• [Filter plugin] Can we add a new transparency plan?

  I created a filter plugin and I want to add to the transparency of the image. If the image is already a layer, it already has 4 aircraft (1 for transparency) and it works fine, but if the image is flatten, there are only 3 aircraft and I can't find a way to add a new aircraft to add transparency.

  I can't disable the plugin when there is no transparency (with the PSHOP_HasTransparencyMask property) but I think that this can be confusing for the user and add automatically the transparency would be better.

  Is it possible to do this that I missed? I tried to change FilterRecord but when I try to move to the new advanceState function outPlane returns an error.

  A filter cannot add transparency unless it already exists (ie: you are filtering on a layer).

  You can change the existing values of transparency.

  If the image is flat, you need an Automation plugin to change the background to a layer.

• Is white of new Transparent bg in CS6?

  Hi all, thank you in advance for taking the time to help me with a problem im having.

  I tried to figure out why when I select "transparent" for the bg when you create a new document, it creates a new doc with a white bg?

  I can't select and remove the white bg, I can't delete it. He's driving me nutts!

  If you want to get rid of it, and if you have a document with white background created

  

  Double-click on the 'Background' layer, which is displayed in the Panel of "layers".

  

  In the dialog box that appears, click OK

  

  Notice now that the layer is "unlocked."

  Now, you could either create a new layer above this and select Layer 0 and press 'Remove' to remove - your background will be transparent.

  Otherwise, you can use the magic wand (shortcut key W) tool:

  

  Click once on the document canvas (white area in the document), press 'delete '. Your document will become transparent.

• I was dreaming when I used to create a new transparent layer, then go to the EDIT menu > FILL and fill the layer with a color.

  For the days last 5 or more, I am unable to do so. I just reinstalled photoshop to see if it worked but still not good. Anyone else had or having this problem?

• How can I move an image in a new layer

  I hope someone could help me.  I need to pass only an image of an image in a new layer with a white background.  I tried everything and can not make it work.  If someone could help with this, I would be grateful thanks TI.

  Have you selected all before copying?

  Otherwise if you select a part of an image, once completed the outline press (mobile dotted) Ctrl + J (Cmd + J) which will copy into a new transparent layer. You can drag a white background below.

  Update your driver from the website of the manufacturer of the GPU video card.

  If you cannot update the driver for a reason, disable GPU design in Photoshop and then restart Photoshop, until you can get ann updated driver that corrects bugs in the video card driver.

• Work with text on Transparent background

  If I create a new transparent background file - a png - it is difficult to actually see the text well enough to make changes such as kerning or by choosing lighter colors for the text itself. So, I hope to find a way to generate a title or a banner with a transparent background as a final product but first work on that and apply touch-ups with a background that is easier to see.  Is there a way to temporarily change the background transparent to white or another color, then the transparent rear switch? Starting with a white background in the file psd and generation of text - as a title or a banner - and then deleting the background with the magic wand or make a color selection and delete seems a long way around to solve the problem. I tried to create a new PSD with white background, creating the title of the text, cropping, then using save in png or even save on the web, but somehow, I always get the original white background behind the text. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  If you create a new transparent image, you can put a layer of fill color below the text layer and either turn off the visibility of the layer for the color fill layer (look next to the layer in the layers panel color fill)

  or remove the color fill layer before you save the file as a transparent png.

  You never want to save a transparent semi as a gif. always use a PNG image for that, regarding objects, make sure that the original transparency has no artifacts visable semi to start.

  As long as the original transparency is actually clear artifacts he should always save this way.

• Black does not print all of a sudden on my two HP printers

  Black stopped printing. When I ran out of ink today and replaced the cartridges, black print order. I tried the other printer cartridge that did not work, but when it was replaced, black stopped too print on this printer. Cleaning the printhead has not helped.   I am currently working on a project of game modding than altered uses of the photos as icons.  Most of these photos have (usually white) background which I am replacing it with color gradients.  My usual method for the manufacture of the icon:

  1. Create my gradient background in a white square of size; Save this file.
  2. The Outbox folder, add a new transparent layer.
  3. Open the photo to be altered (file B) and my game-icon (file C) model in separate tabs.
  4. Select the unwanted parts of file B with the magic wand tool; Cut; repeat if necessary.
  5. Select the entire image is in file B; If so, resample a file match B and C (256 x 256 pixels, 96 DPI).
  6. Copy the picture and paste it into the transparent layer of the file has.
  7. Flatten image in the Outbox folder, and then select all and copy.
  8. Paste this new image (with the gradient background) in the C file transparent layer.
  9. Flatten the image into an icon of the full game, recording as a file D.dds with the "Alpha channel" and Alpha DXT3/Explicit options.  (You will need the Nvidia DDS plugin for this step.)

  Usually, these steps give me decent looking results (see photos #1 and #2 for a before/after).  Sometimes, however, the wand chooses too and cannot limit the unwanted area more (see photos #3 and #4 for a before/after). I would like to try the lasso tool if my hands partially paralyzed could manage other users of Photoshop here are technical advice?

  

  Color range selections, channel operations, the adjustments made on the custom selections / channels. You need to combine several techniques and selections. For example, you can always try to create a luminance mask, save it as a custom channel and using levels or curves adjustments cut unwanted parts, and then load it as a choice on which you can then use the edges, refine and add / subtract / intersect other selections...

• How to make invisible layer masks

  I have a text im use as headers on a background is textured. but after the application of effects scroll, I can't find a way to get the text to disappear under the header. pls see attached image.   Duplicate the texture of paper and create a transparent visor mask in Photoshop. (just low enough to block what you want but the same width as the original)

  Create a layer between the paper and the text. Pin the new transparent .png image upward to match the document below

  Make sure that the text of HONOR is the top layer of most.

  I got the best results when you add the timecode effect to a video layer TRANSPARENT as opposed to an adjustment layer.  File-> new-> transparent video.  See if that makes a difference.

  Put this code exactly as it is to let you know where it comes from.  You have the style with the background color that I commented in the code above and inserted a new transparent called background.

  If this does not work then you need to go to the CSS of origin corresponding to this code and comment out the code for the background without using the transparent background.
