• Choose ISE or Vivado Xilinx tools for a specific compilation of FPGA

  Is there a way to specify what version of Xilinx Compilation tools to use when compiling an FPGA VI? I want to try the version Vivado tools rather than the version of ISE to see if there is an improvement. I have listed some information on my setup below.

  SMU-PCIe8388 / SMU-PCIe8389 controller
  LabVIEW 2014

  Looks like the PXIe7966 FPGA must be compatible with the tools of Vivado 2013.4.

  I tried to uninstall the version 14.7 ISE tools, and install the 2013.4 of tools Vivado (so Vivado 2013.4 tools are the only xilinx tools installed on the computer). But LabVIEW complains that the ISE 14.7 tools are not installed and does not compile the FPGA VI.

  This FPGA is a Virtex-5 FPGA, so you're stuck with ISE.  You need a card FPGA that either uses the architecting chip (I think it was only in cRIOs) or 7 Kintex to use the compiler to Vivado.

Is this a question expected? There is of course the xilinx website, but do I need a specific version and how can I say? The target FPGA's Virtex-6 LX195T if that's a factor. LabVIEW 2013.

  You have the 2013 LabVIEW FPGA Module Xilinx tools installed locally? Who has Xilinx coregen, which is what you will need to configure their intellectual property. If you are some intellectual from the LabVIEW FPGA palette, it should "work".

  I'm not familiar with these protocols, so I can't answer the question precisely.

  NOR has several FPGA products with high-capacity chips.  I guess that they could manage the protocols, but I can't make any promises.

  Unless you're already an expert ise, I don't think you're going to end up with a more effective than LabVIEW code.  I guess that's a possible higher capacity chips are available for ise as LabVIEW, but I don't know.

  One thing I like LabVIEW is that you can write the code and compile it for the target without having to purchase the equipment first.  You could program the algorithm, and then understand what size FPGA, you put on.

  I am running a new installation of WinSvr 2k8r2 order on my server at home. and when I try to install Powershell ISE, I get error 0 x 80070643 installation.  I read the entries posted here but all are specific to MSSE and related to Win7, Vista, or Windows XP. What should I do to fix this error.

• PowerShell does not open, Powershell ISE throws the exception when starting

  I am running Windows 7 SP1.

  When I try to start Powershell (x 64) or Powershell window will appear for less than a second, and then disappear.

  When I try to start Powershell ISE (x 64) I get an error on the application of "the exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x7568c44d."

  When I try to start Powershell ISE I get an error on the application of "the exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0xfd96adad."

  I tried to repair .net 4.5 and I tried to reinstall Windows6. 1 KB2506143-x 64.msu.

  When you try to install KB2506143-x 64.msu I get "the update is not applicable to your computer."

  When trying to make sure that the old powershell is uninstalled I can't find KB2506143 in the list of installed updates.

  You can only recover the cli password after you restart the node of ise of the installation DVD. There is no other method.

• ISE 2.0 Server backup problem

  Hi guys

  I'm trying to implement backup-TFTP to an ISE 2.0, but the TFTP entry does not appear in the repository list, once I configured it.

  Does anyone else have this problem?

  I also had problems with FTP backups. The repository is configured and healthy air. The backup starts, runs for 5 minutes while getting progressively to 80% and fails. Newspapers reported simply that there so I don't know why he did it.

• ISE Server - query of multiple networks

  Hi guys

  We intend to deploy a Cisco ISE server to handle NAC for 300 users (Windows, WYSE, phones Avaya and HP printers). DHCP is running on the domain controller and the ISE interface Layer 2 visibility of all of the network segment management.

  We received an additional amount for a dedicated/completely separate switch VLAN which provides unlimited Internet access. It would be connected to a third-party router connected to the Internet, allowing connections directly on the internet. Indeed, it is a completely separate network of a single VLAN and Internet access.

  Is it not possible to manage the security of the ports for that VLAN from the ISE Server? If so, the server ISE would need an additional NIC configured in the VIRTUAL Internet LAN subnet?

  Basically, I wonder if a single ISE server can be used to manage 2 totally independent networks. The Internet would not use AD authentication and access would have to grant manually on a case by case basis.

  Just to clarify, ISE has NO need to be Layer2-adjacent to clients to work. Only if you use specific profiles of the probes is this useful ever. Has no use when you perform the validation of the mac addresses or 802. 1 x.

  As for your question, yes ISE can manage the addresses of mac validation by the ex. say requiring access to your 'Internet' VLAN and your internal VLANS at the same time. However, it is not made with the 'port security' switch feature, but rather by entering the mac addresses that need access to your server to ISE and using the "group" you put them in ISE, in ads a condition when the permission access to ISE.

• ISE license migration

  I have the license wireless / wireless upgrate on ise 1.4 and licenses will expire in two days.

  You must contact the licensing team, get your license has changed with mobility and the upgrade of mobility as upgrade Wireless / Wireless does not work on versions 1.3 and above.

  Mobility and mobility upgrade licenses cannot coexist on a node of Cisco Administration at Base of, Plus, or licenses of the Apex.

  But I see most subscription covers a few more things.

  More and Apex licenses are additive on top of basic licenses. There is no single SKU, you can order that includes both. (Unless you count some of the rarest upgrade SKUS to customers with licenses Apex as sub-line items and NAC which include basic, more).

  When I test the functionality of RADIUS using the following command, it fails. HOWEVER, the customer (switch) IP listed in the error log in the front door of the VLAN 20 (!):

  If I reconfigure the switch to the ISE - peripheral network and give it the IP address of 10.18.4.38 (the ip of the gateway), my radius authentication tests suddenly becomes successful.

  The only time I saw that it was due to use a deprecated command: radius server host.  There was a bug on the IOS XR platform as well.

  Could you please reconfigure your order of RADIUS by using the new command: radius server? And test again?

  I was faced the same problem 1 year ago and it was a bug. By starting a manual backup, sometimes the status has been updated. But other times, restart the server, not just restart the ISE application.
