No sound after SP1 update

Title pretty much says it all, everyone knows something similar?

In addition, Windows Media Player includes all my music files as if they were corrupt, but they we fine before the update.

Got it to work by uninstalling all devices of sounds by devices and restart Manager, should have tried first. Now, to attempt to reinstall SP1...

  • Satellite R630 - problems of Driver on Win 7 64 bit after SP1 update

That need your help here guys.

My R - 630 Satellite is less than a year, under a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit. For awhile, I've known BSOD, which I traced him through the observer of events here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd337789 (WS.10) .aspx

This has not led me far enough.
Finally, I have found through other forums that the SP1 update would solve some of the annoying problems BSOD and I started the download and upgrade. However, when the computer reboots, while my laptop seems to have been healed (so far) of the BSOD, I have problems with drivers for:

    -Sound card
    -USB controllers
    -DVD player
    -Webcam
    -Bus enumerators

I downloaded the indicated Win 7-64 bit drivers in each case. I tried to install the first. Nothing happened. I uninstalled the existing and installed new drivers. Nothing happened again.

I thought I should do things in the right order.
    So I tried to install
    (1) the Chip Set Utility (drivers?) first, then
    (2) the USB drivers
    (3) sound card drivers etc.

    Nothing happens not always.

I'm running out of ideas here.

PS while other drivers run very well when I extracted the .zip format, the sound card driver, refused to run, even if the box "run command" has been checked when executing the .msi file.
I've pulled into a folder and ran it manually.

    Still did not help.

    Hello

What happens if you set the Windows operating system to the point before the SP1 has been installed?
    That you get the BSOD?

    I would recommend this doing.
Use the Windows option that allows you to activate the operating system at the point of time at the beginning.
Then, test the functionality of the OS.

If everything works correctly, update the Win 7 64 bit with SP1.
You must use the automatic update of Windows 7.

Twenty minutes earlier on 11/08/2011 my self out of the windows updated. After the update has been installed and restarted my computer, my logitech g35 headset is not working properly. If I turn them off in the control panel and reactivate as default device, I get 1-3 seconds of the sound before they be cut again. Hi Hexter23,

    3. are you able to hear the music / sound through normal speakers?

  • spectrum 360: no sound after windows update

    Hello

As a result of an update to windows 10 for the anniversary edition, I had problems with the sound.

It says the audio device not detected.  I uninstalled the audio drivers and reinstalled them and it will work, but after restarting the computer, it gives the same error.  Sometimes a reboot it will work again, otherwise have to reinstall again.

I couldn't run constantly, so I restored windows on the previous generation and it works well again.

Anyone had this problem or could fix?

    Thank you

    Thank you.

I ended up doing something like that.  I uninstalled the program conexant himself and installed an older driver (9.0.57.0), and so far it has worked.  I got the driver from the hp support page.

The new driver worked until a reboot, then had to be reinstalled again.

    I thank once again.

  • No sound after an update from Toshiba

I followed the instructions of what looked like the official update from Toshiba to uninstall something I don't remember exactly what, but I was directed to the Panel, sysytems and something to do with video, etc, and now I have no sound. System says no audion output device is installed.

I must say from my experience, this time with a Toshiba Satellite is less satisfactory, always goes into hibernation and is difficult to restart, even after updating the BIOS suggested!

    Hello Wan

And what model of laptop you have exactly?

I'm sorry, but how understanding your problem anyway, he can't remember what you did. Who knows what you do with your laptop. All other problems can be caused by your experiences and to do something to change the configuration of the operating system.

In this case I recommend a radical, but for you, the best solution: back up all your data and install the OS by using recovery media delivered. I'm sure with the factory settings everything works well again.

  • Tecra 9100 - loss of sound after Windows Update.

I just got my hands on a 9100 second hand and have been re - install XP Pro. I was going well and had everything except the card SD not working after downloading all the drivers concerned off Toshiba site.

Micorsofts update the site decided to download new drivers for the card his Yamaha, and now it says NO device.

I reinstalled the drivers from the toshiba site, but despite everything I do, it still shows no device.

Ive tried reinstalling the software Synth as well, but having said that I need to run the re-installation of synth program. But there is no directory on the drive for what Yamaha and no entry in the Add/Remove for yamaha synth window or in the start menu.

I'm at a loss where to go then, short from once again and re-installing the OS to the top, and it's a good day's work.

Is a cleanup utility exists then I can just redo the part of sound card?

    Hello

It seems that there is a problem with his Yamaha card driver after the installation of the Microsoft Windows XP SP2.

Seems that you need to update the audio driver of Yamaha!

  • Satellite P100-442 - sound after Vista update problem

    Vista Home Premium operating system.

Since "Vista Update" installed a pilot of its new "Conexant high definition SmartAudio HD2", the sound does not work.
It does that after I do a "ch for devices modified" via "Device Manager".
But I do whenever I have start the laptop.
Should I first remove this driver (and how?) and to install the driver on the Toshiba site?

Try to restore to an earlier time using System Restore option.

If everything works again DO NOT install updates for ALL pilot rating. Just install update marked as important. All others (optional) update SHOULD NOT be installed at all.

  • NO SOUND AFTER WINDOWS UPDATE 8

    Hello

Please help me, lost after installing important updates for Windows Mobile 8, all audio sounds. I don't know what happened. Bearly need an audio. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Download the installer from IDT Audio relevant on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

IDT HD Audio Installer - Windows 8.1

IDT HD Audio Installer - Windows 8

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When done, shut down the laptop by holding down the key SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  Left click "Speakers/HP" once to highlight and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

    Kind regards

  • No sound after Windows updates - don't Please Help!

I just finished a full restore my system back to factory settings because I had no noise whatsoever.  After doing this, I had sound for a while, until some update has been installed and now I have not YET healthy.  It's extremely frustrating!  Given that the sound worked until one of the many updates has been installed, this leads me to believe that the update is the cause of the problem.  When I click on the sound tab, it shows that everything is working ok.  I tried everything I can think of to remedy to this problem.  I uninstalled, reinstalled and updated the driver for the sound.  It does not work.  I tried to use the restoration of the system to an earlier time and that doesn't work anymore (because there was not a lot of restore points because I had to complete my system restore.)  I don't know what to do to solve this problem.  I'd do another complete restore of my system, but I'm afraid that the updates will cause the same issue.  I'd appreciate any help!

  • No Audio output device is installed - no sound after auto update yesterday

After an automated update yesterday, my sound no longer works on my Dell XPS 15.  There is a red "X" on the "speaker" icon.  When I was looking for solution last night, I tried a lot of things and then saw a comment on a possible error in the download, but now I can not find this comment.  If there is an error in the update, will there be a fix soon?  I would use my sound.  Thank you!

    Hello

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: Audio, graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

  • Qosmio F30-111: no sound after the update of the 3.40 BIOS & Vista installation

    Hello!

I have a Qosmio F30-111, originally with Windows MCE and all devices works fine, but I made an update of firmware BIOS to 3.40 (before was a version 1.x).

Later, I installed Windows Vista Ultimate and all devices has been recognized very well (with Toshiba Vista drivers), but the sound was not working!
    The situation was:
    -The sound device has been recognized;
    -The MIC works (but I can't hear it);
    -The speakers do not work!<- the="" real="">

Now I installed the recovery CD and I'm new to Windows MCE, but noise have the same problem... is recognized, but the speakers do not work.
I have no idea what to do... I don't know if it is possible to restore the firmware (I think that was the problem).

Don't forget: the audio device works, the works of Media Player, but I can't hear the sound (Yes, the volume is high and is not dumb)

    Sorry for my bad English,
    Thank you very much!

    Murilo

    Hello Md2

You can hear the noise if you plug headphones into the audio?

If there is his helmet and then the audio device works well.

If not, then disconnect all devices external usb and start a clean installation of vista (not upgrade, but booting from the vista cd)

don't forget to put the RAID driver on cd or diskette or usb flash key before doing the clean install of vista.
