Is white of new Transparent bg in CS6?

Hi all, thank you in advance for taking the time to help me with a problem im having.

I tried to figure out why when I select "transparent" for the bg when you create a new document, it creates a new doc with a white bg?

I can't select and remove the white bg, I can't delete it. He's driving me nutts!

Please help meh!

You can also check if your settings match those seen in the screenshot below (ignore width, height & resolution - watch the rest):

If you want to get rid of it, and if you have a document with white background created

Double-click on the 'Background' layer, which is displayed in the Panel of "layers".

In the dialog box that appears, click OK

Notice now that the layer is "unlocked."

Now, you could either create a new layer above this and select Layer 0 and press 'Remove' to remove - your background will be transparent.

Otherwise, you can use the magic wand (shortcut key W) tool:

Click once on the document canvas (white area in the document), press 'delete '. Your document will become transparent.

Trust that this assistance.

  • Transform white pixels in transparent pixels?

It's probably very basic, but...  I am a printer and only really use Photoshop to change the RGB to CMYK, clear cut (with Vertus fluid mask) and things like that.  But many photos that I have to cut clear have been done already, but not (or which is given to me to use the record) with transparency always there.  Is there an easy way to transform all the white pixels with transparency?  Of course, you'd have to hide the white pixels in the image that you want to keep.  An example is attached.

    Steve,

    Try the following.

1 covert the context in which the regular layer (layer > New > layer)

    2. Select the white area with the magic wand or quick selection tool

    3. hide the selected area (layer > layer mask > hide selection)

4 export the image (file > save for Web) in GIF or PNG format:

  • I don't want white, I want transparent!

There are file .psd. A single layer. CMYK. For the CMJ, there is 0%. For K there are 92%, 95% often 100% in different places. Any custom shape or image. It may be this:

    all.channels.jpg

And when I click for black to disappear channel, it turns into this:

    withoutK.jpg

I didn't have any white form but full transparent. I need all of the CMYK channels, but nothing in the other channels - even no white shape or color, exactly nothing - so that it can be as transparent.

    Can anyone help?

In a printing press, they put this black shape on Let's say rectangle cyan, then hide black channel, and they see a white instead of black form - because it's somehow in the other channels.

They are trying to black overprint. InDesign won't let you not put the overlay of a placed image, so you will need to set to multiply. If you can do your codes bar in Illustrator, the overprint attribute can be set for the black vector fills and she is respected by InDesign when it is placed

  • Yosemite & NEW installation of InDesign CS6 - questions?

I installed on my 2010 Yosemite MacBook Pro. My boss wants me to buy InDesign CS6 as a new installation. (I've never had any version of InDesign installed on my Mac). I prefer InDesign CC, but he's going for him.

I've seen a few questions where those who have already installed versions of InDesign CS6 have problems with it after the installation of Yosemite.

Given that mine would be a NEW installation of InDesign CS6 on a Mac of Yosemite, I wonder if there are any known issues.

I don't want to buy the software and then have problems.

(I'm not having problems with already installed versions of Photoshop CS6 and Dreamweaver CS6 and Yosemite).

The problems are happening with update installs Yosemite. If you did a clean installation, you should be fine. An upgrade? Anything other than a roll of the dice.

Download the trial version and give it a whirl.

BTW, you could explain to your boss that CS6 will cost $700. A subscription to InDesign will be $ 20 $par month.

  • Experts help you! White background as transparent?

I received a file where the upper layer has a white background with a black line on her drawing. It seems completely opaque, however, there are layers below with color and white acts as if she's not here and it is completely transparent.

I know a number of ways to get the white on this layer transparent, but I don't know how they do this to make it appear as if white is NOT transparent. I see no mask or a blending mode or anything like that. And it works beautifully. I would really like to recreate, but they did this. In the zip file is a PSD small cropping of the file so that you can see what I mean if you open it and maybe until you see a kind of treatment on this layer that I'm not.

    Help, please!

    Thank you!

I do not see a blending mode. Multiply.

  • I have a version of CS6 which by adding white to my transparent mix

In Photoshop CS6, I now I can not solve a problem. If you have a transparent layer and create a mixture that is a transparent color (Say black Transparent using the layer mask or a black brush, or by using the tool to erase to erase some black as being a gradient) one of these methods to create a blend with transparency. In the layer it seems OK and has no white in the mix, I need to save this in PNG and maintain this transparency but then when I save it for the Web it just for the mixture by adding white and keeps all the other transparency.

I have done this time much, much and it works on other computers with CS5, CS6, but this one has a problem and I can't find out how to solve this problem. Does anyone know the trigger to maintain transparency?

Oh and I have transparency defined in PNG settings, of course, I've done it before

Thank you if you can help

When you use the save for Web, are set to PNG-8 or PNG-24?

I use Photoshop CC, which lists 'Save them for Web' as a legacy and PNG-24 feature works properly when transparency is checked; whereas the PNG-8 must be set to the dithered transparency works reasonably well (I found the broadcast and the trend work better, depending on the situation - and the dithering noise was visually unpleasant). With PNG-8 No. dithering of transparency value will replace transparency with white/background in all areas where the alpha channel is not completely transparent.

You can also try the regular ' Save as ' dialog box - what is what I used in general when I used CS6 back in the day, and I had no problem with PNG transparencies.

  • Problems with white text and transparency from Photoshop to Acrobat

    Hello Adobe community!

What I do: I have a design that I created in Photoshop CC. This design has a transparent background. I try to save it as a PDF in photoshop, so I am able to open it in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and print it on a color with only design showing paper

Question: When I open the PDF file in Acrobat. I see only my white text and a light outline on the part of my design and still not all the rest of the design.

Then when I print it on paper to color only the text appears (with a black stroke) on paper with my crop marks, I've done in the design of the PS. also when the text becomes transparent for some reason any (showing the color of the paper through the race), even if the text was put to white and the PDF presents the white text printed on colored paper

    Here are my steps:

    1. create Design

    2. save under...

    3. save - under Photoshop PDF

    4 [] as a copy, not controlled

    5. [check] layers, checked

    6 OK

    7. the General settings-

Adobe PDF preset: [print high quality]

    Standard: no

    Compatibility: Acrobat 9/10 (PDF 1.7 +)

    Preserve Photoshop editing capabilities, verified

    Embed page thumbnails, Unchecked

Optimize for fast web viewing, Checked

View the PDF after registration, unchecked

    8 - compression

    Compression: None

The rest of the settings are default.

    9. open a PDF of the file

    10. printing with the default settings

    11. look at my design massacred in the press

    12 frustration continues

If for any reason any its like Acrobat of 'ignore' the white in my design? I'm so confused, and I've been at this for hours, through the forum post after post on the forum and it seems that I do everything correctly, but I get anywhere with it.

I hope that I have added all of the necessary information, it's my first time posting here.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Would someone mind looking at the file? any help would be much appreciated.

Note: also, I inverted the whole design makes all black instead of all white people. followed the exact same steps as above, and it printed perfectly. My confusion/frustration continues.

You wrote:... also when printed on the paper of the color the text become transparent for some reason any (showing the color of the paper through the race), even if the text was put to white and the PDF document shows the text white .

You cannot print white using an inkjet or laser because it is not white ink or toner in the printer.

White was to come from your document that should be white.

All the presses and printers use CMYK inks or toner.

What is the definition of white? C = 0, M = 0, Y = 0, K = 0 so not a single of any ink drop is hoisted on paper in an area that is supposed to be white...

Of course it will show the color of the paper in the areas where there is no ink.

When you see something white that is printed on paper dark special white Opaque spot on an offset press using a color...

(there is a model unique inket Epson which can print ink that appears to be white.)  The model is $ 7,000 by the way. ink [White] is $350, all other inks are only $90)

    On the Epson website:

Ink Epson UltraChrome HDR white introduced an all-new organic hollow resin particle technology, forcing the fire to disperse randomly, producing the illusion of seeing white color.

Note that even only claims Epson, it produces the illusion of white.

The only way around this problem is to print on paper white and printed the "paper color" everywhere on paper that doesn't have your elements of design. ".

  • White streaks - new faces?

    Hello community,

My impression has horizontal white streaks on them, only on the black parts.  It is a L7680, so I separated CMYK ink cartridges (already tried to replace the black), as well black Yello replaceable print heads.  I tried to clean the cartridges, as well as the calibration of the line and the alignment tools.  Also ran HP Print doctor, which was completely unnecessary and went through all the step described in the doc of the Forum on the fault-finding.

Do I need a new head yellow/black?  The diagnostic report said 'good' for his State.  Are the White streaks that I'm getting a possible symptom of degrading the beginning?  Would like to know the chances that this will fix the issue before falling to $70 (already spent $44 on the cartridge, then it would be a very costly failure if neither ended up help).

What else could be, given the above symptoms?

Thank you in advance for your help!

The black print head certainly does not work for the top 20% or more nozzles do not print correctly.  In my view, the health of the print head is an electrical test on this model, but nozzles can still be blocked.

I would run three rounds of head cycles from the Panel of cleaning as shown in four Solution, third stage here of the document here.  If this does not resolve the problem I suggest to remove the print head and watch the nozzles of the debris.  It is not recommended to manually clean nozzles, but I'd wipe the printhead gently with a damp cloth.  If this helps to improve the diagnostic test can help another cleaning cycle.  If this isn't the case, it may be time for a new printhead.
