Issue of Windows mail

Windows mail by using the "move to folder" feature to move messages from the mailbox to a different folder the message disappears.  Also, when using the 'copy to folder' function to move messages from the mailbox to a different folder, the message does not copy.

I downloaded windows live mail to see if I could use it instead, and he's done the same thing. I did system restore to the day before I started to have problems, but that no longer works.

This problem is due to a recent update of OneCare. To resolve this issue in Windows Mail: click on tools, Options, security, digital IDs. On the personal tab, you will see a digital ID. Select it and click Remove.
Restart Windows Mail and try to send.

I, under Windows Mail, ALL in sync, but still sometimes Windows Mail works for accounts and/or one or the other account.

I hope someone can shed some light on this problem.

    Thank you.

There are important issues with Windows Mail and Norton (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) that would be so my initial guess on the problem.

But if the Hughes technical support said you that "there are too many users on the Internet" as an excuse for the problem, then I probably would think that you are experiencing intermittent dropouts in connectivity due to the provider you have.  If you can, I'd get a new supplier.

You can also test using Webmail if you have that option, then you could exclude Winmail as being an issue, but with Norton and a flakey ISP, so it is difficult to tell who is the culprit, if not both.

  • Re: Issue of drafts of Satellite A200-28 and Windows Mail

    Hello

    can anyone help?
My laptop has SP1 on it and seems OK except with Windows Mail.

Every now and then when I put an email in the drafts folder when I return to finish writing it this stupid laptop has marked as an email sent so I can't change it.

I have to open select "just cut" and paste it into a new email.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Stupid thing, it's there are 6 other e-mails in there in some are finished, some are not.
Yet his chosen it to mark it as a read/sent email.

Check if you have installed the latest updates for Windows Vista? Thought, there was an update for Windows Mail or something like that.
This behavior was before you update SP1 already there?

But I couldn't be that he must look at its parameters. Maybe there are a few options on air currents and how they are treated.
Sorry, can't give you better help, because I only use Outlook.

  • Stop the background color printing on e-mail using Windows Mail

I have asked this question before and was advised. [When I tried to find the answer, I got:' bughttps://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=683139 683139]-using the ' high contrast black ""Accessibility Option"Win XP results in the colors of the screen printing", I discovered there was no such bug by this number. Now I think that somewhere in Mozilla there is a simple and complete answer that would solve the problem that I, and several others are apparently seen. So, here is again - when I get and want to print it, the background color that I have on my Windows Mail page prints also. That I don't want. I want to email to print with no background color to everything to save on color ink. It is not flattering that I get an email from my background color is printed when I print the email. So, I need to know how to prevent that from happening?

Another thread is here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/912736 - why did you mark it as resolved and then start another thread?

    https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=683139

This bug exists and a fix we talked until the discussion has been hijacked. Not yet fixed, so turn off the high contrast in Windows text looks like the way to avoid this issue for now. Or use another browser to print from Windows Mail for now.

  • Desktop SMS and Windows Mail are not working together

    Hello

thought I'd post here here as having a few issues with my Windows Mail but my desktop computer suffers the same problems and on a Vista forum where I posted my problem a few very useful told me who to try to solve the problems.

One of them suddenly realized I had said my laptop is a Toshiba, and apparently the Desktop SMS and Windows Mail are not working together so that the person suggested unless I use it to uninstall apparently amongst the technically trained its known that these two programs do not like each other and explain why my office is not the problem but the laptop don't.

After you have reset the Touch of Windows Mail (tutorial on a site http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/ vista) wood don't be put off by vistax64 as site 32 and 64 and followed great reset Windows Mail from Brink (do not restore all mail) then uninstalled Desktop SMS and touch of the drink no more mail questions that gave me problems almost every day with marking than reading/sending project messages.

So had to click forward then remove those bits and complete the email to send and touch wood since doing these two things as soon as send an email to the box shipment or project to obtain the number of emails in parentheses, whereas before it wouldn't happen unless I closed the program and then reopened.

Hoping that these solutions have solved my problem and wanted to share it with someone else who wants to read this thread and you recommend Vista 64 because they are all very useful there and speak in non-technical terms for those of us not technically trained.

I move the file from my old PC which took place with Vista on a new computer running with Win 10 where I have Windows Live Mail is installed.  When I try to copy the files from Windows Mail on Vista on a USB key I get the message "you are about to copy this file without its properties".  After studying this issue on the forums, a proposed solution was to reformat the drive in NTFS format, I did.  This does not solve the problem.  Any suggestions?  Would it be OK in this case to ignore the message and copy the file without its properties?

Well data files/user of vista should work. Yes a NTFS format is good, go to run, or cmd, type:

  • Cannot open or save an attachment in Windows Mail

    Hello

I can't open or save attachments in Windows Mail. I can see the attachment and highlight it. However, double clicking on it does nothing. Make a click right attachment makes appear an option "save under", but when I try to save it, I get an error message saying, "the command cannot be run."

I've never had a problem with Window Mail until yesterday. The problem started immediately after agreeing to compact the database of e-mail in Windows Mail. My Outlook in Office 2007 still works fine.

Now, I've read a few interesting comments on the Web about this issue. The tips are given is a variety of different bugs 'proposed '. To some I've seen:

    1. checking / unchecking option boxes withinin Windows Mail Security (does nothing).

    2. turn off your A / V by sending an e-mail to scanning or uninstalling your antivirus total program (at the same time - nothing has changed).

3 window mail accounts are corrupt due to antivirus updates installed (I have not deleted my accounts yet, but he can try it tonight).

4 Microsoft don't support Windows Mail, so install Window Live Mail! (this suggestion from a Microsoft representative real - I think it's very disturbing, because I paid for Windows Mail, which is part of Vista).

OS - Vista Home Premium (latest drivers and updates)

Anyway, if anyone has any info on this issue, any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hi all

As I was listing the foregoing, it dawned on me that it was perhaps related to the security settings for the "Internet" zone

So, I opened IE (8), tools, Internet Options, Security tab.  There, I saw something that I had not seen before, a checkbox titled enable Protected Mode; and it has been verified.

I've disabled and pressed to apply.  He tells me that my computer is in danger, and I agreed to that.

The drag-and-drop attachment problem is now fixed.

I checked IE7, and it doesn't have such a box.  Thus, the check box has been added with IE8, and its default value is checked.

I hope this is the last time that I visit this thread; But if it gets handed over by magic, I guess that I'll be back.

  • Move the files of Thunderbird to Windows Mail

I searched high and low for a solution to my problem. Nothing that I find works for me. I used Windows Mail in the past but had problems, but I hope they have been corrected. I moved to Thunderbird and now I want to move my emails to WM. I can't find something that works. I have several email addresses in Thunderbird which is separate files, some people have folders within them.

Is there a simple solution on how to import my mails from Thunderbird to Windows Mail?

You can upgrade to Windows Live Mail; Windows Mail has been abandoned with no other work for him (and probably has the same issues you encountered earlier).  WLM uses sets of folder for each account, not mising as with WM.

  • Windows Mail does not send to Mail in the sent folder

This morning, my Windows Mail is no longer my e-mails sent in the sent items folder. E-mail send OK, and I'm getting the small arrow icon purple on the projection of graphics Inbox mail I answered. It is simply not save copies of the sent emails.

To my knowledge, nothing has changed since yesterday and I have installed any new software. I checked the settings of e-mail Options and is checked for "backup copy of messages sent in the sent items folder. Just to be sure I unchecked, then checked again and press on apply, but it did not help.

Any thoughts? I REALLY need copies of all of my sent mail. Is there a maximum number of sent messages, I can save maybe?

(BTW - I'm on Vista Ultimate Edition with Service Pack 2. I use AVG Free for my anti-virus, but nothing has changed there either, as far as I know.)

Before going through the stages of the reconstruction of the base of messages, try to repair the database with my Windows Mail utility and see if that fixes the problem.  Seewww.oehelp.com/WMUtil/ also make sure AVG is not scan e-mail because that could be the culprit of this issue.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
