Is there a version of Flash Player that runs on 64 bit of Vista computers?

Fundamentally, it is the question.  It worked and then there was a message to upgrade and I upgraded and now I had to uninstall flash player and have nothing to use.  There will be a version for Vista 64-bit operating systems?  Many Web sites use Flash Player for all of their clips.  There is another player who could work?

Currently using Internet Explorer 9, but I'm perfectly willing to go back Mozilla Firefox if this will help.

Why did you uninstall?

In any case, Setup 64-bit http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550 should work well on Vista x 64.

You are running Internet Explorer by chance? If so, the Flash Player you have is NOT in need of Adobe Reader and Acrobat. If there is a link in the message, use that, rather than assuming that you already have Flash Player. If this does not work, let us know.

  • Problem: Cannot install the latest version of Flash Player.

Impossible to download and install the latest version of Flash Player.  The installation program downloads very well but the installer will not download the Flash Player. I keep getting a message "connection error" the installer.  I checked my DSL connection and it works properly. I use Windows XP (32-bit) with FireFox 38.0.1 and Flash Player 17.0.0.169.  I had similar problems during the installation of the 17.0.0.169 version but after 3 or 4 attempts it finally downloaded and installed successfully. My Flash Player configuration is set to 'Allow Adobe Flash Player install'.  I tried to close FireFox and my Norton software on the security line during installation, but I still get the same error message. • Could you please let me know if Flash Player will inform a user that its system requirements are not enough when you try to use a version of Flash Player?

    Hello

Could you please let me know if Flash Player will inform a user that its system requirements are not enough when you try to use a version of Flash Player?

    Concerning

    It depends, but generally, no..

Guidelines for the minimum system requirements are especially on what we and won't fix the bugs for.  Flash Player probably works on Windows Server 2000 and we will not intentionally break it or prevent you from installing, but we will also not fix it if it breaks.  In cases where it will crash on launch or some other out-of-box horrible experience, like trying to install on a Mac PowerPC, then we will prevent pure and simple installation.

All processors Intel i3 having at least 2 hearts, your specifications far exceed the requirements; See http://ark.intel.com/products/family/75025#@All

  • Why are there now TWO Adobe Flash Player required to view all of the Web sites: v11.9.900 and v12.0.0.43?

I had Adobe Flash Player v.11.9.900.170 and upgraded to v.12.0.0.43. When I checked the Add-ons Manager, both versions of Flash were listed and active. I disabled the earlier version, and now indicate a few sites I don't have Flash. When I re-activated the old version, the video has played very well. So what's the problem with it is necessary to have TWO versions of Flash Player installed, the current one AND a previous one? Seems hinkey...

@cor-el: the previous version seemed to disappear of itself, about 12 hours later. I checked the topic: plugins page (along with the Add/Remove Programs), and only the latest version of Flash is not installed. I have already refreshed the pluginreg.dat file.

There always at least a web page that asks for the installation of Flash Player, but it works very well on almost all other Web sites.

  • Remove old versions of Flash Player?

I downloaded Flash Player NPAPI 23 successfully today. I noticed on my control panel Windows (Vista) that Flash Player ActiveX 22 and 22PPAPI are still installed. Should I uninstall manually 22 versions?

Here the 3 different versions of Flash Player for different browsers:

    • NPAPI is for Firefox and browsers based on NPAPI
    • ActiveX is for Internet Explorer
      • If you use IE you want to install Flash Player ActiveX version 23.  Launch IE and go to https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download and install the latest version.
      • If you do not use IE, you can uninstall Flash Player ActiveX 22.
    • PPAPI is for browsers such as Opera Chrome.
      • If you use Opera, normally, you want to upgrade as well, however, there was a reported issue yesterday against Flash Player 23 and Opera (see Flash PPAPI 23.0.0.162 plugin does not work in Opera and chrome) so you can hold off on upgrading to Flash Player 23 PPAPI for the opera.
      • If you do not use Opera, you can uninstall Flash Player PPAPI 22.
  • Impossible to install the latest version of Flash Player on Mac (OS 10.9.5)

Asked me to install the latest version of Flash Player on my Mac (OS 10.9.5). First of all, everything went as usual: I downloaded a disk image, called "AdobeFlashPlayer_22au_a_install.dmg", and when I click on that I get a "Adobe Flash Player Installer" on my desktop, as usual. When I click on this Setup, I see the "install Adobe Flash Player.app". So far so good, but when I click on that app install, the following window appears

    Adobe Flash Player_message.png

but there is no other window open (I rebooted my Mac and begun the process to the course, and I get the same message).

When I click on 'Finish', I'm brought back to the Web page to download the Flash Player installer (which is already on my computer).

Can someone tell me what could go wrong here?

    Thank you very much

    Thomas

    Hello

This window appears if you have multiple instances of the Flash Player installer open and a reboot would solve the issue, but since the restart has not resolved the issue may be that you don't have the correct update file. Could you open terminal and type md5 /Users//Downloads/AdobeFlashPlayer_22au_a_install.dmg and see if the value is 99e3ccf6bc343de051908066ea06248e.

If this isn't the case, then you do not have the good try Flash Player. Please download the get3.adobe.com/flashplayer.update/osx update file.

If the problem persists, please let us know.

    Thank you!

  • Facebook games requiring another version of Flash Player

I have a desktop PC, using Windows 10 and using Google Chrome as my browser. The latest version of Adobe Flash Player is installed on my PC. There are games on Facebook that the Adobe Flash Player Version 11.3.0 rewuire. How to install it and it will interfere with the version I already have?

    Hello

It is not possible to install and use, Flash Player 11.3 in your current configuration of the system like Google Chrome integrates Flash Player.  Although it is possible to install another version of Flash Player and have Chrome uses this version, via the launch of Chrome using command line arguments, Chrome only supports the PPAPI plugins now and 11.3 was not available as a plugin PPAPI released.  In addition, 11.3 was released in October 2012 and has not been updated to resolve security vulnerabilities fixed since its release, which, if installed would leave your system open to known security vulnerabilities that have been fixed since the release of 11.3.

  • Impossible to update Flash Player that is 11

I have Windows 8.1 and that is 11.0.9600.17498. I went to the Adobe Flash Player help page, and it says I have 16.0.0 and Windows 8. But I have 8.1.

    Flash 1.png

I went to the Page to find my Version and got this:

    Flash 2 (2).png

I had the Flash Player update set to warn me when updates available, but I realized that I have received no notice of the Age. I went and changed to be updated automatically. The page in case of problems, it seems that if I have the latest version of Internet Explorer, I get the latest version of Flash Player. I tried to update that is there for Windows 8.1, computer 64-bit, but when trying to install, I got this:

    Flash 3 (2).png

I have Mozilla Firefox installed for backup. I checked it. He had the same outdated Flash version, but I was able to update. I prefer to use that is, just because I'm so used to it after all these years. Any suggestions?

Flash Player is built using Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher.  Everything comes through Windows Update.

Flash Player in Google Chrome is a built-in component of Chrome.  Everything comes through Chrome.

Flash Player for Firefox and other browsers NPAPI is distributed via Adobe and can be downloaded at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.  Settings you change in the configuration panel apply to this specific target of Flash Player.

Because Microsoft has its own distribution requirements (tests, etc.) which need to be addressed before they can ship, we can beat them occasionally by a couple days when offering security out of the release cycle.  In general, the difference is quite negligible, and synchronization problems are the only practical limitations and a desire to get the fix to the greatest number as soon as possible when we discover something bad in the wild.  We get a bit of a head start on Microsoft because it is our product, but they do a phenomenal job of getting out in timely releases.

  • is the flash uninstall program uninstalls all versions of Flash player?

Hi all, I noticed that when I installed a new version of Flash Player, version stays and can be seen in programs and features.

my main question is: because the available on Adobe.com Flash uninstaller uninstalls all versions of Flash, so Flash cleaning entirely from the system?

    a few side issues:

-can I use any old Flash uninstaller to uninstall my current Flash?

-Why the new auto Flash does not uninstall the old Flash during successful installation?

    It's complicated.

Flash Player is a built-in component of Microsoft Internet Explorer on Windows 8 and higher and on Google Chrome.  Run the uninstall program removes these, because they are not under our control.

For the other browser plug-ins, run the uninstall program should clean them.

Updates to Flash Player replace installed Flash Player.  We ship on a monthly basis, leaving each old version installed on your machine would be pretty silly after a very short time.  Each release also includes important security fixes, if you always want to be browsing the web with the latest version of Flash Player.

  • I downloaded the latest version of flash player, does not?

I just got my computer back to be fixed and I'm redownloading everything I need.

I have a Mac OS X Version 10.7.5 and I downloaded the latest version of flash player for it. It seems to be installed because there is a window opens saying "Thank you, enjoy flash player." or something like that after I downloaded the flash player.

I tried several times and I STILL can't watch videos or doing things that require flash player.

I went to my preferences system, clicked on Flash Player and went to the progress bar, and he says "plug-in version 11.9.900.117 is installed."

However, when I go to this page: http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player.html

And I click the "check now" button to see if flash player has been installed on my computer, it says:

"Sorry, Flash Player is either not installed or not enabled.

Please proceed to step 2. »

And so I did and downloaded AGAIN. I saw the same thing once I reloaded the page and try again.

I don't have an anti-virus program, so it can't be that.

    The flash player is enabled?

How can I check if it has activated activate / it?

It is usually in the Tools section of your browser.
