  My suggestion is to uninstall this version of Microsoft Office.  A problem with the w a r e z software out there version, is that you can not be sure it was not tampered with and is not by sending all of your keystrokes to a place.  Maybe the information gathered, it is perhaps not.  The other obvious issue is that you don't know how it will react to the patches that might be needed if she will be stable or if she will still continue to work.

  Hi, im trying to install the agent 2.7.6 on an esx server of vmware 3.01, somehow, the agent does not connect to the administration server, I opened the ports on the firewall of esx with esxcfg-firewall - openport port 7443 and 2144 but I still can not the agent to connect to the management server... everything I forget?

  I have a performance problem with VMI enabled on Linux systems and of ESXi, does anyone have any advice for me?

  I have four boxes of ESXi.  One on one processor 1.26 Ghz, with double Hyperthreaded 2.26 Ghz (4 logic), one with dual Hyperthreaded 1.4 Ghz (4 logic) and the other on a single 3.0 Ghz hyperthreading.

  I don't think that any of them have hardware virtualization instructions Intel VI.  I use ESXi 3.5 U3 as host and Gentoo 2.6.26 as the client OS.

  I tried activating VMI on every machine and every time I do, the virtual machine performance is reduced by a factor of 4 to 10 times.  For example:

  Portage: game Dec 18 08:13:29 2008: 43 seconds

  Portage: Fri Dec 19 02:58:21 2008: 167 seconds

  Portage: Fri Dec 19 03:01:57 2008: 193 seconds

  Portage: Sat Dec 20 23:40:14 2008: 54 seconds

  Here are 4 emerges on Gentoo.  One with tickless and VMI disabled (43 seconds), one with active Tickless and VMI in ESXi and Gentoo paravirtual active VMI, one with HZ = 100 and active VMI and the last with tickless and VMI disabled (54 seconds).

  What I find online suggest VMI (when enabled in the kernel and in the .vmx file) should increase the speed or to all the least to stay the same.  I worked on it for a week and google to death on it.  I have consulted with other people running ESXi and they can reproduce the same problem when using Gentoo.  I have not tried Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn or any other OS, but I don't think that would matter much.

• Application Forms (made-to-measure) freezes randomly.  Urgent!

  We have a forms application built in 6i and deployed on Rel1 9i application server.
  Database is Oracle 9i Rel2.
  
  The forms application freezes randomly without error.
  The version of jinitiator is 1.1.8.19.
  
  Forms scroll bars and most of them is painting on canvas ordinary tabs.

  Honestly, I have not used the version 6 years as it was in 2005 desupported. All I can say is that you are trying to test in client/server. This would rule out a problem aside from customer like JRE, browser, etc. It would also exclude a matter of intermediate level. If the problem recurs in client/server, which suggests a problem with the runtime, the datbase, or your application code. For enforcement issues, all you can do at this point is apply the latest available patch series. For database problems, you will first need to determine if there was a problem with the procs of your data or db (as appropriate). Patch the PB would also be an option according to your old version. And then finally, to debug your application code.

  It might be a good time to start thinking about a plan to upgrade, including the operating system. ;)

• DPS update makes the pages of nervousness

  Forgive the technical term, but I'm working on a project with a mixture of smooth scrolling and static, navigable objects vertically. Before the update of my DPS and the content viewer application tools, everything worked fine. But now, several pages of articles seem to be nervous when I drag to move between page views on my iPad 3 (the app was built only for the retina display). It takes a few tries to swipe down to the next page. Curiously, two-page article does not appear to have this problem. I only see it when articles are pages 3 +.

  Any ideas?

  It is a known issue with viewers v22. We need to focus on it with a patch v23.

  Looks like you're missing a couple of jar files in the directory WEB-INF/lib directory OIA?

  Maybe aspectjrt.jar or... aspectjweaver.jar?

  If it's there, maybe permissions or ownership issues that prevents OIA to see files?

  For the purpose of OIA - IOM following jar files need flying me, check a second time you did

• IOM 9 - can I copy an environment (stage-> Prod)

  I was curious, if someone does this or if it can be done and what to look for. I'll put up a scene clean environment, upgrading and patching IOM. Before you begin to migrate in all configs in my development env, I thought to literally copy new own staging env prod... Can I have literally just move the database and records and make it work? I would of course change the xlconfig.xml file to update the host names for a database server and app, but everything else should still work right? dbkeys would be the same and everything?

  Do you mean you want to copy the DB folder instead of install these again Prod. When you install it, it make the entries in the registry so (personally I have not tried it). How will you do that? You are considering for Production, so I'll suggest it will take only a few hours in the installation of DB and other things. Opt for the new facility.

  We have generally export and import XMLs for all connectors or custom work.

• ApEx 4.0 cannot see the collections in the session browser.

  I have an environmental assessment APEX 4.0 Setup on my place of work. I'm going to have is, I can't see one of my collections using the browser session, even if I do the collections exists because the reports based on the collections have given.
  
  I could see the other details of the session as page elements and elements of application but no specimen.
  
  I tested with apex.oracle.com using the same computer and browser (IE 7) and I could see the collections - no problems here.
  
  Evaluation and development of environments sharing the same database server (10g R2) and the same application server Oracle SOA Suite (10.1.3.4.0)
  
  The image files are different and has two different aliases for each of the environment (DEV's) and /i40/ for the EVAL
  
  Development is running Apex 3.2.1
  
  I don't know what other information must be posted to assess this situation, but please let me know.
  
  Any help is appreciated. I tried searching the forum, but it looks like I'm alone with this problem.

  I searched with Jason on our team, and believe it or not, this issue seems to have existed before the APEX 4.0. However, a patch set exception (i.e., single patch) for this bug is available on MetaLink Patch 9855165as: ' BAD RESULTS WHEN watching a SESSION STATE OF DEVELOPER TOOLBAR» This will also be installed in the APEX 4.0.1 patch set.

• The 10G forms on database 11G certification

  I tried to find some information on what are done the minimum patch level of oracle 10G to run it on an 11G database. Maybe someone has had more luck (or skill) to find.

  General rule - support on this kind of issue talking.
  Second general rule - get on the 10.1.2.3 patch together if you can, but 10.1.2.0.2 has been certified with 11g

• Loss of cache entry w / JpaCacheStore + EntryProcessor on redistribution

  I lived similar problem as described by Paul mail"[Partition X does not exist in the PartitionSplittingBackingMap | http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=975737]".» But in my attempt to create a simple testcase to illustrate the problem, I stumbled upon a possible bug with consistency.
  
  Scenario:
  
  -V3.5.2b463 coherence (also tested with v3.5)
  -JpaCacheStore for persistence
  -Entry already exists in the database of entry before starting the server
  -EntryProcessor update the cache entry
  
  1. the first server running, the program responsible for the entry of the database on the first update (cache miss) and implemented to date with EntryProcessor. Subsequent updates have been directly treated with the EntryProcessor (cache hit).
  
  2. the second server launched and ready to serve, but the primary partition which belongs to the cache entry is reassigned from the first server on the second server.
  
  3. the first server attempted to update the cache again entry, but the invoke request on the second server (new owner) [cache.constainsKey () return false!]
  
  4. the second server encountered a cache miss and responsible for the entry of the database to initialize the cache again (but using an outdated DB value due to writeback).
  
  The question preceding disappears if all of the following action is performed:
  
  -EntryProcessor logic is replaced by simple cache.get () /put)
  -l' entry in the database is purged until the server starts (SHAVED)
  -the JpaCacheStore is replaced by a basic read/write card

  I spoke with one of our engineers, tonight, and he tied the behavior you describe against an issue that is currently addressed either as part of the next 3.5 patch. I'll get the tracking number for the question tomorrow.

  The reason why I suggested to try the option is that it uses the support by partition plan to act as the index of the partition key and avoids so the potential for the system to have its index get out of sync with the actual data, which (from your description) was the only thing I could identify as a possible cause of the problem.

  It will use more resources (objects more because there are more cards support); That's the downside.

  There are also benefits, but they will be specific to the type of backup plan used and the constraints of the specific environment / system you operate in. For example, if the storage card is low concurrency, the then have one per partition significantly improve concurrency.
