  • Whenever I get close Microsoft Word, it displays a window saying that Microsoft Office Word has stopped working?

All the documents that I close (if it is registered or not, whether it is empty or not) shows an error message saying:

Window with the loading bar appears: header 1 - "ofMicrosoft Office Word has stopped working ", heading 2 - "Windows is checking for a solution to the problem... " "

Changes in wording (remains of load bar): header 1 - "Microsoft Office Word to try to recover your information... ", header 2-"it can take several minutes. "

It takes then about 10 to 20 seconds until the charge bar disappears and the text becomes: header 1 - "Microsoft Office Word has stopped working ", header 2-"a problem caused the program to stop working correctly." ""  Windows will notify you if a solution is available. "

This process happens every time.  Sometimes it restarts the program, and other times it ends just (closed) it.  I don't know if this is related to this bug, but I met another problem that began at the same time as this one:

Could this error be caused by my computer or Microsoft Word?  Does anyone have any information or conclusions of how this error can be fixed?  Is there some registry tweaks which can solve this problem?

    Specifications of the computer:

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium Service Pack 2 (32-bit)
    Pentium Dual-Core CPU T4200
RAM is 3.00 GB if it is of no use

Computer is up to date on all updates, including Microsoft Office

  • Windows Media Player and Microsoft Office PowerPoint has stopped working.

My laptop came with Vista installed. 2 weeks ago Windows media player has stopped playing video files that I receive by email. I tried to save the file to my desktop and play from there, but the same thing happens. He will play the first few seconds and then stops. In addition, Viewer PowerPoint from Microsoft office has stopped working. The error that says my anti-virus program may be the cause. I am currently using Norton Antivirus 2009.  I uninstalled Norton, but I still don't have the same error. All this happened after I downloaded and installed all the recommended Vista updates about 2 weeks ago.

    Hi anicho,

Welcome to Microsoft answers community forum!

I would like to ask a question to better understand:

    (a) what was the update has been installed?
check the update to install and remove the most recent and check. Here is the link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/windowsupdate/learn/windowsvista.mspx

    (b) what video format you are able to play on Media Player?

You may need to do the following if you have not created a restore point

    Clean boot:

This article describes how to start your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
    5. click on OK.
    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If your issue is resolved, follow the how to determine what is causing the problem section in KB article to narrow down the exact source.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 . In addition, refer to the section on how to restore your computer to a Normal startup mode

Try these steps after the clean boot and see if it works:

Type command prompt in the start search box, right-click on command prompt and select run as administrator
    Type regsvr32 wmp.dll
    Press ENTER.
There are also a few Fix it automate solutions on the Microsoft Fix It site, you might want to try:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/FixIt#tab6

Alternatively, you can uninstall the Service Pack 2 (if you meant SP2 for updates) and check to see if it works
Here is the link to uninstall: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948537

To download the stand-alone version of Service Pack 2 for vista follow this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a4dd31d5-f907-4406-9012-a5c3199ea2b3&displaylang=en

  • On startup, I get this message that says «Office Agent has stopped working - Windows 7»

At startup I get this message that says "Desktop Agent stopped working" apparently this has something to do with the link of the century. What this mean and how can I solve this problem?

Original title: program compatibility Application Applications App Apps game games Legacy Crash crashes Hang hangs

    Hi Donna Lewis.

'Set Office agent' If you look closely at the error, it will say something about the port officer at Qwest. This agent is like the update of the installer of Qwest.

    Try this...

    (a) click the Start button, in the start search box, type msconfig and press the Enter key

    (b) click on the Startup tab and scroll down until you find Desktop Agent sandbox.

    (c) clear the disable check box and click on OK.

Just delete the Qwest Installer through Control Panel and you should be good to go.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need help, please after return. We will be happy to help you.

  • Acer Predator G3620 does not start / has stopped working

Hey, I got this computer from a friend who does not need it more. I have not had a true PC in 6 years. Always used a laptop with Linux, do not have a Windows operating system from 7. (I don't know no * beep * about material things) So, I got it home, bootet and everything works fine. A ran a few points of reference for the video card, checked if everything was ok. He had installed Win8.1. His former * beep * is all the more this thing, so any format / install Win10!

I started the installation of Win10 in Win8.1 because it is somehow, he would not start the USB at the start. If something copied PC, I cancelled it bacause I couldn't choose my language and I tried to boot from USB again, but it did not work. So I hold the Power button until the coils of PC, press again and nothing. (The USB stick with Win10 works fine, used to install Win10 on my computer laptop girls last week.)

No output display, no Acer Logo, no screen of any kind. The fans all run (CPU, GPU, case). The power button, there is a small circle indicator thing. When I press the power button, it's blue for like 5 seconds and then it goes off and nothing happens. The sign of power remains just orange!

Numlock lights will not illuminate, mouse driven stuff does not illuminate.

There is an SSD of 16 Go inside, but the Windows files are all on a 500 GB Partition.

Don't really know what to do, please help me :-)

Data sheet: Acer Aspire G3620 (AG3620_H) Predator SNID:24100255718, Core i7-3770, 8 GB of RAM, 1 TB HDD, 16 GB SSD, AMD Radeon HD 7770

    I TRIED SOME THINGS:

Turn it off for half an hour, running again. Same question.

It turns off, took out the RAM GPU and BIOS battery, waited 15 minutes while. Always the same.

Looks like something related to the motherboard, I suggest you to update the BIOS by the way so if it is something related to it, it can be fixed.

  • I get an error that Word (running locally but is Office 365) has stopped working when I try to save a word.doc to a .pdf file?

Why does the word end when I try to save a .pdf file?

I assume you are using the Save in format PDF Adobe Acrobat CC feature.

If this is the case, the problem is in the code of Microsoft for which an update was issued the week last by Microsoft. Update your Office 365 and the problem should go away.

  • Inaccessible computer administrator profile: service Agent has stopped working

I have vista.  I did a Windows Update on 22 November (date to about) and I am not able to access my user profile on my HP laptop.  My user is able to connect and also give my (Administrator) password to continue with his office.  I tried a system restore to a date prior to the update. That has not fixed the problem.  In addition, when you use the internet error message (explorer): set office agent has stopped working. The options are debug or close the program.

I can only answer question on plateau of Office Agent...

Desk tray Agent has stopped working

Start button > in the search box, typemsconfig > press the enter key > uac prompt > to the highStartup tab > scroll down until you find the desk agent Board >uncheck the box > OK

Desk tray Agent is an application used by Qwest. If you do not need to do this, go to programs and features (or, Add and Remove) > locateInstaller of Qwest > uninstall it.

  • Weird black/window box after commissioning; "Explorer has stopped working". Error messages; Do not click on some things in the start menu; several McAfee icons in the lower sidebar...

    Where oh where can I start?  When I start the computer, my office is always in the background, but there is a pop up looking for black box thing.  There are no long enough for me to read what it says.  Something about system/Windows32 (not full title), then past to something else, even once too fast to read, disappears.  Then a window that says;

    • Online: 223
    • Char: 2
    • Error: 1% is not not valid Win32 SENSITIVITY
    • Code: 0
    • URL: file:///C:/Program%20files/PeoplePC/ISP3700/HTA/station.brt

There is an option to run a 'this page with a script' or something to that effect.  If I choose Yes or no is not serious.

    Under this window is another

    "Runtime error!"

    Program:C:\ProgramFilesCyberLink\PowerDVDDXL\PDVPDXSrv.exe

Application has requested the execution in an unusual way.

On my sidebar on the right low in McAfee Ms red with white background icons, many of them until I sweep (no click) with the cursor.  They will disappear after the scanning, but then return.

When I click on Explorer or the window will Flash quickly on and outside, or should I get the message "Windows Explorer has stopped working".

I can get on explore if I disable all add-ons.  But it won't let me check yahoo IND. e-mail messages.

When I try to go to things in the start menu that look like we can help him, I'll either get the error messages or off quick flashes of a window.  When I went into Control Panel, nothing happens when I click on the icons.

When I went into the System Configuration. then click on services there are things that say that they are arrested.

In its responses, please explain things as you explain to a 60 year old grandmother.

    Hello Halima S,.

Thank you for your response.  I was checking things until I found your answer.  Do not be alerted via hotmail.  Somewhere in my files McAfee "View Log" I found that I was 'ping '.  What is crazy?  In the files for seven times in a row from 09:30-09:34 "SystemGuards have allowed a moment change on your computer."  Should I try to mess with this before that I have use the above tips or try your advice first?

Ping, means that your mcafee dat files are up-to-date and also it cannot be updated no more. so try to update your antivrius manually by downlading latest mcafee dat files and also try runing mcafee!

  • Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Setup has stopped working...

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron E1505 with Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium operating system on it.  I have all the updates/service Pack installed on it and I'm updating.  I use Microsoft Security Essentials for my anti-virus program, windows firewall for my firewall and windows defender as my software anti spy.  A few days ago I reinstalled Vista to do a clean install in order to restore my computer to its factory settings or the State.  I did this cause I wasn't able to get office 2007 installed or working properly, there are several problems I encountered.  So I reinstalled Vista and my computer works great now so I've updated everything that I could and then I tried to install Office 2007 on it with my installation CD and it comes up with the validation code and I type in and it works and it starts installing Office but at the beginning of the installation, it closes and a little window appears 'Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 setup has stopped working' and It must be closed.  so I am not able to do anything with it at all.  is there something I can do?  would it be a bad CD? I don't understand.  I was able to get a new cd and just use my old product code to validate?  Help, please!

I tried a few random things like get rid of AVG Free and adding to the security suite from microsoft, and by installing a high date, that I had to use the seven update analysis tool.  After I rebooted then am Office to install perfectly and all updates worked too.
