Issue of ODI Interface - selection of LKM

Hello

I'm using ODI 11 g to retrieve the data and metadata of Essbase application to the planning application. The Hyperion Essbase Data SQL LKM is used in one of the streams of the interface.

The MDX query is used to retrieve the metadata and the data. Please could you let me know how to change the Extraction_Query_Type to MDXQuery in the selection of LKM. I tried to update manually. But it does not evolve.

Thank you

You type in manually. Just make sure that you press the enter/return key after you have changed the value or the change is not persistent

First update of the planning to essbase is slightest mistake out because it seems you may have locked contour.
Also check the error log contained the revenge to see if there is no rejection.

You use incremental IKM wherever you have not defined any function key ODI to perform the UPDATE operation.

  • Halo to the XML loading issue in ODI 10.1.3.5

    Hi gurus,

I am creating the Oracle table XML file.
Up to now, made the following

    1. in the topology, to connect to Oracle and XML technologies. Has also created the database server. For XML, validated successfully the XSD.
    2. in the reverse designer engineered XML elements in the table. Reverse engineering as well done to Oracle.
    3. in XML, 1 table got created its name as MASTER_XTEL (this is my root element). He followed columns
    MASTER_XTELPK, SNPSFILENAME, SNPSFILEPATH and SNPSLOADDATE.

Developed an ODI interface to fill this area of transit of .with MASTER_XTEL pointing to an existing oracle schema.
    Configuration:
    MASTER_XTELPK - > 0 (executed on STG)
SNPSFILENAME-> 1 column in a table holding file (run on CBC) name Oracle
SNPSFILEPATH - > 1 column to an Oracle table taking into the path of the file (run on CBC)
    SNPSLOADDATE-> SYSDATE (run on STG)

    IKM: Add SQL to SQL

Eexecution is a success, and exploiting, I see 1 inserted obtained record (my source of oracle table only has 1 row)
    So far so good.

Now when I try to see this MASTER_XTEL inserted record by right click on it and view the data, it shows all the data. What I am doing wrong?

If I want to create an XML file with
    CREATE XMLFILE < Filename > SCHEMA of THE < schema_name >

    I am getting following error:

0: null: java.sql.SQLException: could not save the file C:/TEST_XML because a class java.sql.SQLException occurred and said: java.sql.SQLException: java.sql.SQLException: no keys found on table MASTER_XTEL

Which I think is somehow related to the issue of data no. I don't know if.

Can someone help me with this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

  • Run ODI Interfaces of Oracle database

    Hi all

Can we run the ODI interfaces of Oracle database even we execute mappings OWB database by creating a Proc Storeed and passing the name of mapping for execution.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Ankit

Can we run the ODI interfaces of Oracle database even we execute mappings OWB database by creating a Proc Storeed and passing the name of mapping for execution.

There is a fundamental difference between generated code OWB and ODI code generated.
OWB especially generates control loaded package files or sql oracle wchich can easily be called from a Proc Storeed.

But in the case of ODI, the final product is XML scenario file IE. All information related to the interface/procedure/package etc are scattered through various repository table and it is very difficult to write a Proc Storeed and connect inter between these tables.

ODI scenario can be called from the rinse command prompt supplied ODI startscen.bat/sh utility
    http://gerardnico.com/doc/ODI/Webhelp/en/UserManual/agent/scenario_os.htm

Now, you can also run a script shell to a PL/SQL procedure
    http://www.DBA-Oracle.com/t_execute_shell_script_plsql_procedure.htm

So considering the above 2 pints, you can run the ODI iscenario of Oracle database, but it will be different from the way in which you are mapping OWB execution.

    Thank you

  • Getting ORA-22835: buffer too small for to CHAR CLOB or BLOB to RAW conversion in my ODI interface

    Hi all

I am creating an interface ODI as explained below,

I table A column 'Comments' and one other table with column B "No Comment." I create a view as shown below and use it as a source for my interface.

    SELECT * FROM WC_EQM_CSAP_FS_TMP WHERE to_char (QUESTION_COMMENT) IN (SELECT NO_COMMENTS FROM WC_EQM_NO_COMMENTS_LIST).

But my interface fails with the error below

ORA-22835: buffer too small for to CHAR CLOB or BLOB to RAW conversion (real: 4108, maximum: 4000)

22835 00000 - "too small buffer tank CLOB or BLOB to RAW conversion (actual: %s, maximum: %s)) '

    * Cause: an attempt was made to convert CLOB to CHAR or BLOB to RAW, where

LOB size was larger than the buffer for CHAR and RAW limit types.

Note that the widths are reported in characters if characters length isadds are in effect for the column, other widths are

    in bytes.

Here QUESTION_COMMENT is of type CLOB data. NO_COMMENTS is also CLOB data type. The maximum length of the data of QUESTION_COMMENT is also 11710

Please tell us how to solve.

    Thank you

    Dany

IMHO, it is not good to compare CLOB, can be that it is possible to use the primary key for the comments

Is it QUESTION_COMMENT and NO_COMMENTS a PRIMARY INDEX,

    may be is the best solution to create vacabulary with comments (if it does not exist) and then compare it by id;

You can simply use the left join and check for null in a CASE statement

Try this, but I don't know... as I said before I have no Oracle DB

    SELECT INTEGRATION_ID, DATASOURCE_NUM_ID, QUESTIONNAIRE_ID, QUESTION_ID,

    CLIENT_ID, SITE_ID, CLIENT_REP, COMMITMENT, ENGAGEMENT_TYPE, TOP_CLIENT_FLG,

    INITIAL_PLANNED_DT, REVISED_PLANNED_DT, INTERVIEW_DT, RECEIVED_DT, QUESTION_SCORE,

    (

    CASE WHEN EXISTS (SOME T2.NO_COMMENTS OF WC_EQM_NO_COMMENTS_LIST T2 WHERE DBMS_LOB.COMPARE (TMP.) (QUESTION_COMMENT, T2.NO_COMMENTS) = 0)

    THEN NULL

    OF OTHER QUESTION_COMMENT

    END QUESTION_COMMENT),

    (CASE WHEN QUESTION_SCORE<=5 then="" 1="" else="" 0="" end)="">

    0 AS QWOCOMMENTS,

    CREATED_ON_DT, CHANGED_ON_DT OF WC_EQM_CSAP_FS_TMP as TMP

P.S. does not use TO_CHAR (LOB) there are possible error

  • Complex global options in ODI interface

I have one source and I need a global table of a target.
I've implemented the following example query:

    SELECT
    ATRIBUTE1,
    ATRIBUTE2,
    ATRIBUTE3,
    SUM (ATRIBUTE4),
    SUM (ATRIBUTE5),
    AVG (SUM(ATRIBUTE4+ATRIBUTE5)/ATRIBUTE6),
    ...
    OF TABLE_AGG
    GROUP BY SUBSTR (ATRIBUTE1, 0, 6), ATRIBUTE2, ATRIBUTE3

¿Options to implement this query or similar please?

    Thank you

Have you looked at this thread?

How to use GROUP BY in ODI

Just add the SUM operator to the target fields required in your interface ODI and the GROUP BY clause is automatically added by ODI. I notice that you have a group of field that does not exist in your selection list - was it deliberate?

  • Recorded not reflecting is not in the new Interface Options of LKM

I modified my LKM option to truncate my target table. When I create a new interface, the LKM is selected automatically, but the options selected are not what I had saved. How can I 'really' change my option so that whenever I create a new interface, I didn't pass the option truncate table a NO to a YES?

    Thank you
    Dinesh.

    Hi Dinesh,

    Just to confirm...

If you have changed the default value in the tab 'options' window KM; This is not going to work.

You must change this to IKM. Please go to your project---> knowledge Modules---> expand IKM SQL Append (by clicking on the icon "+")---> Double click on the option TRUNCATE it and set its value to YES.

    Thank you

added this variable in the package before UI, and when I run the package
what I am able to see in the operator's

    Baji,

It's OK because the variables are not shown, they are to be replaced in run time...

then the code to run is good, even if you don't see it.

Seems once again, some class/jar files are missing.  But I have really no idea this time how to fix it.  In addition, since it is ok with the local agent (no) but fail with specific agent, I think that it is not the problem of the interface, but the problem of the agent (configuration?).  Can someone give me some advice on how to fix it?  Any suggestion is welcome.  Thank you.

Note: it is on the Windows platform

By checking the MOS 1683307.1 Note, I have included the C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\misc\11.1.2.0 & C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\CSS\11.1.2.0\lib in the extra classpath and the agent works fine now.  THX.

  • ODI 12 - problem with LKM SQL for Oracle

    Hi again,

Three days ago, that I asked about the problem with the data types of data warehouses in models that were missing. After you apply the ideas suggested by Rita (thank you very much ) I got from their work.

But after that, we came across a new problem. When you run a mapping (Oracle for Oracle databases), it failed on the second stage - ' "work table create. "When we checked the generated code was something like this: '(" CREATE TABLE < work_table_name >). None of the names of columns or data types have been described in parentheses and as expected, the ODI execution error was "invalid identifier". It seems that API odiRef.getColList(params)%> does not work. I tried loading using LKM Oracle Oracle (DB LINK) but once again the columns are missing in the generated script.

I have to mention the master and work repositories are different databases from Oracle and ODI Agent is not installed because of some problems.

We are still beginners of ODI and would appreciate any help from more experienced guy (or other beginners).

    Thank you in advance.

Just by chance, we found the soluton today!

The reason of missing generated code was that the description of the types of data was not entirely cofigured.

We found that the fields "create table syntax" and "'syntax of data accessible in writing' in each type of data in the topology definition were empty." After filling them, the generation of the script is running properly.

Before that we had problems with missing data types in models and we realized the reverse engineering of the types of data, but obviously it is insufficient.

Thanks to all those who participated in the discussion and tried to help us!

  • fast edition columns of the ODI interfaces

    Hello

I'm a little confused about the purpose of column run on in the Edit tab fast odi.   I know you can give expression.  but not able to understand all the features.  can anyone help

    Hello

you mean the tab "Execute on?

He explains where the processing must be carried out on? as if on Source/target or the staging area?

If both the Source and target are the database then you can choose the Source or the target according to the flexibility

(if your join is on stage then to keep the column staging... If there is such mo join then keep it on source)

If the Source is the file and the id target DB, then you select staging

    Kind regards

  • ODI Interface Refresh

    Hello

I had an existing interface in ODI. I added a new columnto the target data source & it is reversed in ODI, it is used in one of my existing interface. When I go to interface how

I can update the target data source so that I am able to map my new column to the source without re-creating the mapping of all the new?

    Thank you.

Drag the data on the existing store and adds the new column, and then put in your mapping for this column, all the other mapping should stay the same

    See you soon

  • ODI INTERFACE

    Hi friends,

My Source: Views created in the Oracle database
    Target: Oracle Tables.

I created interface to move data from the source (view) to the target (table). When I run the interface execution successfully.
But when I moved this interface to the package, the interface run successfully but the data is not loaded (it shows load data - 0 records, insert data - 0 records)
I see that my source taking 13secs to load the data (in database using TOAD).

I think that at the time where my source in the oracle database is loading data. ODI run data LOAD and fill 0 command records.

How to overcome this problem? Please, guide me friends.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    You can use the following

    OdiWaitForData - LSCHEMA = - TABLE_NAME = TEST %-OBJECT_TYPE = V - TIMEOUT = 1200

    Thank you
