ISO Install Image

I installed FreeBSD 7.1 and Ubuntu 8.10

In both cases, I used an ISO to install and not a physical DVD / CD.

(With FreeBSD uncompress of the safe gz takes too long... I used the native Mac decompress)

Both were VM created on an external drive, whereas the iso file in each case, was on the internal drive.

Later, after the start of each one... and after moved the ISO for the installation of the system file, I get this message:

... Virtual device ide1:0 will start disconnected.

If I move the file ISO back to its original location when installing, I get the same message...

You can't use a mac on windows key and you cannot use a key off a lapot broken to activate windows on a mac.  You need a valid windows key for your operating system.  What OS are you trying to install?  How are you trying to install?

  • Cannot install image on A100 with Norton ghostcast Server

I use Norton ghost cast Server for ghost images for the P.Cs and portable computers on my network. It has always worked satisfactorily until I bought some a100. The dos software starts and works Ghost, but crashes on the opening screen. Seems to be a problem of network/TCP.

If anyone has experienced the same problem and can offer a solution?

    Hello

Do you have what image tried to install on an A100?
En that I know, the recovery images for A100 Toshiba contains a Microsoft Sp2 and if you want to install the operating system you will need to use one with SP2.

I studied a bit here in the forum and especially the use of the operating system with SP2 has solved similar installation problems

  • Satellite C660 - white screen after instalation image recovery

Strange problem. My Satellite C660D-1FM was a bunch of updates from Microsoft (did not updates for centuries as it was used by my daughter and not connected to the internet) and after completing it restarted and I got the Toshiba splash screen and nothing. Holding F8 gives the same problem, tried turning the key '0' and that was the same. Connected to an external monitor and it's the same thing. I can't get into the BIOS and everything seems fine.

Then, thinking that the HDD is maybe defective I mounted another drive hard and fully installed Win7 on a Microsoft DVD (SP1 and all updates) and everything works. Then, I thought I try and restore the laptop to factory settings by default using Toshiba DVD recovery which Id created. Worked well during the installation, all the installed DVD 3 and he's gone through the procedure installation, portable got at the end when he tried to restart it, rebooted and now back to the same error - Toshiba start screen is ok, but then he'll just empty. To convince me that I wasn't going crazy I then reinstalled Win7 my DVD of Microsoft and he moved very well, did all the updates and worked all day today with no problem.

Someone at - it an idea of what's going on?

Hmmm... something like that shouldn't happen.
Do you use the recovery disc for the first time?
Have you noticed the same result on both hard drives?

Problem is that there is not much to do about it and there is no way to change it either in recovery installation runs, or later during the installation of windows is underway.

Try to set the BIOS to default settings and simply try to reinstall the recovery image.

    * updated windows troubleshooting it is constantly with the same error and corrections:

    Problems encountered:

    -windows update error 0 x 80070003 (2016-06-13-T-11_06_27A) not set

-subscription to the service is missing or damaged fixed

  • Product key not valid 32-bit ISO install (DigitalRiver student purchase)

Recently purchased Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, DigitalRiver upgrade (Yes, I posted it there first for the support) I downloaded the ISO file, it burned to a disc, had a perfectly easy time install and then I get the 'Type your Windows product key' and each time, the product key, they sent me by EMAIL and what fits my receipt on their site Web appears as invalid. Double, I checked my typing and had my fiance do the same thing. She has a degree of CS etc, so we know what we are doing. The product key is simply incorrect. I'm starting to wonder have I been shammed or what?

Where can I get this resolved if DigitalRiver will not respond? I have not yet received my installation discs that I ordered from them more than a week ago. (WA State resident)

    Thanks for the tips.

You can call them directly to the digital medium of the 1-877-244-8653 River. 06:00 - 18:00 IS Mon - Fri. The installation disk will really not help because it will not come with a product key. Don't feel a lot of feelings for DR. There are a lot of negative feelings about them in this forum. Frenchie

  • Will be vSPhere Hypervisor key will operate the custom provider OEM ISO ESXi image?

    Hello

I tried to download the vSphere Hypervisor 5.5 and 6.0 towers as ISOs and start on my system, or afficheraient hard drives in the systems.

Systems are servers HP DL380 Gen9 I know are on the HCL.

Is it permissible to use a custom provider OEM image with key vSphere Hypervisor (free)?  Or is it not OK to do it legally?

In other words - should I take the vSphere Hypervisor ISO and customize it by injecting appropriate inside drivers so it does not work to use the free key?

    Thank you

You can use the custom provider OEM image to build. No problems.

Finally got this working, many thanks to William Lam.

Na no need to follow http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2011/05/semi-interactive-automated-esxi.html exactly with 5.5. Startup options are already written in the esxi_installer.log file by the installer. But it is written several times, so I have to do ' grep blah blah | -1 head ' to get just the first instance of startup options. Next steps will include the implementation of all the interfaces of vmk based on the nodenumber.

  • Cannot install Windows 8 assessment (booting from the install image error)

    Hello

I have problems to install Windows 8 assessment. When you start the virtual machine I can't boot from the installation of Windows 8 image to start the installation process. I always get this error message:

    error.png

I use a picture of Windows 8 x 64 downloaded from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/jj554510.aspx. The VMware Player version is 5.0.0 build-812388.

How can I solve this problem?

    Thanks for your help.

    Welcome to the community,

This error occurs because Windows 8 requires the 'Execute Disable Bit' is activated. For VMware Player pass this parameter in the BIOS of the virtual machine, it must be enabled in the BIOS of the physical system. Make sure that the feeding cycle you your system after you change this setting in the BIOS, a simple reboot might not be enough!

  • location of apex in the oracle xe install images

I use FRIEND of Oracles 32-bit 10g amazon s2 image. I upgraded to 3.2.1 apex. I followed by running the apxldimg script. There are no errors. When I hit the login page the images are obviously missing. I right click in order to study the properties of the broken image and I see this "http://**.**.**.**:8080/apex/TEMPhtmldb/builder/right_curve.gif" (Note: I removed the ip address, it appears as *). If I type http://***.**.**.**:8080/i I can see all the pictures. How to upgrade apex in this version of XE 10 g to reflect the location of the image on the right? Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

  • Cannot run or install images of Windows 2000, Windows 2000 works with Fusion 5 Pro?

I have existing images of Windows 2000 tried to run. I also started an installation of Windows 2000 from scratch. Each time Windows 2000 appears at startup with the | bars progress, but when you get to the end, my Mac everything freezes. I have to hold the power button / stop. So far, Win XP and Windows Vista work fine.

Windows 2000 works with Fusion 5 Pro?

I use a MacBook Pro of the retina with the default settings.

Or, go into the settings for this virtual machine and under Advanced.

change the preferred virtual machine runtime engine for ' Intel VT - x / EFA ", for each of these virtual machines, give you problems.

Y at - it a Windows Certicicate for authenticity on the bottom of your laptop or in the battery compartment that has the license of operating system twenty-five characters?

Is there, then you can download an ISO install image and create an installer DVD or usb that will let you use this license key.
