  Go to a page of internet translator like Bing Translator or Google Translate and paste the body of the text file in the text box for the foreign language.   Is it possible to convert a text file to an MP3 file in the Alex voice on the iPad or Windows PC?  Apparently, this can be done on the Mac.

  I use the Alex voice to read the text all the time on my iPad, and I would like to be able to save the text as an MP3 file so that I can play on other devices (for example, iPod, Windows PCs).  So far I could not find built into the functionality of the iPad or iPad app that would allow me to do.  I also was not able to find any program for Windows PC that does this.

  I found various programs that convert text into MP3 files (for example, TextAloud3, Voice Reader home 15, etc.), but I like the Alex voice much more than the voice in these programs, so I really hope that there is a way to do it on the iPad or Windows PC.

  N ° you can't do on an iPad. I don't think there's a way to do it on a Windows PC since voice is the property of Apple, as far as I know.

  Are you familiar with JavaScript?

  It does not completely answer your question, but the text displayed on the screen from any language (ActionScript/CreateJS / [insert the programming language]) generally all following the same path. Each language has a file stored in some form of key = value style, named through the language and the country of your choice, for example en_US.json

  Any language would allow the user to choose regional settings. The application would then grab the appropriate file and everywhere where the text is needed, the script must be using a (usually global or singleton) variable/service that can get the text of the requested key.

  for example if I wanted a user to have a confirmation of dialogue who said 'are you sure?"with buttons for 'Yes' and 'No', I would have (for me), an Englishman, USA base file en_US.json with these values, for example:

  Then you use simply JS/AJAX to read this file. You analyze, or simply JSON decode in an object, or manually, depending on what suits your needs. When you want to display any text, you use the object (variable, maintenance, etc.) you have stored these values.

  Just be ready for the most difficult challenge. At least for me. The size of the text in several languages is very different, and in some cases requires the loading of special fonts. This can make layout in a very difficult dynamic environment. Always thinking all text how big or small can be in any particular and plan field on this size more and shrink so that to handle this situation correctly.

• Insert text into a TextFlow

  I am able to get the text (all or part) out of an exisiting TextFlow by using TextFilter.export or textFlow.interactionManager.createTextScrap ().
  
  However, I can't understand how to insert text into a TextFlow (after the initial TextFilter.import). I see no textFlow.interactionManager.pasteTextScrap (textScrap), but which requires the use of the Clipboard. If I use TextFilter.import, it replaces everything and it seems that I need to recreate all the ContainerController objects, etc. I see that IEditManager has a replacement feature, but it does not help really me to add text or to replace the text with a new text. I guess I'm missing just something obvious.

  You're not missing something obvious. There isn't really anything native in TLF to do what you are looking for. I had the same question just now and is come to the conclusion that it was something that I had to roll my own solution.

  In Final Cut Pro 7, you can use editing > find command to search on used clips in the sequence. See if there is an equivalent command in FCE. Unfortunately, I can't determine that at first hand on my system. (In addition, if you are still interested whereas FCP X, there the so-called Timeline index which provides quick access to a list of markers, clips, effects, etc..)
