Is there a way to download a software that will restore you XP/Hibernate for a usable feature?

Manual hibernation works. Auto does not work. And when I turn it on after hibernation, it performs a full reboot.

No sufficient data.

Note for later: remind me to put this in the UPPER part of my MS Answers lack standards and answers so I don't have to look for it - can I just say a few words in my microphone like... recurring deficiencies MS Answers... and immediately he is deposited on my clipboard for easy pasting.

Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

Sometimes the shutdown, restart, Stand By, Hibernate, the questions are a result of incorrect video drivers on which, in your system, we know nothing.

So that your system from Hibernate mode on its own, the system must be 'inactive' for the specified time interval.

Idle means no mouse, no keyboard, no surfing, no analysis, no instant messaging, no Skype, no movies, no MagicJack, etc..

Your system have installed Windows Search, Skype, iTunes, MagicJack, RSS feeds, any type of instant messaging, any type of malware scanners do scans or do automatic updates as MSE, AVG, Avast, Norton, McAfee, Bit Defender?

If you run a process or anything in the background that consume more than 10% CPU, even for a split second, the "timer" gets reset and the countdown to inactivity long enough to Hibernate will start again.  It could be that your system will never be in hibernation on its own... If something uses more than 10% of the CPU in the widow of hibernation of opportunity.

Your system Hibernate in time if you start mode without failure (most of these processes will not load mode without failure).

What is your Hibernate time set now?

If you define your hibernate timer to something short - as a minute, it works very well?  How about 5 minutes or 15 minutes?

Now give a few more details:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

Msinfo32

Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.
