    Hello Sir,

I want to thank the size of the RAM of my book of mac pro mid 2012. May I know what is the maximum RAM, it supports?

    Thank you.

It may depend on whether it is the version of the retina.   As there are several options in terms of opinion, you may want to type "what is the maximum RAM for a Macbook Pro mid 2012' and read."    Officially, it seems that Apple says that 8 GB.

You can also go to OWC (Macsales) which are recommended in these columns and discuss your question one by one.

I need to replace the video card on my Mac Pro mid-2012 (OS 10.8).  It came with an ATI Radeon HD 5770, 1 GB.  It is the only card that works with this machine?  If this is not the case, what are the cheaper options.  I do not use the computer for games.

    Thank you!

  • Used Mac Pro mid-2012

    Hello

I have a Mac Pro 2006 1.1 and still works very well with the updates, I did a couple of years with an SSD, ATI Radeon HD 5770 and

24 GB memory Crucial and it is running Lion. I bought my computer nine at the end of 2006.

However, I'm starting to look at investing in a new machine but used. I think the Mid Pro Mac 2012 (base 12). I checked the many tourist attractions, including Powermax and ebay. I have an idea of what the price from the 2012 used range, but I noticed that some sellers eBay out of California are selling the machines for a lot less. I reached out to a couple of them that have 100% of positive reviews to confirm the machines are original and not have been updated to older models that they were able to verify.

Is there a reason the computers would be cheaper in California, but more expensive with a company like Powermax who

is an authorized reseller of Apple products?

My reasons for thinking a used model is that the new Mac Pro are too expensive for me right now. If a used computer can stand for 3 to 5 years, then it's worth as long as Apple ends not supported for the 2012 model. I use my computer for graphic design, rendering and video creation from time to time.

Any feed back would be appreciated including all views on the purchase of the 2012 (Basic) machine 12 Mid.

    Thank you

Very few Applications actually can enjoy more of a handful of kernels. Compressor is one, if use you it.

Otherwise, these Macs tend to be I/O bound, this is why a SSD Boot drive gives them such a performance increase. If you can put the Source on a single disc, Destination on the drive of the anther, Scratch, on another drive and boot/system on an SSD you can see more actual performance increase that moving to 12 cores.

If you do NOT need 12 cores, the differences between the model 2102 and the 2009 model are tiny.

It seems that this application is marked as unknown. You can uninstall it and see if that helps.

It also appears that the amount of your current RAM to 4 GB is low for your workload for less than three hours of courses already the system has had to kill a number of its processes. You can consider increasing the amount of installed RAM.

  • Bootcamp only gives me the option to install the secondary internal SSD flash disk. Mac Pro mid-2010

I have a Mac Pro (mid 2010) and spin El Capitan (10.11.5). I have an SSD that I boot OSX of. I have a 4 TB harddrive that store data on. And I just installed a Virgin SSD (same type as my drive OSX) I want to install Windows 8 on. When you run Bootcamp, it only gives me the option to install Windows on my hard drive of 4 TB. He's going right to the start screen of the screen asking me how large, I would like to partition. No SSD is given as an option. The new SSD is shown in disk utility and in the Finder. I tried to format it in FAT, ExFAT, and OS X Extended, but it is not yet appear in bootcamp. I also tried to boot from the installation DVD, but nothing seemed to happen. What should I do?

If the SSD (s) is not connected directly to the MacPro SATA connectors, you will have problems. Of your SSD are supported on a SATA connection?

  • Mac Pro mid-2009 upgade of El Capitan

I have a Mac Pro mid-2009 that I updated to El Capitan.  Can I enter my ID and password. After that if freezes on the Apple screen and will not bring the user interface.

I assume that you have installed El Capitan on your existing operating system. The captain is not good to reconcile the differences, which is probably why you can't fill a start-up. If you're lucky, the recovery partition is intact. Hold down command + R to start and select the recovery partition. You can try using disk utility on the drive containing El Capitan. It probably won't help, but it won't hurt. If this does not help, and you have a full backup of your previous system (or, at least, all your data), you can erase the disc and try again. Once the new El Capitan is happy, you can use Migration Wizard to move your files and applications on the disk with the new OS El Capitan.

I have almost identical to your own equipment. I got the best results by moving my data and applications manually. I had Snow Leopard to El Capitan, but it was too big a stretch of the Migration Wizard, especially since I had permissions custom on many folders and files.

So it seems that you need to develop your ram on this model because your running a lot of things at once, or the system is spent as you have used. Its pretty easy to install new ram on your template as well.

Your computer can be upgraded to 16 GB of ram on this model. There are several kits out there to buy for this as well with. Let me know if you need help.

N ° so you have a backup if something goes wrong you can return to Yosemite.

Only concern is that some devices, including USB that may require the updated drivers, but these records are not always available

  • With cable of HDD to SSD Macbook Pro mid-2012

I've recently upgraded to SSD (Samsung Evo 850) of the HARD drive on my Macbook pro mid-2012. However, the installation of the SSD has been very painful. I tried to use in recovery mode disk utility, several times but it fails to remove or mount the SSD drive. I thought it was the faulty SSD. Then I hung the SSDS via a USB port and proceeded to install OS X on it (using my HARD drive). The SSDS works very well with the USB key, so I put it in and hooked up with the flex cable that was previously used for my HARD drive. However, this does not work, the operating system sees that there is a reader hooked, sees the name, size and etc, but does not charge, gives me the sign of question mark folder, which means there is no hanging drive. So I think it's something with the HARD drive, SATA cable. But the cable works perfectly when used with the HARD disk. So I was wondering if the HARD drive cable that comes with Macbook Pro mid-2012 is compatible with the SSD. I watched several videos of people the SSD HARD drive upgrade, but they all seem to be using the same cable. Any ideas what could be the problem or if I need a different type of cable? Thank you.

Try this it worked for another user having the same problems.

Your MacBook is looking for initial start-up by car but can not find.

Power on the Mac and hold down the 'option' at the same time, and then manually select to boot from the drive of choice.

    Also, try this first:

    SMC and the PRAM Reset

I have a MBP mid-2012 13 inches and I did an upgrade SSD with a Samsung Evo 850-series (500 GB.). However, I had no problem.

I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the original disc for the SSD via a USB-to-Sata adapter.

My first start was slow because I don't have the SMC / PRAM reset my MBP was looking for startup disk.

However after my MBP starts very quickly. I got no problem with Samsung Evo SSD. They work very well with Macs.

Don't forget to activate the "pad" your non - owc SSD support.

Open "terminal app" and enter the command 'sudo trimforce activate' select YES, YES... and restart after completing
