Issue of Windows systems

I have windows XP, my school request I have windows7 or compatible, I have to get windows 7 or windows XP enough and is it compatible with windows 7 programs for school?  Help!

Hello

There is no Windows 7 programs specifically.

Programs will run on different operating systems, depending ON how they are written.

You will have to depend on your school for advice in this operating system, they require you to complete your education.

All we can do is give you advice about what to do to see if your computer will be upgraded to Windows 7 if the school think it's necessary for you to do.

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

  • Recover Windows System Image in Boot Camp 10

    Hi all

I have problems with Windows on my iMac.

So I installed Win10 using the Boot Camp Assistant, partitioning 300 GB for it. After awhile, I realized I want to segment much more, so I tried looking for a way to extend this partition to 500 GB - I have tried it with a 3rd party app and didn't. I then created a Windows System Image, restored the fuser unit to a single OS X partition and reinstalled Windows with BCA - by then I had decided to partition 1 TB for each operating system. I installed with no problems and tried to recover Windows from the Image of the above system. But instead he apparently formatted my entire SDS, including the OS X partition, that the iMac will not start and more.

[I have a backup Time Machine and everything, I also know I have to reinstall OS X and then restore from that backup.]

The question is how to do what I tried bypassing Windows format the whole * thing. If this is not possible at all to recover from the image, I'll be forced to 'start from scratch' and I'd really rather not, 3rd party applications are welcome at this stage. Also, can I recover the files from the Image of the system?

    Thank you for your time,

    Bruncky

PS. : Given that the Apple employee didn't know immediately what I was talking about: in Windows, a System Image is a 1:1 copy of my Windows partition around, as opposed to a backup that saves only files apps and not content generated by the app.

PS2. : If I reinstall OS X from Recovery Mode, do I make specific configurations about the merger by car?

This issue arises from a bad assumption made during the restorations by the process of restoration of Windows. It assumes that the restoration is made on the dedicated disk that has nothing else. Winclone is the best solution on Mac instead of Windows System Image backups. I have some time with a few users and I have tried with different levels of success. Please see Bootcamp not recognized after the restoration of Windows from image system for example.

    Try of Winclone.

There may be some confusion between the Image of the system and the history of the files. Time Machine has no concept of an Image of the system, so it is also the terminology 'exotic '.

PS2. : If I reinstall OS X from Recovery Mode, do I make specific configurations about the merger by car?

No, unless you have built a custom Fusion car. If you have a Bootcamp partition on the drive of Fusion, you want to ensure that you're not crushing BC/Windows, unless a wipe/restoration is your goal.

Microsoft Money 2005 issue on windows 8.

I have recently installed windows 8 on my laptop, but after reinstalling MS money 2005 seems to me impossible to restore data.

I think that the problem might be that while my original Money 2005 had been updated to version 14.0.120.1105 now that I reinstalled the program, it is the original version 14.0.120.730.

I am aware that Microsoft has officially stopped support for MS 2005. However as I live in England where no later version is available a sale is too much to ask that Microsoft makes updates available to allow a work produced by another MS product Ms

Or loyalty toward Microsoft reimbursed by having to buy a third program of parties to import my data to work on their system.

Visit http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/money/thread/479281b2-90f9-42ca-85f7-644fc6e1e5c3 and download the installer of Money 2005 UK QFE2.

Don't forget to secure the download. The link can disappear at any moment and will not then possible to re - download.

This problem occurs because Microsoft released a new patch for the closure of a breach of security in Windows Internet Explorer.
But this patch has a bad influence on the Realtek audio chip.
That's why Microsoft has released a patch to fix the old fix. ;)

  • labview 6.1 with windows system error 7

I use vi Labview 6.1 to control an oscilloscope Tektronic and a universal pulse BNC via GPIB-USP connection generator. The vi worked very well with the windows XP system. The system was changed to Windows 7. Then the error (Trigger signal is not recognized. Check the connection between "Trigger out" and "at the ins') comes every time I started running vi. The link between "Trigger out" and "at the ins' works under mannual mode, so it's really ok.

Compatibility between Labview 6.1 and windows 7 would be the reason? If so, are there tips for using Labview 6.1 on windows 7?  Thank you.

    Thanks for your help.

The solution turns out to be very simple... The new Windows system is the German version so that the old windows English version.           , is used for decimal in German instead of .

  • Windows system error: there is an IP address conflict with another system with the network. How do I remove this error message?

I just installed a new internet provider and all of my connections are working fine, but I constantly get this "Windows system error: there is an IP address conflict with another system with the network." I have my electrician of the internet modem connected to my office. I have also two wireless devices connected to the appearance of the Modem wireless. I constantly get this error message mentioned above, and I want to get rid of it.

This means that all that he says.  Your Windows system has an address that already exists on your local network.  Turn your system off and use a working system to locate this address and to which unit he belongs.  In most LANs, the router's DHCP server.  You may be able to ask the router which addresses are used and see what device uses this address, but I suspect not.

Duplicate addresses can occur when two systems received the same address manually, or when we got an address in the DHCP of the router range. It is unclear when this happened because he is not in control of the address and puts the address duplicate to a second system.  You need to track down, ensuring that all addresses manually asigned are out of the DHCP range, that you book the address of the router, if you want the device to use this address, or configure all devices to request the address of the router using DHCP.

    Hello:

    No, it isn't.

Simply make your own drive of W7 installation/repair by downloading the file from W7 ISO applicable from the link below for the version of W7 you have.  Use the files in the list update to SP1 Media.

    dows-7-Digital-River-direct-links-Multiple-Languag http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/14709-win...

You can then use this tool to transfer the ISO on a DVD or 4 GB USB key file.  The tool also performs the bootable media.

Start on the W7 installation screen, and then on the lower left side of the window "Install now", you will see the repair option.

Hi when I start my laptot get this time on screen, c:window\system\spool\driver\x64\3lxcf time.dll ewry. lack of entry_run dllentry@16 it please can someone tell me what it is regarding

This DLL (for example, Dynamic Link Library) would have to do with a dynamic timer in your Lexmark printer software. The Lexmark printer software is configured to load each time that you start the computer, so when Windows starts, this error occurs.

First of all, I would like to see if the Lexmark Support site has an update for your printer software. If no update is available, the original software and reinstall it. Who would recreate the DLL registration and should solve your problems.

  • Windows system error message

We just installed a wireless modem. Sometimes pops up a message that says

    "Windows - system error".

    What it means?

This means there is another adapter or ethernet Wi - Fi on the network (which is connected or passing by it), who uses the same IP address. You must change one of the IP addresses

You can't have 2 computers with the same IP address. Look under the properties of the adapter on each computer. Under IPv4

  • Windows system error: a duplicate name exists on the network.

I get an error message from windows at initial startup. The message is "Windows system error: a duplciate name exists on the network." How can I fix this?

What version of Windows, including the service pack is installed?

After the error, can you use the computer to access the Internet?

You have a home network (i.e. more than one computer sharing an Internet connection) or this error pops up on a computer used in a business/company/Office?

Assuming that there is a situation of home, what has changed recently in what concerns other devices (computer, printers, game boxes, etc.) added to the mix?

How this computer is connected to the Internet?

Make a right click my computer and select Properties.  Then click on the "Computer name" tab  The 'full name' should not be the same as the name of "workgroup".

The error is a complaint that another device on any network to which your computer is connected to has the same name that the 'full name' shown in system properties (I assume that it is also possible that the error reports that there are two devices on the network with the same name even if none of these devices your computer).

Although there are utilities that scan your network and to report the names of connected devices, they are somewhat nonsimple to use and may not work on a computer that will expose the error that report you.

If your computer is on a home network, share an Internet connection using a router, you can manually check all other devices.  You don't maybe not easily able to determine the 'computer name' no computer network devices, but it is highly unlikely that such a device, for example, a network printer, would have the same name as your computer.

Just to be sure there isn't something special going, disconnect your computer from your network (or your Internet connection) and then it reboot.  The duplicate name error should NOT appear if the computer is not connected to a network.

Microsoft does not automatically contact you if you send details of error for them.  They use these reports to see what types of questions are trending and those that are trending upwards looked at herself.  The rest cannot.

And your daughter has been very wise - the call she received WAS a scam and she did well to cling to their topic.  Microsoft never call you unless you call them first, and they tell you that they will call back.
