  Is there any fix planned for the slow lingering and pervasive in LR6/cc? I disabled the GRU.  I cleared the cache.  My catalogs are updated to LR 5.7.1.  Everything is slow.  It doesn't matter what it is.  Its takes twice as much time to do something.  LR will freeze for 5 to 15 seconds at a time without apparent reason.  The use cases are to go "Not responding" are numerous and vary widely.  I check the CPU during these events Nn sensitive usage and its pretty much slowed down.  I have check the disk usage and its also generally inactive.

  I thought it might be VSCO plugins, but it's not.  LR5.7.1 is always screaming fast while LR6 is an old slow cow.

  Here is an example that I saw that is repeatable:

  (1) start an import

  (2) choose the photos from an SD card

  3) click the + to add them to the catalog

  4) appears to enter a catalog name

  (5) start to type in the dialog box.
  (6) after may entered 8 letters, LR goes "Not responding", 10 seconds

  (7) after LR starts responding again, emphasis on catalog name field has been lost

  There is no reason for a freezing here.  The CPU does nothing.  The drive does nothing.

  There are things like that in every sense.

  Another example.

  (1) develop the Mode

  (2) select a photo

  (3) left and right panels are hidden

  (4) browse the side panel right of the mouse so that it will pop-out

  5) LR freezes for 5 seconds

  6( ) when the right panel opens, click on the number of exposure (0) and try to type in 1.25.

  7( ) after after graduating 1,2, LR hangs for 10 seconds.

  8( ) when LR answers once again, finishing by typing in the 5 other (1.25) and press to enter.

  9( ) the image immediately illuminates as expected.

  Yay!  They have updated LRCC/6 today.  The slowness and latency seem to have disappeared! Yay!  I can get back to work!

  I'm looking of vCO API that can me DO the config related information (such as the network, authentication db, licenses etc.) and workflow related information (e.g. list of all workflows by default, workflows created by the user, schedules (if any)). Is there an API that can get me all this information... ? I looked in the documentation and all I can find is how to DEFINE these configurations using workflow IDs. But I couldn't find any API to GET this info.

  I also searched the workflows in vCO, but I could not find them. All the config associated work streams listed are to SET configurations.

  What I'm trying to accomplish the task above, is that I take a backup of the vCO and am restaurant then. I want to automate the procedure to verify the accuracy of the vCO after restore. So I thought to compare the associated config info and associated workflow info before the backup and after restoration. I tried the following things, but none of them seem to be trustworthy.

  • Associates of config info
    • Export the config (vmoconfig) before you perform the backup and after restoration. Compare the checksum for these files. But the checksum does not at all. Actually, checksum is does not match even if I take two times without making any changes to the configuration. Maybe some timestamp is included inside the vmoconfig file. I couldn't find the differences because it is a binary file.
    • I saw a few config files under/etc/vco/app-server (sso.properties, vmo.properties etc.). I don't know if it's ok, if I compare these files. If they are active, can I safely assume that vCO restoration is correct... ?
  • Associated workflow info
    • I created the packages before and after the restoration and tried to compare checksums. Here, too, I faced the same problem. Although I did not bring any changes to the workflow, checksums are different.

  So I'm puzzled so how to proceed. Any help on this front. ?

  There are a few different laptop Qosmio. Older have on touchpad very smooth surfaces. Qosmio G20, it's a little rough.

  It will be very interesting to know than the one you have. Usually, each user should be very gently as it is very sensitive and it is not necessary to put pressure on the TouchPad.

  Try to do a reset. Hold home and buttons power together for 30 seconds or until you see the Apple logo.
