  • 64-bit version of Firefox for Windows

    Hello

I was wondering how to get a 64-bit version of Firefox, for Windows 7. A search on the Internet shows these as being available on a few Web site:
    http://www.windows7download.com/
    http://www.firefox64bit.com/

I guess these are genuine, but I'm confused as to why they are not available on the Mozilla site. I searched on the support forum and found an answer that is one year old (http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/782154), which indicates that a 64-bit version may be available after 12 of Firefox. Unless I am confused about the nomenclature of versioning used, the latest version of Firefox is 24. Are there still not a 64 version, but official Firefox available for Windows?

Thank you and best regards, Ashok

Mozilla is not a version of Firefox 64-bit for Windows operating systems. Mozilla has every evening at the alpha level 64-bit versions for Windows, but currently they are generated to verify that this channel every night, the changes are not broken on 64-bit Windows versions.

There are a few 3rd party 64-built, like Waterfox, but these are not the official versions of Mozilla.

  • Cannot print under 64-bit versions of Vista or Windows 7

    Hello

I saw a number of similar questions on different sites, but can't seem to find a solution to this one.  I tried to set up my printer HP Deskjet 710C on Windows 7 (64-bit edition).  The system detects the printer and installed the driver, but whenever I try to print a test page, nothing happens.  If I start to investigate the queue, I find that the print spooler is stopped running.  If I restart the spooler, reprint will stop.

This seems to only apply to the 64-bit Windows versions.  My wife machine has Windows 7-32 bit and the same printer works very well.

I formatted my machine and is back to 32-bit XP - everything works great, so there is nothing wrong with the hardware.  I formatted again and installed Vista 64-bit - I have similar to Windows 7 problems.  In this case, the printer sometimes picks up the paper, but nothing more.  The test page is displayed in the print queue and disappeared shortly after.  I ran the Microsoft Fixit tool, which couldn't find anything wrong.  If I remove the spooler and the attempt to print directly to the printer, the system responds immediately with the "Test page failed print" and opportunity crashed on an Explorer.

The printer connected via a cable directly to the motherboard.  I run on a fully patched Windows 7 and I ran it on fees installs of Vista and 7 (with no other drivers or software installed).  There is no driver HP, only the standard Microsoft one.  The printer is listed on all the relevant compatibility material lists.

Can anyone help, or is Win XP my only solution?

    Thanks in advance.

    David

I confirmed that the pilot ends on the x 64 platform.  You will need to ask HP to fix this one.  There are a few other models that use the same basic components that fail also on x 64.

the failure is in this function
    HPVSCP50! SwathCutter::SelectFormat

I changed some of the settings of page size to see if I could get at least a page of test of the device but no luck.

  • Lightroom 2.7 64 bit does not work on Windows 7

I bought a new computer with Windows 7 above. I went to the Adobe site and downloaded the demo of Lighrtoom 7 (Miss only the use of my disc 2.0).  He installed the 64-bit version.  I clicked it and it came with a screen with a radio button asking to enter a serial number or continue to use the trial.  He then locked.  I uninstalled and reinstalled, as administrator.  Same thing.  I have re downloaded the .exe in the case where something happened in the download. I got the same results. I uninstalled the third time and installed the 32-bit version, and it worked.  No idea why he's locked?

Try running it without the tablet. There has been some problems with the pilot of the Tablet and LR and I think that some had to back the driver to get things to work.

NOTE: my laptop operating system is: Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit.

All the tips useful on this topic will be useful, & thanks, Chris Canfield.

I installed PSE 7 on my computer whose configuration is the same as your machine and PSE 7 works good about it. Not know

Its always advisable to try the latest versions (PES 10 or 9) because it contains a lot of new features than its previous versions.

  • Is there a driver for HP Scanjet 5370C that works for Windows 7?

I have upgeaded from Win XP to Windows 7 and HP scanner does not work. HP doesn't have a driver to Win 7 support.

  • waterfox claims to be a 64-bit version of Firefox. Is it? Is it safe?

I noticed that IE provides a 64-bit version. Looking for a 64-bit version of FF I found Waterfox. He claims that it is a 64-bit version of FF. Is it? Is it safe? Are there plans for a 64-bit version of FF?

Official Windows versions of Firefox are 32-bit. Mozilla has been the creation of test of a 64-bit version of Windows of Firefox versions, but an official release is probably not any time soon. The Mozilla developers also indicate that the 32-bit version is faster than the trial of 64-bit versions and recommend to users, including the testers stick with the 32-bit version.

Waterfox is a 3rd unofficial version of Firefox. If you use a certain plugins will not work because they are only 32 bits, and some extensions (in particular those who have binary components) will not work.

  • I WAS TOLD THAT I'M RUNNING A VERSION 32 BITS OF MOZILLA/FIREFOX BY THE UPDATE OF THE PLUGIN. HOW DO I CHECK IT OUT AND OR REPLACE IT WITH A 64-BIT VERSION?

failure of the plugin, went on the plugin updater @ firefox site .you said I had to download a 32 bit and a 64 bit because I was using a 32 bit browser(mozilla/firefox).is there a 64-bit browser?

Mozilla doesn't have a 64-bit version of Firefox for Windows, still.

  • Windows 8 will be a 32-bit version?

I have some programs that are designed to run on a 32-bit system and I'm curious to know if there will be a 32-bit version of Windows 8 created? Thank you

Yes, Windows 8 will support 32-bit (x 86), 64-bit (x 64) and processors of holdings of ARMS in 32 and 64 bit versions.

Windows 8 32-bit by default to disable 16-bit applications, so if you have 32-bit applications with 16-bit installers, they will not work by default. You can open the control panel > open the applet of the 16-bit subsystem and can get your applications to work.
