Issues of camera RAW

I read through the FIRST messages in these forums and have followed the instructions, but I am still having problems. I am

using Photoshop CS3. I got the last RAW plugin and installed manually the file according to the instructions

here.

When I open my Pentax RAW image, RAW editor instantly opens and allows me to make some changes I like. The problem is, once I click on "Open the Image", Photoshop crashes for about 3 minutes before opening the image. Finally, it opens to the top of the image and allows me to make some manipulations I must.

I have a new Dell XPS with 6 GB of RAM and a 1 GB ATI video card. I don't think Photoshop should freeze during loading of these issues. When I work with hundreds of photos that Hang time 3 minutes adds up.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

It sounnds like he is looking for a network printer, which may not be online.  Change if you have a printer like the generic adobe defalult.

    Hello

Some installation issues of camera raw 5.7 in photoshop CS4.

    1. I tried the download link of 5.7 manual installation of adobe - but it seems to not work.

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4680 & starts = 4364

    2. I tried the installer 5.7 / link update of dmg - it downloaded the dmg without problems. However, while it was installing, I canceled the installation to halfway through because I thought something was wrong, because he seems to take long time. (I don't think that something was wrong in hindsight)

    http://www.Adobe.com/support/downloads/thankyou.jsp?ftpID=4682 & starts = 4362

    So:

I tried to reinstall 5.7 using only the 5.7 updater again dmg Installer but it kept detecting that a 5.7 was already installed and asking me to quit smoking.

However, I checked the plugin folder (Library/application support/adobe/plug-ins/CS4 / / file formats /) version is 5.6. Also if I open the cab of the bridge he opened a version 5.6.

    3. I emptied all the older versions of the plugin and tried to reinstall again using updater 5.7 but he said always 5.7 is already installed. What I did was the result I got.

    4. I have read on this forum and took advice Download 5.7 via the bridge Help menu > updates. I chose 5.7 in the update list and it appeared to work and update to 5.7. However when I check again the plugin folder (Library/application support/adobe/plug-ins/CS4 / / file formats /) version is 5.6. Also if I open the cab of the bridge he opened a version 5.6.

Could do with a little guidance because something prevents the installation program 5.7 re-install even if the plugin there is no real 5.7.

    Thanks for your feedback folks

  • Camera Raw 6.6 update installation issues

Hi, I have CS5 Design Premium and have tried everything without success to install the update to Camera Raw 6.6.  If I try to use the automatic update in CS5, it starts the process, and then after a few moments, it stops and gives me the message: "Please close the following applications to continue: Adobe Bridge CS5 (Bridge.exe).  If I close Bridge or Photoshop, and then click on continue, I just get the same message - as if there is a ghost copy of the program running somewhere in the background.  I tried to download the file manually, then click on fix Adobe Setup by following the instructions on the Adobe website, but need me just directly to the Updater screen in Bridge or Photoshop, and then, I get the same message again.  It's a vicious circle - how make out of it?  I did exactly as I'm supposed to, but it tells me that I open a program, that even if I stop...  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

ColinAusterberry I'm not sure if you use Windows or Mac OS, but I recommend that you complete the following in order to allow the update to proceed.

Solution 1: Exit Adobe Bridge manually.

In Windows, right click on the Bridge CS5 or CS4 icon in the Notification area of the start bar in Windows, and then choose Exit bridge. If you can't close bridge yet, open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete. In the Task Manager, select bridge then end task.

In Mac OS, Ctrl + click on the Bridge CS5 or CS4 icon in the dock, and then choose Exit.

Solution 2: Force Adobe Bridge to quit.

In Windows, right click on the start bar and choose Task Manager. Select the processes tab and choose to put an end to the process of Bridge.exe.

In Mac OS, choose the Apple menu > force quit, then choose close Adobe Bridge.

Note: The Solutions 1 and 2 allow Adobe Bridge continue to start when connecting.

Solution 3: Disable the option to start Adobe Bridge connecting.

In Bridge CS5 or CS4, choose the command Edition > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe BridgeCS5 CS4 > preferences (Mac OS).

    Choose Advanced Options.

Deselect the start Bridge option when connecting.

You can re-enable this option at any time.

  • Issues of Bridge CS5 XMP / Camera Raw

I was using a bridge normally to browse photos / pdf for ect. Suddenly, almost 'out of the blue', he stopped to store any settings and the changes I made to the photos.

For example: I open the bridge, double click on photos (RAW format), camera raw opens and then I make a few alterations. Click on 'done '. Camera raw closes. Normally an excerpt of this photo has been updated and the settings stored in the XMP file. Now, all this simply does not work: I can make any adjustments, but when I click on "done" it closes the Camera raw without saving the changes. Purge the cache does not work. It does not open the file directly from Photoshop. I checked the permission to access the file individual and photo and they are ok. Does anyone have the same problem?  Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Try resetting Bridge preferences.  Bridge to close then restart bridge and immediately press Ctrl + Alt + shift until reset it the settings dialog box is displayed, then select Reset preferences.

  • LR 3, PS CS5, Camera Raw 6.2, oh my! Compatibility issues?

I use LR3.2, PS CS5 (12.0.1) and Camera Raw 6.2 on Mac OS (Snow Leopard). When I open an image from Lightroom to Photoshop, filters such as blur of Surface will take about 10 minutes (literally) to complete. Wile the filter works, I checked CPU and it is 100%.

If I open the same image directly from the Camera Raw PS version, the filter ends in about 15 seconds! Any thoughts? This only happens when the LR is 'ready' PS image... help!

    Thank you

    Matt

Check your workflow options in the plug-in before you open the image in Photoshop Camera Raw to see the file size, depth of color and the color space selection.  Then compare those who have the preference of Lightroom for editing an image in Photoshop.  I suspect that there may be a difference.

  • Fallacious rectangles or "glitch" appear when using Camera Raw.

When I use Camera Raw, I see fake or rectangles 'glitch' appear when using various tools of exposure, the adjustment brush setting, etc.. To work around the problem, I set a tool that I use as an exhibition or a brush until the rectangles disappear, then try to accomplish my initial task. Although annoying and disruptive to work, the question so far seems innocuous from a real perspective of corruption.

The question goes far (stops going completely) when I uncheck the box "use Graphics Processor' Raw.

My guess is that it is a matter of driver/GPU. If someone knows something about this, would be great to hear, otherwise I just wanted to share the info in case someone else has the same problem arise.

Note, I have a relatively new Intel 970M, latest drivers and a lot of memory... This isn't an 'old system' or lack of memory type of question.

Here's an example of what I see (red arrows point to the issue but are not themselves part of the question):

  • Receive the error message "this version of Lightroom can require the Photoshop Camera Raw plugin version 9.3 for full compatibility.

    Hi all

I hope there, can someone help me with a Lightroom/Photoshop small but annoying issue.  (I saw a similar post on the subject here, but it was for an earlier version of Photoshop Camera Raw and the answers did not help me).

Whenever I choose to edit in > Photoshop in Lightroom to edit a file I get the message error "this version of Lightroom may require plug-ins verson Raw Photoshop Camera 9.3 for full compatibility.  Now, I know that I can get Lightroom to make the file or hit continue and that he either will get the job done.  But I want to the difficulty of what is the cause.  I'm on a Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5, I have Lightroom 6.3 (known as camera Raw 9.3 in the section about Lightroom) and I use Photoshop CS6 13.0.6 x 64.  I tried to click on help > update in Lightroom and Photoshop, but this has not solved the problem.  I tried following the instructions on the Adobe Web site to manually update the Camera Raw plugin that is supposed to be located at (from memory) (root folder) library > Application Support > Adobe > Plugins, but I don't have a Plugins folder (and yes I'm looking in the library under the root folder (, not under my user name).

    Advice!

Camera Raw 9.1.1 is the LATEST version which is compatible with Photoshop CS6.  You will not be able to update to 9.3.  In addition, Lightroom now up to version 6.6.  See the note in this article

  • camera raw could not open the CR2 files

After updating today s PS CC and bridge, I couldn't open any CR2 file in Camera RAW. Not after the- and new installation of both

If you are using a Mac, try back Camera Raw to version 9.4, such that there is a known issue on the old Mac

  • PS CC2015 Camera Raw Filter

I'm trying to use the camera raw filter to make some corrections to my image, but when the filter opens in view of the image, the colors are different from what is considered in PS it seems as if another ICC profile is used on the image.  I use Photo Pro, but I also changed the Adobe 1998 profile with the same results.

I used this filter before and it has always worked.  I checked and the PS and CR are the last update.  I use the Windows 7 platform.  The file is a PSB on 44000px x 6000px in size.

Someone had this experience or can suggest what may be the issue.

    Concerning

    Robert

I turned on and off in PS GPU and still no difference.

I would have suggested turning off the GPU in Camera Raw, but I see now that the Camera Raw filter does not give access to the ACR preferences.

And as far as I know, ACR filter does not even use the GPU.

But to be able to turn off the GPU, open a raw file in ACR, then press Ctrl + K to open the preferences and turn off the GPU.

Now open your PSB file and see if it makes a difference.

  • crop in camera raw

I don't know if a 'twofer' is allowed, but since the two issues of concern culture, I thought I'd try.

I have CR 9.1.1 (update for CS6).  I watched a video explaining the use of the crop tool (cropping in Adobe Camera Raw - YouTube) and it showed a drop down menu with various options (@ 01:16).  I get this menu in PS CS6, but no option of harvest in Czech Republic.  Is there a way to display this menu in CR?

In addition, with regard to the possibility of crop without removal of the pixels: I think that nothing is irrevocable to an image change when the same thing can be accomplished in non-destructively.  I was just curious to know if someone has discovered no downside to this.

    Hello

You can only crop Raw/Dng images that open directly in Camera raw (not by the filter > Camera raw filter)

    Refer to s-https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/using/rotate-crop-retouch-images-camera.html#crop_image

  • Is there a bug in the Camera Raw 9.3.1.520 files corruptrices of the .dng since a Drone from Parrot Bebop?

I am facing a very reduced problem. When you open a .dng file taken with my parrot Bebop Drone using 2015 Lightroom or Photoshop 2015 cc cc, the first time it opens fine. If you exit without saving the file, try to open the file, Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) will report that the file format is not compatible. It seems that simply open the file will cause Adobe to create a bunch of xmp metadata embedded in the file and write it in the file, even if it has been opened and not registered. Looks like a terribly bad practice for any software. I tried to find an arrangement in Adobe that could prevent this from happening without success. I filed a case with Adobe. Case # 187349196. I spent nearly an hour with a person of foreign support that kept insisting that ACR does not support drones Parrot when in fact it is listed as a supported in ACR 9.2 file type. Adobe would remove support in 9.3 +? I was finally transferred to a level 2 tech who has experienced the same problem and tabled the report. I expected better support for Creative cloud because I pay every month.

    Here is the temporary workaround...

Before opening one of your Parrot records, change the permissions on the file read-only (you can do this using file information on a Mac, not sure about Windows). The file cannot be altered after this step. You can save the file to another format to avoid this problem, .psd works very well.

This image shows the information file before and after opening with Photoshop. Note there is no 'save' on my part, I just opened up and quit smoking. The file corrupted on the left shows a bunch of metadata that are not in the original on the right file.

I would like to hear from Adobe soon on this issue because it is very frustrating and time consuming.

  • Download problems and Adobe Camera RAW update

I'm at the end of my rope here. I tried to download and update my Adobe Camera RAW software, so it can read the RAW of Nikon D750 files but the download of this has been a nightmare.

First of all, download speed, excruciatingly slow. This isn't a problem with my network I checked the speed I was getting is 1 Mbit/s for all other downloads, but for some reason that the download speed for the update is around the 15 and 16 Kbps. I tried to download through the application manager and directly via the Web site.

Secondly, in the case of the application manager, after 5-6 hours of excruciating download, during the night it showed an error message from the application manager was still on (when I tried to update the camera raw through my photoshop cs6, there was also an option for updating the application manager, I tried to uncheck the option (, but it does not really) and could not be updated, and the whole thing closes. Worse still, once I try again, it starts from zero, then no progress haven't saved!

Then I tried directly via the Web site to download the camera raw 9.1.1 for mac Adobe. Again, slow download speed and it maintains have expired. I make several attempts to reboot and finally facing the same issue, all the progress of downloading are lost, and I have to start from scratch.

I write this, I'm trying again through the application manager. There is no way to download the plugin just separately to read the NAVE of Nikon D750 file format?

    Help, please!

Here's the direct download links to the latest versions of Camera Raw.  These are stand-alone installers, but include not only the plug-in, but also the profiles, so downloads are always big enough:

  • During the installation of camera Raw 9.1 (Mac, with CS6) Photoshop seems to only show Camera Raw version 8.7 even though it said installation was successful?

Hello: anyone can tell me why when I install Camera Raw 9.1 (Mac, with CS6) Photoshop seems to only show Camera Raw version 8.7 even though it said installation was successful?

Bruce - thanks. I'm not sure you've seen this, but I looked on the "Update" menu on my laptop and updated the application manager. Who did the trick. I opened the Camera Raw 9.1 download successfully and it was installing on my hard drive, but without the CS 6 update, it was not to find the right place to go. This issue is now resolved, and updated the latest watch information box.

    Thank you!

Sorry it the second time I loaded to the forums for this issue.  I'm in PSE11 and then in the editor mode, then I click on help > updates, but nothing happens.  Thank you

As PES 11 can use that until the camera raw 7.4 RTAs plugin and the D610 nikno requires at least the
camera raw acr plugin 8.3, you can use the dng converter from adobe to convert the dng files best D610 nikon, PES 11 should then open.
