• Issues of recovery site: domain/Vcenter controller

  Guys,

  I'm new to SRM.  I have a few questions about the installation of the infrastructure of the Dr site.

  1. my vcenter protected site is broken out in distinct roles, VC/SQL.  On the site of recovery for the sake of simplicity, that I would just have a single VC with SQL Server express.  Guys do you see any issues with that?

  2. what should always live on the site of recovery from the point of view of the infrastructure?  Do I need a domain controller or can I just add my server to vcenter Site Recovery at existing on the protected site domain controller?

  You should have AD / DNS server to the recovery of the site as well. If your vCenter / SRM are joined to the domain, it will be difficult for them to communicate / authenticate.

  I trying to hook DW CS5 in my Wordpress installation. I thought it seemed simple enough, but I'm stuck, frustrated and confused.

  My test server running XAMPP and a brand new wordpress installation.

  Remote server is running wordpress, with a post test or two.

  In the "Files" window, I can view my files on the remote server, the test server and the local view. The files within each are the same.

  Any help would be most appreciated. I looked through the other thread here and followed the instructions, I could find, but to no avail.

  You have apache and mysql running?

  You have configured the wp-config file? I guess you have or you wouldn't see it.

  Web url should also be http://localhost/wordpress.  This is probably what happens if you have not set it.

  I'm new to DW CS4, but do well get acquainted with it.

  In the definition of the Site, Advanced tab dialog:

  Local news:

  Links from the document is selected.

  -Address HTTP - I'm not sure that the following for use:

  http: www.johnblaustein.com - it's my site

  http://johnblaustein.com/var/www/html/ - this is the folder on the server that stores the site.

  Remote Info - as follows - which works very well to connect:

  Access: FTP

  FTP host: johnblaustein.com

  Host Directory: / var/www/html

  QUESTION: In the tab local info, including the two addresses above use?  I think I simpy use http: www.johnblaustein.com, but I'm not sure.  Also, should I get the "www"?

  It should be the first address.  The folder/var looks like a local folder that is not visible on the web.

  In fact, Muse allows two pages to have the same name, just not the same file name.

  By default, only the file name is generated by the name of that page is given in the Plan view, so is knowing if the duplicate name restriction comes. If you go to the property Page, you can disable this automatic behavior and make the file name you want as long as it is unique for the whole of your site.

  Every page has the name used in the menu (Plan view), the title used in the browser tab and search results, and the file name. By default, Muse generates the title and the name of the denomination in the Plan view, but you can substitute that in the Properties Page.

• Missing definition of site details in the site DW CS6 Manager

  I have half a dozen web sites built with DW CS6, but suddenly none of them can be edited with the Site Manager.

  For example, the servers in the Site configuration window tab is displayed as below...

  But thanks to ST and bgupta to offer considerable perspectives and the ability to repair this problem.

  With respect to the use of the vacuum cleaner of CS, I ran this unintaller to the point where I felt not sure if the next click would erase all CS6 programs with a single click.

  The uninstall program did not offer me the choice of DW of a sublist of the Suite selection... so I shot of this.

  Perhaps this distinctive choice would have appeared, but I'm sure we've all been burned in the past by the same eagerness to solve a software problem.

• Problem with Port and the definition of Site in DW

  If I am a beginner with ColdFusion. I'm a Flash guy, and this is my first real foray into the side things server. I just got on the headache of installing CF8 on Mac OS 10.5, and I recently met another wall.
  I went with the installation of JRUN/MultiServer. As far as I know, the default port is supposed to be 8300 (although I tried 8500 as well as one host of others). If I go to http://localhost/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm, I see the admin page fine and dandy. Even if I go to http://localhost:8300/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm I get this:

  Then your server has been configured to use the HTTP port 80 standard,.

  Been burned so many times before and have to rebuild all my site definition files in Dreamweaver for thousands of sites that I manage.  I spent the last hour, looking for a solution - what a nightmare.

  HOW SET UP THE CREATIVE CLOUD AUTOMATICALLY BACK UP ALL MY FILES OF DEFINITION OF SITE FOR ALL OF MY SITES?  He will do every day that I must never go through this again?

  Two important things to note:

  • All the parameters of the site (with theexception of user name and password) are synchronized between computers running the same operating system. username and password can not be synchronized.
  • If you enable automatic synchronization, Dreamweaver checks every 30 minutes.

  Because the user name and password are not synchronized, you should always backup your site locally settings. Import and export Dreamweaver site settings.

• Move all Site definitions on new computer

  I'm working on setting up my new Mac Pro. I would spend ALL my definitions of site from my old computer to a shooting in a new. Is this possible? If so, how? I have about 60 Web sites, I rather would not export each on individually (especially since DW CC from my old computer hangs when I try this). Is there a master file somewhere so that I can copy to the new computer?

  You should be able to shift + click or control + click on all the sites under the Site > Manage Sites and choose export all make them.

• Definitions info keep forget FTP site

  I use Dreamweaver CS 5.5-11.5 build 5366 on a Mac - 10.8.4. I have a few dozen sites in my Site Manager. Frequently these days, I have when I go to connect to my server, I get an error. It seems the definition of site has forgotten the FTP username and password, all other parameters are still there.

  I exported all the definitions of my site in the past, ensuring return to top my settings. So I can remove the broken site definition and immediately import it again. This works for some connections, or a restart Dreamweaver, and then the user name and password are forgotten again.

  I guess the preference of definiton of site got corrupted. I found this preference:

  Users > Macbook > library > Application Support > Adobe > common > 11.5 > Sites > Site prefs.

  Except, delete this file does not clear my list of Sites in the files window show Drop Down. Where else could live the definitions?

  I also deleted the

  Users > Macbook > library > Application Support > Adobe > Dreamweaver CS5.5 folder

  and

  Users > Macbook > Library > Preferences > Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 Pref.

  and

  Users > Macbook > Library > Preferences > com.adobe.dreamweaver - 11.5.plist

  Any other suggestions to solve this?

• Site test server - definition

  I created a local folder. I've set up the remote server. In the field of the test server, I just put that were the same that the remote server (machine in production), because so far we have developed directly on the live production server. I know, not a good idea... Before I do the remoteness, a folder on my computer, after you install the version of IIS and CF developer on my C: drive and have my local folder on my D: drive and just put this place to test.
  
  Now, I want to do this to test, then once that everything tests OK, 'put' or 'check-in' of the files on the live server, all within the same definition of site in Dreamweaver... I don't know how to do this. Because when you 'put' or 'check-in' it goes on the remote server live production machine... not the test server.
  
  Can someone clarify this situation as a whole for me? I can't find anything in the literature who speaks really get files from one place or another, other than to define 'do' and 'put' Check-in and check-out.

  The usual configuration here is to have a Web server running locally. Then
  your site definition would have the local site on your hard drive, the
  remote site on the production server and the testing server is in the
  localhost, or on a network accessible for you server.

  Finally, archiving/retrieval works ONLY between local and remote. If you need to
  Use checkin/checkout, then you will need TWO site definitions.

  Definition 1
  Local as usual
  Remote is a staging server somewhere, which you can safely upward - and

• Error message in 'Manage the Sites' in DW8

  Hi all, it may be a trivial question, but cause me unnecessary frustration.
  
  I have a number of sites created on my PC, in the top folder in the "my websites" page, but each in its own site. "Whenever I have change the settings in the 'Manage the Sites' installation, I get an error message ' the root folder you have chosen is inside the folder site"XYZ ". This may cause certain operations, such as the synchronization to work correctly. Still? "Even to delete the folder"XYZ"simply changes the message to another folder. If I ignore the message, everything seems to work well in all cases. (I do not use the ease of the synchronization of the site).

  Hi Murray, I think I found the problem: a couple of the sites are no longer active and I moved the old site files in Windows Explorer without update or delete in Manager of Site of DW. Now that I have deleted the relevant sites of DW, the problem seems to have disappeared. Thanks anyway for your answer.
