Is this a normal behavior?

Here is the log of trap to plug a phone into our pile of 7048Ps. We had very strange questions lately where the captain to spend randomly restarts and then a few hours more later masters new reboots...

I have the feeling that happens when a phone is plugged.

Any thoughts on this problem of port? What happens here with stp? BTW, portfast is enabled.

I tried to replace & APP_USER. in the above code with & APP_ID. and & SESSION. two of them work very well. I found that & APP_USER. does not work inside javascript.

  • Second monitor - this is normal behavior?

After a long time away from my computer, I'm learning to use Lighroom. I'm trying to make use of my second monitor. When I choose full screen or click on '2', my second monitor shows only the photo selected in the main screen. If I select "Grid" get the grid, but the main monitor climbs to the photo selected. I can't "grid on both screens. And even if I could, I can't get the side panels to work in the library on the second monitor module. I want to especially use now to help me straighten my keywording that needs a lot of work. With the second monitor I wouldn't have to scroll and drag to raise a keword in a folder hierarchy because I could just drag over the second monitor (sailed until the end of the keyword Panel) in the hierarchical folder.

I tried all the settings that I see. I'm pretty sure I should be able to at least see the grid on both monitors. Is this bad? And I read somewhere a tip to help work with keywords that dragging the second to the first monitor. Is it possible to see the Group of keywords on the second monitor?

It is a new installation of lightroom 3.6. Only, I imported all my photos because I really need to start over. It does not appear that the files could preferably be a problem this soon? No problem with the help of the second monitor with Photoshop.

    Any advice?

    Thank you!

    Peggy

    Peggy,

What you see, is how it works. It is not the way most of us would have designed things, but you're there.

No, there isn't a way to see your list of keywords on the second monitor, although it would be nice to be able to see them on the two, precisely for the reason that you want.

To make things a little easier, instead of dragging a key word at a time, you can select several of them (Ctrl-click on a PC) and move them all at once. That can speed things up for you.

  • is this a normal behavior 2 windows?

I don't remember ever having a new window, same photo, which is therefore linked to the first window,

that you can not do something different in the new window, in this case, turn off a layer.  It turns out

off the coast of the windows layer and so I cannot do the work needed in the other window seeing under.

Right... Mask (specifically the channel) visibility can be specific window. But the visibility of the layer is not, it is global.

  • Contour Contour - a normal behavior?

This is a strange anomaly, that I ran.

I drew an open unique with its ends crossing path (line see black in the photo below).

When I saw the line everything runs into a place that overlap (see red shape).

Separate ways produce objects that overlap when indicated, so I would have expected the form in my example overlap.

It's like a Pathfinder unit has been applied.

Is this a normal behavior? Illie has always done it this way?

    Outline_stroke.jpg

    Steve,

Is this a normal behavior? Illie has always done it this way?

It is always difficult to determine whether a behavior is normal or even rational, but she always behaved like that.

I think she sees a path (self overlapping) as a single object and is unable to decide a split in parts, although there is an order of anchor Points; and after all, a path overlapping free can have only a single segment so it is not always possible to consider an order of segments.

Apart from this, a split would lead to separate paths, if not (with coinciding ends that could be traced if paths had to be traced)?

And if the order must appear without the path cut it out, it wouldn't require strange solutions, apart from him give a splitting headache, try to understand?

  • Is the normal behavior of assign only a tablespace to a schema?

    Hello

I just posted a thread that has successfully met, but with the new information, I doubt again:

We have users who store their objects in a schema.

Usually, if the person / organization behind what the user wants to put in place a different another application, it will create a new user for this purpose to have stored logically its objects.

But maybe sometimes that's not possible because tables and DB objects can have a common part that must be shared by both applications and individual information (data) only can be logically stored in the same place (even though I know a single table may have its data in a tablespace, and also the data in this table in a different tablespace).

I guess that's a good idea to have different tablespaces, such as one for the object and the data that is common, one for data and the objects of the application1 and one for the data and objects in the application2.
In doing so, we can put a tablespace offline to change the application1 objects without affecting the operation of application2.

    So, my questions:

    My argument is correct?

Is - this frecuent in the business having a schema (user) data were separate to the tablespaces serveral?.

Or is the normal behavior of not only assign a tablespace to a schema?

Wouldn't make more sense to have two users / permissions on objects and patterns?

In my experience, small applications (with respect to the number of objects and the total size of the data) use usually one or 2 drawings and single tablespace (sometimes 2 if they want to separate from the data in the tables and indexes in the table). But large scale as ERP software applications tend to use multiple schemas and several storage spaces. An example interesting is Oracle Applications model Tablespace (OATM) described on page 3-5 in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B53825_04/current/acrobat/121oacg.pdf.

  • Satellite A500 - on the screen and the volume of media keys control the normal behavior

    Hello

On my laptop Satellite A500, I have no screen 'volume bar' when I use the media keys of volume (located between the speakers). I find this odd, like many other phones that I use (including the Toshiba) have this feature. In addition, the volume bar between the - and + media symbols of the keys never lights upward.
Could someone please confirm that those are normal behaviour? (Note that my Fn keys, utility eco work and so on).

When you have installed iTunes, and you download it from anywhere other than the Apple servers. There is a new version of the 12.3.2.35 installer that came out some time around 23/24, which can solve the problem for you. Download and install on your existing copy.

  • This is expected behavior with master isolation?

    Hello

I test HA in a vSphere cluster 5.1 and I want to know if the behavior seen when a master is isolated is normal.

I have 2 knots in my dev Setup. When I isolate my slave (host B) virtual machine stays on as planned (response of isolation leave it powered on).
Host B shows that does not and the virtual machine is disconnected, so this works as expected.

When I isolate my master (host A) of network management of the electoral process unfolds.  Host A show that does not as expected. My virtual machine appears as turned on host B off.
The diary of events for the virtual machine tells me that

-the VM is off on host B

-l' host B cannot open the VMX file

-vSphere HA switched in vain this virtual machine

All the while my VM is accessible and functional. As soon as the host has is is more isolated my VM appears as again propelled this issue.
If everything seems to work as it should, but in vCenter messages say otherwise. Is this normal?

When I simulate a failed host everything works as expected, regardless of whether it is master or slave

The behavior you're seeing is planned.

Let's start with your recent tests. When you remove the current master of the management network, the other FDM is still able to communicate with the master, and so it reconnects with the 2nd network. The election you are seeing is the result of this process - the slave FDM lost access to the master, drops in the State of the election, received a message 'am master' of a master and connected. A master of FDM sends 'Master am' election messages on all its management networks every second and a slave will connect to the master using any network of which he received this message.

VC reports no master, as you alluded to, is because the VC cannot communicate with the master. VC knows that there is a master because the other FDM would have said what is the master. I'll drop a PR for us to improve the text of question config.

Regarding your original posting, I think that the difference of behavior you observed is due to a problem that we have fixed in version 5.5. When you have isolated the master, a new master election occurred. There is a race (we closed) between the new master learning that on the old host virtual machines are turned on and the main workflow for the restart of virtual machines. If restarting the workflow performed too fast, the new master would try to restart the virtual machines that he discovered later were running on the remote host.

Finally, a clarification of the following statement by taking in charge:

"As it is the master who shall report to the vCenter, until a new Master has been established, the display in vCenter won't be accurate when it is isolated.  (I think vCenter new elections of master/slave status is checked every 2 minutes by default).

VC checks actually for a master every 10 seconds by default. How much is the value of 2 minutes of time VC tries to connect to a master before it reports via an event/config-problem, what it does.

  • Not sure if this is normal?

We organize several virtual machines on a Dell 2950 with 32 GB of ram. Recently, I noticed that in the first hours after startup, the allocation of resources to a domain controller has watch the host memory 'construction site' at the start of the 20 GB all available by about 5 GB and it never comes down again once. The memory of comments is about 1 GB most of the time. I can't work if this has an effect on the performance and wonder if it is 'normal' or if we have something wrong.

  • Is this large normal DNG file format?

    Hello

    1) I get this picture in RAW and then decided to convert to DNG cause, it is easier to use the DNG format as the original Canon RAW format. The DNG format is now 8Mb in size.

Now, the idea is to post-processing, the DNG in Lightroom, but I kinda need to do some pixel changes first in Photoshop and for that, I'll opt for the opening of the DNG format in Photoshop. As usual, the window pop up ACR and since I did not have to do any editing here, I'll just open a copy of the image (Alt + open). Before that, I configure the settings of openness, that I chose "sRGB; 16 bits; 240ppi"because I want to keep the more possible data.

I do my editing of pixels in Photoshop, save the image as a TIFF with ZIP compression and the file is now 52Mb in size. Which is a little strange because if I save the TIFF file without any compression, the file is only 58Mb in size.

In any case, I have then open the TIFF file in Lightroom and do all my editing necessary. When I finished, I want to keep this photo to DNG as opposed to TIFF cause I think it is a most versatile and for that format, I export as DNG from Lightroom (or I could convert the menu library). At this point, the size of the DNG file is like 43 MB and I still think that its way too big.

Is this normal file size? How is this new file has more than 40 MB? Is it because the file is 16 bit and there is no way around it? I think because save the same 8-bit, produced only 12 MB file with ZIP compression. But I still don't quite get it... I mean, all the data of the original RAW file installed on the first conversion to DNG with only 8 MB file, how will the other needs like 40 or even 12 Mo (if it is stored in 8 bits) when the original has only 8 MB? This becomes even more confusing when both files (the original DNG and the 16 bit TIFF) report as of 48 cases of depth, which means that the two are 16-bit files. Why the huge difference in size? I'm doing something wrong?

Above is the main question, but I have a couple more if you don't mind associated with the workflow described above. Please respond separatedly and listed as I did if this isn't a problem.

    2) as you can see above, I chose sRGB but I know that Lightroom works in ProPhoto RGB. Should I have selected ProPhoto RGB instead of sRGB when opening a DNG copy in Photoshop?

    3) no matter what the color profile, I select, save dialogue of the TIFF file after the Photoshoping as a little checkbox saying "ICC profile: xpto ' and if it is enabled, the color profile is saved in the TIFF metadata XMP part. Is it really necessary to save this metadata field or can I just ignore it?

    That's all for now

    A RAW is 1-color-by-pixel, maybe 12-bit or 14-bit.  A TIFF file is

3 colors per pixel and in your case, 16 bits per color per pixel.  If a

TIFF should be approximately three times larger than the RAW format, but there is

a compression without loss with RAW so the actual size is difficult to predict.

Agree with other people that can answer, it is better to use LR, first make your

adjustments, then as a last step, make any remaining editing in Photoshop,

Save as either TIFF 16-bit ProPhotoRGB if you're going to be a edit

further and save a copy as sRGB if you have finished editing.

ProPhotoRGB holds more colors than sRGB or AdobeRGB PP is 'better' as a

intermediate color space until the edition is no longer will be performed to

This time usually converting you to sRGB for viewing online or work with

in a non color workflow.  Here is a gallery of images that

    demonstrate why use of PhotoPhotoRGB:

    http://www.PBase.com/ssprengel/tech_colorprofiles

XPTO suspicious noises as a color space.  If you do not know how this

color space is assigned to your image in Photoshop, you need to understand

Why.  Out of Photoshop, I think a picture is

ProPhotoRGB (if you have not finished editing), AdobeRGB (if you're on a Mac or)

He's going to a printer off site there), or sRGB (if you have completed

Edition and it will be consulted online or locally on your computer and you are

    on a PC).
