• Opening project CS4 CS5

  Hi guys

  I'm opening a CS4 CS5 project.

  At the opening, I get a message saying that it was created in an earlier version of Pr and must be converted. I click OK and get a screen showing all project files and clips with options to "jump" or "ignore all". I tried to open the folders but nothing is there, and he said: 'no items matching your search. I tried to type the project name in the "File name" field the same thing. I click on a clip, but that doesn't matter either, so I click "Ignore all", and when the project opens all the clips have been replaced by an image saying "media offline". According to me, if I right click on each clip I can re-edit but that would take time as there are 75 in the project. Any ideas how I can get this project to work on?

  When you open a project CS4 CS5, the conversion will result in a new file name with _1 appended to the name. At the opening of this project, you will need to show PR where the files he heads in the right directory. Once you have done for the first file, it will automatically find the other files in this directory. Since you have now put all files in jumping, I suggest you delete this CS5 project and import back to CS4 and taking little time to direct PR to the appropriate support.

  Probably been covered, but could not find in the search of the forums.  Can I open a mac based project PrPro Cs5 in Windows and vice versa?  Same question for AE.  Photoshop does this, so I think that the Pr would be too.

  Should be little problems go X-platform for PrPro. Note: there are some effects and Transitions in the PC version, which do not exist in the Mac version, but usually PrPro is good with the lack of effects and Transitions (3rd part), with informative dialogue screens help you to locate the missing items. At least that was how it was in earlier versions and I hope that CS5 has not cut out.

  With respect to EI, I can't help migration of platform-X.

  Yes, Acrobat 9 is included in CS 5 web premium see, Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium release notes

  You can download the installer from here: Download Adobe Creative Suite 5 products

  When you run the installer it will give the list of the included apps you can just select Acrobat and install it.

  Yes, that's correct. There are a number of effects and transitions that do not exist for the Mac that has the Windows version otherwise. You will probably see something like "offline filter" in the effect controls panel for effects that do not have Mac versions. I think they'll just be ignored (they obviously have no effect - pun a little), or you can delete them. Similarly, transitions that are not just Mac will appear as a generic transition no name placeholders; Similarly, they do nothing. If one of them is critical to the output, you will need to replace it with something available on the Mac.

  I have been using PPro2.0 for the last 4 years.  I recently installed PPro CS5 (as part of the CS5 Production Premium).  I have a lot of models that I created for my videos, I created with Agency 2.0.  I'm having problems opening in PPro CS5 projects?

  Note: I was told by Support technique Adobe that I should save agency 2.0 original projects in a 2.0 organization folder then copy projects into a PPro CS5 folder then edit it... just in case there is a problem.  This is me has failed a "warm fuzzy".  Any input?

  Also, I read the discussion about the product documentation CS5 (the thread about CS2 update to CS5 in this folder).  I also posted a message about the CS5 documentation in the record of the Creative Suite.  Bottom line...   General advice on this forum has ALWAYS been to carry out projects in the version in which they started, unless you have absolutely switch to another version

  Making a copy of the draft is also a good idea

  It is quite different between CS2 and CS5 who a former project may or may not work

  I had never tried your method before, but after testing three times, I got the same results as you did. However, if I manually saved the project (press Cancel, then save the draft) in the camera application, it was recorded in the messaging application, when I went there. • I would like to know if it is possible to create a time indicator in my project of CS5.

  I build a Work-out video and I need a clock or time indicator in the corner of my film which plays for a minute.

  The timecode effect in Premiere Pro will only count the upwards, as is reading the elapsed time of the sequence or clip. To make a 'clock' which does nothing else, you need to associate another application.

  After Effects, for example, can control a layer of text by using a script - so it's easy to make a stopwatch, and there are many tutorials on how to do it (Google is your friend).

  If you only have Premiere Pro then there is not a lot of options. Of course you can film a real life clock and add that in the sequence as a new layer - this may sound silly, but given the right settings, it can look great. Back in the day, it was how TV news live clocks have been inserted.

• Shortened CS5 does not save

  I tried to create some custom keyboard shortcuts sets to spread until a task force of 25. The shortcut sets are created to be able to easily get dictionary preferences and another to access dynamic spelling. Shortcuts sets work very well a couple of times and then disappear shortcut keys, that I put in place. I then have to recreate them. To the best of my knowledge I'm creating everything correctly.

  There was a post from August 12, 2011, on this problem but it was for a Windows operating system, so it is difficult for me to say what is the solution for this problem.

  I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.6 InDesign CS5 version 7.0.3. If there is no more specific information, someone needs it please let me know.

  It's a good idea to restart InDesign after you create new shortcuts or preferences. Sometimes, the settings are not saved until you quit, so if InDesign closes abnormally (accidents, or you do a Force Quit), newly changed settings may be lost.

  You do not have Force Quit InDesign, do you think?

  I'd like to update 7.0.4. worry about these problems, but anyway, before you restart InDesign after setting a new shortcut and make sure it works [always].

  PDF layers are something different that layers of the PS and yet once then it makes a difference if the editable data was created by AI or inDesign for example. C.C. already said, you need to properly export your document to the PSD of AI to use these layers in PS.

  I worked on a project of first Pro CS5.5, using only DV film, music and images, and the project has been very slow, with the picons having to redraw on a calendar each time I spend between sequences. I go to my characteristics below the list and we hope to learn from experienced people you where the weakest link is in my system.
  

  A couple of years, I have upgraded to an editing system, using many of the form proposed by evil.

  Two disks of 80 GB Intel X25M MLC GEN 2 in a RAID, as (very fast) boot disk

  I use only one disk to the project - maybe it's the weak link? The drive is a quiet Western Digital 2 TB 7200 RPM 64 MB SATA 2.   Is it not enough free space? -What is bogged down the system? I have Premiere Pro meda files cache defined on the same drive. Should they be on another drive? Put music in a separate car/cache folder? Do I need to buy several discs and link them to my Areca RAID card? Do I need a faster graphics card? What is causing her redraws slow screen?

  
  

  Here is a link to a screenshot of 4-minute movement, illustrating the slowness and the lack of response from my project by rubbing through sequences different maturities. Note that almost the first 2 minutes of the video shows the time it takes for the entire project clips, music and see still images to load. And then once everything is loaded, the washing is still trolling.   Your specs are great. This should easily manage several tracks of AVCHD video footage and have no problem handling 10 or several tracks of DV material, but I wonder why you only use a disc media simple when you have such a great raid controller, why not use several disks in raid?
