  You use incremental IKM wherever you have not defined any function key ODI to perform the UPDATE operation.
  So it fails to stage flag updates lines.

  Mark the key based on which you do update operation.
  If no update is needed then go command Append IKM

• planning sparse dimension update via the ODI interface does not

  I'm trying to update planning spare dimension (Department) by changing the property of storage of data from' never' to 'Store' through the ODI interface.
  
  Even if the ODI interface for this update runs successfully without reported errors in the data storage property 'Operator' is still showing as "Never share" in planning and Essbase (and yes I select the option "Refresh database" of IKM = Yes (IKM SQL for Hyperion Planning))

  First update of the planning to essbase is slightest mistake out because it seems you may have locked contour.
  Also check the error log contained the revenge to see if there is no rejection.

  Can we run the ODI interfaces of Oracle database even we execute mappings OWB database by creating a Proc Storeed and passing the name of mapping for execution.

  Can we run the ODI interfaces of Oracle database even we execute mappings OWB database by creating a Proc Storeed and passing the name of mapping for execution.

  There is a fundamental difference between generated code OWB and ODI code generated.
  OWB especially generates control loaded package files or sql oracle wchich can easily be called from a Proc Storeed.

  But in the case of ODI, the final product is XML scenario file IE. All information related to the interface/procedure/package etc are scattered through various repository table and it is very difficult to write a Proc Storeed and connect inter between these tables.

  ODI scenario can be called from the rinse command prompt supplied ODI startscen.bat/sh utility

  Now, you can also run a script shell to a PL/SQL procedure

  You just plug in software AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe, but this software is not installed directly, you just launch this software with cmd promt.

  After your create flat file as a source file, this separate by commas flat file or a space, a tab that you want, and take a sheet excel and create the line of the column according to your source, and just define name and save it in your home directory

  odbc type in run promt and open the dsn and add micrsoft excellent pilot and select the workplace, at the moment it displays read only option, do not check this option, if you forget the ReadOnly option, select or not option if he doesn't choose the option you will get the error of update query, so do not select read only option in the selection of work.

• ODI interface failed when you use the specific agent but very well with Local (agentless)

  I just upgraded my 10.1.3.5 at 11.1.1.7 ODI and has encountered some problems.  When I run one of the interface with the 'Local (agentless)' (via ODI studio Designer in which the ODI software is installed, say Server A), it can complete successfully without error.  But if I run the same interface with specific agent (also via ODI studio Designer in Server A), it will fail.  In fact this specific agent I is also located in Server A.  The error message is as below:

  Since seems can't find the json.jar file (actually it away under % ODI_HOME %), I tried to include the middleware library path (C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\misc\11.1.2.0), which has the json.jar in the ODI_ADDITIONAL_CLASSPATH in the file odiparams.bat in the folder and restart the agent.  Then the error message is modified as below:

• Running in parallel to the interfaces

  Hello. In the package of the ODI, I can locate my interfaces and join each two of them in two lines: 'ok' (successful) and "ko" (unsuccessful). So I get a sequential execution of these interfaces. How can I make ODI run in parallel?

  To do this, create a scenario for each of the interfaces (right button of the mouse on the interface, generate scenario) and drag the scenario on the package, and not the interface. This will give you a script to execute tool, which you set to execute asynchronously. run each of the interfaces and then use an OdiWaitForChildSession tool to wait for the complketion of the child sessions. If only some of the tasks that you run asynchronously are on the critical path, you can use tags when you start the executions and the tool of waiting. For those who are on the critical path, give a keyword CP. The tool to wait, wait with the key word CP.

• Launch the operator of TestStand, LabVIEW Interface via ActiveX

  I create a simple VI in which I select a product in a list number and press Go. The VI is used to ensure that the most recent sequence file is open and is not inteneded to replace the OI, simply start with a single click.

  I don't know that I am takign the right approach at all, that I know very little about ActiveX, but am trying to learn! When I run the VI, I am prompted to select a file sequence and connection, and that's all. TestStand windows never appears. It's just a setting that is incorrect, or will the approach I take work, as I am access API instead of just opeing the application?

  I removed all the extra features (dropdown list, the configuration file, etc.) from the code included as it works very well.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  What you do are from TestStand without the interface, and then you set the sequence to use.  I think that there is another necessary step indicating the sequence to start really and not only the application.

  It looks like no this is what you want to do, because the intention is that you can then use these tools ActiveX to create sequence files, or run them, without running the sequence editor which is what you normally see when you run TestStand.

  I've never tried, but you can look at this article on the launch of sequence files from the command line which allows to LabVIEW.

  I am creating an interface ODI as explained below,

  I table A column 'Comments' and one other table with column B "No Comment." I create a view as shown below and use it as a source for my interface.

  But my interface fails with the error below

  ORA-22835: buffer too small for to CHAR CLOB or BLOB to RAW conversion (real: 4108, maximum: 4000)

  * Cause: an attempt was made to convert CLOB to CHAR or BLOB to RAW, where

  LOB size was larger than the buffer for CHAR and RAW limit types.

  Note that the widths are reported in characters if characters length isadds are in effect for the column, other widths are

  in bytes.

  Here QUESTION_COMMENT is of type CLOB data. NO_COMMENTS is also CLOB data type. The maximum length of the data of QUESTION_COMMENT is also 11710

  Please tell us how to solve.

  IMHO, it is not good to compare CLOB, can be that it is possible to use the primary key for the comments

  I'm using ODI 11 g to retrieve the data and metadata of Essbase application to the planning application. The Hyperion Essbase Data SQL LKM is used in one of the streams of the interface.

  The MDX query is used to retrieve the metadata and the data. Please could you let me know how to change the Extraction_Query_Type to MDXQuery in the selection of LKM. I tried to update manually. But it does not evolve.

• How to run multiple parallel sql scripts?

  I try to execute multiple sql scripts parallel to the short run of the process via sqlplus. Are there opportunities to do? LINUX ORACLE 5. XX

  The '&' causes the script1.sh to run in the background so that the command prompt is returned immediately.  This means that sql2.sh can start immediately and at the same time as sql1.sh.  It doesn't have to wait for sql1.sh.   This assumes that there are no dependencies between scripts!  This meets your need to run scripts in parallel.

  The nohup untie your shell script.  So, even if you disconnect, the script continues to run.  Without the nohup, if you were to close your session before the end of the scripts running, they would get fired.

  I am able to create individual objects of ODI as 'Projects', 'Models', 'Interfaces' and 'Packages' by using the 'Groovy' editor that comes with ODI 11 g.

  How to use GROUP BY in ODI

  Just add the SUM operator to the target fields required in your interface ODI and the GROUP BY clause is automatically added by ODI. I notice that you have a group of field that does not exist in your selection list - was it deliberate?
