• Major Photoshop Lag - 2013 MacPro

  Having some major issues of Photoshop and it's a BRAND NEW computer, simply put into production...

  I use Photoshop CC 2014.

  At first, everything works great.  However, after working for about 30 min to 1 hour, or on 15-20 images editing, the clone tool preview starts stronglylagging behind.  The tool moves very well, but the preview appears when I stop the movement of the tool.  It does not at the outset.  In addition, when this starts to happen, that the moving a small layer around also lag.  No matter what the size of the file is either. The only way to fix is to reset my preferences.  However, after a short period of time, it does it again.

  Here is a list of the things that I tried but has not solved the problem:

  • Disabled plugins.
  • Made sure my tablet driver was updated.
  • Closed Photoshop and use own memory to free memory.
  • The Mac is restarted.
  • Did a hard reset on the PRAM as deleted Mac.
  • A ran the Apple Hardware Test (had no error).
  • Disconnect any extra devices (Tablet wacom, additional monitor, all external hard drives)
  • Uninstalled CC 2014 and used for the vacuum cleaner tool from Adobe Photoshop to remove all files.

  • Adobe technical support to make me a new Mac admin account. Adobe technology also had me connect to root and try. Adobe technology checked my Photoshop, cache level settings, settings etc. of the graphics card.
  • Disable all other than system fonts fonts.
  • Download and install older version of Photoshop CC. (without additional brushes, plug-ins, actions etc. were installed).
  • He worked on a minimum monitor with palettes open.
  • I feel like after trying all that, this is definitely a bug in the program.

  I even sent my preferences file to a friend who also has a Mac Pro in 2013.  When he uses my file of preferences, its been EXACTLY the same.  However, the difference is, when he goes back to his old preferences file, the problem is not like mine.

  Yet once, I tried Photoshop 2014 CC AND CC without any plug-ins, extra brushes, actions, styles, shortcuts, etc. and she always does.

  I'm running a Mac Pro Quad 37 GHz CPU 2013, which has the double over-pants D300 with 2 GB of video ram and 12 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 RAM.  Mac was purchased new. Operating system is Yosemite 10.10.2

  Adobe tries to help, but get nowhere and it IS a problem, it's a new machine with a new installation of the OS and cool a new user account and a new installation of CC2014, this should not be the case.

  By simple process of elimination of tests, this can be a hardware error or an operating system error or anything of this nature, otherwise he would not reproduce the problem on MacPro from a friend who I send my prefs file to... the fact that the file reproduces the problem, PROVES that it is a problem with the adobe software. and a solution needs to be there?

  Yes, Mac OS 10.10 has some slowdowns of graphics and a number of problems not solved - we made Apple aware of these issues, and Apple is working on solutions.

  Graphic slowdowns seem worse on 5K iMac machines. Again, Apple is aware of these problems and work on solutions.

  And there is a known slowdown if you display the rules in the document window. Again, Apple is aware of this problem and work on solutions. In the meantime, get away from the leaders.

• CS6 Illustrator and InDesign CS6 will not launch

  Using my creative cloud account, I downloaded Bridge CS6, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to my MacPro desktop and my home iMac.  All starting on the iMac of home applications and all but InDesign and Illustrator embark on the MacPro.

  InDesign and Illustrator "quit unexpectedly" during each attempt to launch Desktop MacPro.  The automated response from Adobe said that no solution could be found.

  I tried to restart and ensure that no other applications are running on one of the two Macs.  Still get the same result of the collision.

  Problem solved!

  I found the answer in another discussion forum, http://forums.adobe.com/message/4444075#4444075, down at the end of the discussion.

  When I download directly C @ 6 does not recognize that 9.2 is installed.

• Incredibly slow MacPro running El Capitan 10.11.6

  I have serious problems with my MacPro, and many of my problems seem to have arisen when I moved to El Capitan. My computer starts fine, but takes an excessive length - 10 - 15 minutes - to launch Apple Mail and InDesign 2015 CC in the Creative Suite. It's frustrating and I'm not sure what to do. I am a complete klutz when it comes to the "mechanics" of Mac with their operating system, even if I'm working with them since my first SE and PageMaker 1.0. My Mac over the years have run softly and I've met not something like what confronts me now. I don't know what to do - I do give up the machine and buy a new one, or is my MacPro "recoverable"?   OK, you can start by completely uninstall CleanMyMac3 and MemoryClean instructions of developers. See if it improves things a bit.

  I worked on my work, and I must admit I'm not to save my work all the time and I thank God that have taken up some of the Adobe Applications. But almost every day my MacPro crashes / freezes.

  I mainly these open applications Spotify, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adode Indesign, Firefox and sometimes Adobe Acrobat. Mainly sound when I use Illustrator that goes up the spinning wheel, but my Spotifty is still to play the tracks but does not move the playback bar.

  I tried to click around the screen, clicking on the desktop and sometimes it works, but the spinning wheel is still there. I tried to force it to quit smoking, but most of the time it does not work, so I have to restart the MacPro using the power button.

  When it restarts any applications that I had opened back, some mode of recovery other not. Then my Wacom tablet is so slow he only works on a single screen and must use the mouse to go to the screen in system preferences to get the two screens for work or reboot the computer because my tablet is not recognize.

  I did a full cleaning and reinstall and it seemed to work at first, but now has slipped to his old ways. I thought it might be Adobe apps the cause because I used to get the error messages and is a journal of my crashes, but its getting boring. Also, I delete large files, junk files, empty the trash when it's possible. It seems that other colleagues do not go there as much as I do and we all use MacPro.

  Can someone shed light on this case I am confused because I have never been more troble with my previous G4?

  The Mac maintains a record of all messages, good or bad, issued by the system. This journal is kept in power outages and reboots. It contains clues to why your Mac no longer responds. But it's a huge file and it is almost impossible to dig through without additional clues on where to look.

  Next time you have such a problem, not the exact time, hour, minute, second.

  After you restart your Mac, open Console.app (in the folder/Applications/Utilities). Huge scroll to the date and time of the problem. The next restart will begin with "BOOT_TIME", so the stuff right before that it's the key. Opening of the forum and start a response. Cut and paste a full screen of messages whose BOOT_TIME line, but nothing after.

  People who read this are all volunteers. More lines is usually just more difficult to navigate.

• Yosemite to El Capitan on old MacPro (early 2008)

  I use an old MacPro (early 2008) on Yosemite with 20 GB of RAM. Is it safe to upgrade to El Capitan? I am afraid that it might slow down and I can't afford to work be slower. I know that I have to update my system, but until I can afford, I want to be careful on what updates, I have install. I run for most of the photographic applications like CC PhotoShop, Lightroom, Capture One, and the usual complement of productivity tools. I had to pretty much quit Lightroom because it runs too slowly.

  I don't think any of the applications you mentioned that everything would go faster in El Capitan, in view of your computer.

• 4 USB ports on MacPro - solution

  My new MacPro only has 4 ports USB, I maxed out with devices that can not connect through hub (Powered). I am looking for a way to run these specific devices via a USB hub, or some other means to directly reduce the connection of devices to 4 or less.

  It doesn't seem to be a USB adapter Thunderbolt (I used Firewire adapters Thunderbolt on old disks hard ext)

  -J' I always use a 30 "cinema display from Apple that I must connect to a USB port and a Thunderbolt port on the computer. But maybe he can join this USB plug through a powered hub?

  -Wacom insists that their tablets to connect directly to the computer (not even a powered hub will do)

  -J' have several external USB (only) G-disks (same model) one of these drives to malfunction if connected via the hub. It only works when directly connected to the computer.

  -J' uses an external drive of the SS for Photoshop & Scratch video disc (and iTunes library). I am told that this should not go through hub.

  I buy a special powered USB hub which has 3 ports to load. But wacom advises against the use of this. Not sure about the movie screen.

• Problem with MacPro, early 2008 gel

  Help, please... I have a MacPro early 2008. I'm on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.

  Processor 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad - Core Intel Xeon

  Memory 8 GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

  ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256 MB graphics

  The question I have is this: my Mac freezes market throughout the day. It seems to happen after that, I was on the internet, especially if I use FireFox, (43.0.4) and download anything. I downloaded Photoshop backgrounds, brushes, photo galleries, fonts, etc.

  I had two things happen that could have caused this:

  ) I tried some software of compression of pdf via the internet, and it would break my system after some pressure.

  (2.) the battery backup on my Mac doesn't have a couple of times and has my Mac completely down. It is a professional unit of size, so I guess that something is wrong with her.

  Before my Mac freezes, Illustrator starts responding very slowly. Finally, it crashes and I have to make a hard stop at the CPU. Sometimes my monitors (double cinema) will stop as well.

  Once I have restart the Mac, then creative cloud will launch and ask me to connect even though I don't have it running before the accident. Generally the crash will also Suitcase Fusion 4 to fail, and I have to rebuild the base FM.

  Someone suggested that I have buy Bitdefender and see if I picked up some malware. I only did this for the moment. I'm not running any security software other than keep my security Mac update through software updates.

  I hope that someone has ideas on what could be causing these issues, I can try and how to solve problems.

  -Probably the graphics card is a failure. What happens to 2600 XT aftertime.

  -You can try to open the cover side and ensuring that fans turn freely and are free of dust. Blow dust if necessary.

  -In addition, install an app like Mac Fan Control fan speed and temperature to see if something is overheating because this may cause monitoring freezes.

  -Also

  • Note the time of the next frost. After the reboot, open the Console app in Finder > Applications > utilities and look for entries of the log at the time of freezing. Suspicious message here.

  Search before the journal entry that begins with BOOT_TIME since it is the first line of a start-up.

• Choosing iMac and MacPro

  Looking for entry and helps in this decision-making process.  Considering an iMac on a MacPro I for the convenience of space and portability currently and want to ask people here in the Mac publishing community for their 'opinion' and ' experience' with similar applications, work or use.  I have retired and you want to reduce the amount of work that I do more to clean up my workspace of excessive and other cables.

  Or the other system I edit with Photoshop CS5, FCPX, Lightroom and use (use) external thunderbolt matrix RAID 0 with two internal disks, mini disks external hard thunderbolt and a CD/DVD/BluRay external burner.  I will edit not 3D.  I will edit 1 4K video camera eventually, but not much.  Most of my work will be no emergency BUT that said when I'm working I don't LIKE COLOR WHEEL LOOKS or mini jams.  Finally, I get the SSD single bolt of lightning and hope that sometimes in 2016 thunderbolt RAID 0 with dual SSD.

  Here are my specs current and proposed with the MacPro CURRENT being a "just above entry level" Late 2013 and proposed iMac which is an end of 2015 and at the top of the iMac.

  just an opinion, no experience in this League of the boxes, no users 'pro', just an amateur enthusiast here...:

  I'm 4-6 rivers multicam editing on my MacMini (well Yes, tupperware box) on a weekly basis, no beach balls - how is it? FCPX using ' smart function to distribute the media on several media (and mine are just usb3, no CT). Bulit (transformation, CC, Center) effects are 'live', no need renderining effects no wheels, no waiting.

  My latest toy is a cam 4 (Lumix fz1k) k - without no flaws, no lock either using proxies.

  speaking of proxies, ok, when it comes to conversions on im - and export, I must admit hours might go look at a bar, more and more warp of snail...

  My lil' son's latest project, a holiday film, with hundreds of photos and a gross of phone-vid mixture and actioncam-stuff, almost no matter what color corrected framework, the effects of home-brewn & titles, 35 min, fullHD > No when editing > 1 h beach balls for export, and even ancient iDVD (for Grandma & Grandpa) was done at least 30 min...

  If you need it , if you need now - buy an iMac.
