  Is there a way to open a project first CS5.5 in CS5?  I'm trying to transfer a project done in CS5.5 by a colleague at my system of CS5.  I've been avoiding CS5.5 because I, personally, haven't had need for it.  I'm waiting for CS6.  I would not buy CS5.5 just to go to CS6 in 6 months or more.  It is a pro bono project, so there is no way to justify moving to CS5.5 from some $$.  :-(

  I'm opening a CS4 CS5 project.

I click OK and get a screen showing all project files and clips with options to "jump" or "ignore all". I tried to open the folders but nothing is there, and he said: 'no items matching your search. I tried to type the project name in the "File name" field the same thing.   When you open a project CS4 CS5, the conversion will result in a new file name with _1 appended to the name. At the opening of this project, you will need to show PR where the files he heads in the right directory. Once you have done for the first file, it will automatically find the other files in this directory. Since you have now put all files in jumping, I suggest you delete this CS5 project and import back to CS4 and taking little time to direct PR to the appropriate support.

  With the help of project manager, I collected and moved a project created with CC Pro Prem to another machine running CS5.

  When I try to open the project on the machine of CS5, I get an error message saying the project appears to be damaged and cannot be opened.

  Hi Martyn,

  Project files are not backward compatible, mainly because of new features that make their way into each new version of Premiere Pro that are written in the project file. I don't remember when they made in the software (CS5 seems if long ago!), but the best would be to export an FCP XML file or a file AAF of CC. These options are available from the file > export menu.

  You can export either an FCP XML as a set of the project or the selection of sequences; Export AAF is available on a per sequence, with editing being the active panel Panel basis. Note that these will preserve * most * of your sequence data, but some effects and features that are available that in later versions will not travel. And, there is also no guarantee that your project/sequence will be completely reconstructed as you had in CC, so proceed with caution. Move forward with versions isn't usually a problem, but if you intend on back and forth between these versions, it could do a little bit hairy.

  Yes, that's correct. There are a number of effects and transitions that do not exist for the Mac that has the Windows version otherwise. You will probably see something like "offline filter" in the effect controls panel for effects that do not have Mac versions. I think they'll just be ignored (they obviously have no effect - pun a little), or you can delete them. Similarly, transitions that are not just Mac will appear as a generic transition no name placeholders; Similarly, they do nothing. If one of them is critical to the output, you will need to replace it with something available on the Mac.

  Simple... you SpeedGrade 2015.1 (9.2) and PrPro 2015.0.1 (9.0.1). They don't 'work' together.

  You must get your PrPro up to 9.1, 2015.1 release. If your desktop application Adobe CC is not show your 'eligible' for the upgrade PrPro, sign out of it, then back in... that often useful. If this isn't the case, you may need to use the soft Cleaner CC Adobe to remove the application from Office CC & then reinstall it and reconnect.

  I was working on a project last night on a computer at work and when I tried to open it today on my computer at home I got this error message:

  You will need to open the project in 2014 and then save it under a CC, and then open in CC and save it as CS6, then open in CS6 and save with CS5. It's the only way.

  I have a project of great 90pg in indesign that was forwarded to me by a previous to be completed and modified Designer. The file was last opened this summer in CS5. I have since upgraded to CS5.5 and am now need to complete this project. I tried to open it for the first time the other day and InDesign says 'cannot open 'filename.indd'. Until I downloaded the latest update to InDesign, I tried to open the file as a copy and InDesign said: he cannot open 'filename.indd '. The "filename.indd" file is damaged (error code: 4). I downloaded from the update but I still get the same results. The file size is 5.9 MB and in my opinion, there is some place inside PDF files. Please tell me there is something I can do to fix this file!

  5.9 mb sounds a bit small for a document with image preview 90pp, unless the last action was a save as.

  You work with the demo? Export Premiere Pro project brings only the images in AE, it brings in cameras, lights or AE effects. I don't know anyone who has ever used it. The only way to get an After Effects in Premiere Pro project, so that the remains of AE project in tact is to use dynamic links and which is available as part of one of the suites. Production Premium or Master Collection is all they both have this ability. Two products different or two demonstrations do not work.
