Issue of Folio Preview

Hello

I am building a showcase of DPS and I would like to now if it is possible to recover several preview images.

In fact:

-I can go get correctly the image of coverage (via this.folio.getPreviewImage)

-Preview of the works of mode (you can download folios paid for an excerpt)

... but I want to put a bunch of stand images associated with this folio to create an itunes-like carousel in the preview dialog box view.

I guess we can define these in iTunes (associated with a ProductID iTunes) preview images, but how we can look in the API from ADOBE DPS?

Thank you!

We don't have a way through the API to allow you to thumbnails preview anything else than the downloaded with the folio cover image. If you want to shoot in other preview images, you will need to host them on your own site and shoot away.

  • Overview of the article is perfect, Folio preview is blurry when using States of objects

    Hello world

I've created a few articles in the code. some of them contain States of objects.

When I saw just the article, everything seems fine.

But when the entire folio previewing all articles with States of the object are blurred. If the States of the object to be crispy, but the rest of the article is unclear.

I use Adobe content viewer on Windows.

    Thank you for your support.

When I watch it with ACV on IPAD, it seems good.

  • Urgent: File > preview Folio opens a panel of 'Folio Preview"empty (ID CS 5.5)

    Hello!

I've just updated the Folio Builder Panel and the command file > preview Folio does not send the document to the viewer of content as usual, but opens a new group called Folio overview..., which remains empty.

I can get an overview of the documents as usual using the button preview at the bottom of the Billboard creator, but not using the menu command. There is a check mark next to the command of Folio Preview on the file menu when the Panel remains open. (Do some research on this forum, there seemed to be a similar problem last October, but I would have thought that it should be resolved now.)

I encounter this problem on both my PC running Windows 7 and my MacBook Pro on Mac OS. (Two laptops running the Norwegian version of the repective OS.)

I can work around the problem by using the control panel overlay creator, but if anyone has an explanation or a solution I would be very grateful. I start a two day course of teaching DPS tomorrow, so it's quite urgent.

    Best regards

    Tom

PS. I will try to download a page soon to clarify the situation.

Yes, it is a known problem in CS5 and 5.5. You can call overview of folio to Folio Builder Panel instead, and it works perfectly. See http://forums.adobe.com/message/4399358#4399358 for my message to this topic.

  • Folio Preview error with the Vertical Articles

I'm trying to build a basic folio.

I get an error noticed when I try to preview it on an iPad.

After several sessions of trials and errors, I created a new brand folio, allegedly with guidance a portrait and landscape.

If I insert a section of landscape, it works as expected.

If I load a portrait article it throws the preview error dreaded.

    Here are the details:

    • InDesign CS6 (8.0.1)
    • Mac OSX (10.8.5)
    • Folio dual orientation, containing:
    • A single, single article page (standard 1024 x 768, in vertical)

I have rebuilt the folio as the article page probably 6 times in the last three days trying to isolate this problem.

    Apparently, Miss me something.

    Someone at - it recommendations?

    Layout.pngFailure.png

If you preview of Folio Builder Panel you * must * have a portrait and a landscape of article of the folio version when you have selected the double direction otherwise, you will get this error. If you preview the Folio overlays Panel, it will be just a glimpse of the open document and everything that is on your folio is not serious.

After typing this... don't do a folio dual orientation. It doubles your time of design, almost double the size of your folio and does not provide any benefit to your reader. To do this, choose a direction and design.

  • Folio preview don't work

The preview of my folio works on iPad when I submit to it by USB cable. The content on my mac Viewer also works. When I submit the online folio presentation stops with this error:

    mistake.jpg

When I click on "try again" it seems that to work, little article on the iPad is not the latest version. I build a new, fresh folio on my drive local and saves all the new documents, to solve the problem - but it's the same mistake. Things that are made in the articles and I can see in the Viewer by cable are not inside the folio by submission online. Some items are now downloaded, but this isn't the latest version. Any suggestions?

    Thank you for the Germany

    Nicole

http://status.adobedps.com/ has an update saying: we had some problems with the download of the day to the next. Try again today, and it should work.

  • Folio preview does not?

I use InDesign CS5.5 with the last updated with the last Folio Builder Tools v20. Trying to get an overview of the articles using file > preview of Folio to Folio overview Panel opens and is empty. With the help of the preview of the Overlay creator I have Adobe content viewer for opening and there is an overview. Is this a bug or am I missing something. Never had this problem before.

Yes, it is a known problem in CS5 and 5.5. See http://forums.adobe.com/message/4399358#4399358 for more details. You can call the Folio Builder Panel preview and it works perfectly.

  • First issue of rendering preview

When you 'rendered in out' and see a preview of the project, I noticed that if you don't have enough ram, it written on your hard drive. I was curious if it was deleted automatically, or if someone could direct me to the default location that rander is registered. Thank you.

It is written on the HARD disk and the path to the file can be found under settings project file:

Please note that mine is not the default.

  • Is it possible to publish a folio Preview

We have professional DPS and have our ready-made app with folios publish correctly.  We wanted to know is possible to publish an excerpt of the slips for each paid public portfolio so that the user can get an overview of a few pages?  If so, how can I do this?

  • Simple issue of Folio App pricing

I am a member of CC/Subscriber. I know that I can create apps Folio single all I want, but...

    (1) should I pay $395 per app in order to have the applications available on the Apple App Store?

    (2) am I able to use my own subscription CC to create applications unique Folio for my clients, or should they buy their own editing simple plan?

    1. as long as you have a full account of CC and not a single application, simple editing applications are included. There is no additional cost Adobe.

    2. Yes, but I highly recommend they have their own Apple Developer account.

  • May 2, requires a mandatory update to the issue of folio builder Panel

This update requires it an another update for the Adobe Content Viewer on iPAD and will be approved Apple even once?

No, if anything you update your folio builder Panel (and not the producer folio tools). Since the announcement of John:

"Note: users are not required to update their tools of producer Folio with this version, just the Panel Builder of Folio." The Panel is backward compatible with earlier versions of the producer tools. »

If you choose to install new tools producer so then Yes, you will need to use a new Adobe Content Player that is currently under review with Apple.

  • After Effects CS5.5 - Performance very serious issues w/RAM Preview

My system: Windows 7 Professional, two-processor Intel Xeon X 5650, 12 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800.

Problem: RAM Preview in CS5.5 give me less than 2 fps (Yes - two images per second). It's even with the simplest compositions. I created a project of 1080 p 23.976 with two solid layers simple and retouching position and scale values to one of them without other effects to be switched on. RAM Preview gives me 1.8 fps.

I still have AE CS5 installed and it gives me strong and predictable results with RAM Preview. When I create a similar test inside the CS5 project, it creates the RAM Preview almost instantly and displays good real-time (23.976 fps).

My settings for CS5 and CS5.5 are similar (and I tried many variations in my attempt to solve this problem).

    PREVIEWS

Fast previews: Adaptive resolution limit 1/4

Compatible OpenGL and two sub-options for active OpenGL.

    MEMORY and MULTIPROCESSING

Reserved for other applications of RAM: 4 GB

I tried different settings for multiprocessing, which translates the same less-than-2 fps previews RAM. Currently I have MP'ing activated with allocation of 1.5 GB per background CPU and real processor used is 4. Yet once, no matter what I set it to, I have the same problem of performance.

On my screen magnification ratio setting, I use 25% and my Resolution/Down sample is on the quarter. In my preview, I tried setting my default resolution to "Auto" to "Quarter" without any difference.

In short: on the same machine, RAM of AE CS5.5 preview offers terrible performance. Preview RAM CS5 offers excellent performance.

Well, I got my answer and all is well in the world.

After uninstalling all AJA (and even turn off my Kona card), I lived even horrible RAM previews. Then I Dove which was actually installed on my PC and here I found entries that refer to something as "Matrox Utils". I had not installed anything to do with Matrox. I'm not a big fan of the MXO2, but we have a few floating around the office and after asking around, I found my enemy - one of my co-workers used my machine when I was last week and it has installed and used the MXO2.

So now I guess I have to install my AJA stuff and everything is good. Thanks a lot Szalam and Todd (and everyone else) for pointing me in the right direction!

  • Link banner showcase custom tab or preview folio overlay?

I used the setup of "Custom tabbed view" in the Configurator DPS to create a custom showcase. I've been customize files still manually and I'm looking for some suggestions on creating manual links in the html code to the different elements within the app - more precisely:

    1. What method should be used to create a link to the image of the banner to target one of the tabs? or to target one of the tabs AND start a folio download this tab?

    2. I already was able to target download a folio of an image banner directly, using the method of "com.xxxx .yyy://v1/folio/article". What method could be used to open rather the superposition of the folio preview (for example in the image below)?
      overlay-image.jpg

any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    # 1, you can use goto: / / as the URL to access a specific tab. See Hyperlink overlays and button for more details.

    # 2, there is not a way to trigger from a custom window. When you build a custom storefront, you are responsible to provide the user interface, including any preview window you might want to show.

  • Work in the Preview NOT folio

Hi - I am running Windows 7 64-bit and adobe could services for all required adobe applications.

InDesign is installed and "Folio Preview" does not work. I tried the 'Preview', 'Preview desktop' "Overlays of Folio" and 'Folio Preview' in the 'File' menu, but get the same result. I looked for the content viewer and noticed that it only ins not installed. Help, please!

Here is my answer to a similar question on another thread:

Are you on Windows or a Mac? I'm going to assume Mac for now:

    (1) check and make sure that the Adobe Content Viewer is in your Applications folder. Otherwise, run it, then try the preview again.

    (2) when it is installed but still works overview not try to fix up the Association of file type for .folio. See http://forums.adobe.com/message/4617478.

    (3) if it is not installed, try install in/Library/Application Support / Adobe / installers / AdobeDigitalPublishingCS6 / ContentViewer / Adob eContentViewer.air

If you are on Windows the installation in step 3 location is "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common ontentViewer.air".

  • Rebuild the folio for local development vs development based on a cloud

Now that the issue of the "Preview on the device works not not for iOS devices" is behind us, how to make my folio available locally or in the cloud?  Can I import all the 100 + articles on the cloud and re-create a version local folio?  Or is there a better approach?

    Tidbit:

Before the show, I built my folio locally and when issues occurred, I'm done uploading to the cloud for further development as an interim solution.  Work on the cloud is not practical, because it consumes the use of unnecessary data, especially for people with a monthly data plan capped with the internet service provider.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think that what you are really asking is if you can take an online folio and capture one offline. The answer is no. You have to re-create the folio as a folio in offline mode. Once it is moved to the cloud there.
