It is best to turn off or leave my iPad in standby mode

It is better to turn off or leave my iPad in standby mode?

I let my off overnight, but connected to a power source to keep the battery charged.

Alternatively, you can stay in mode 'sleep' but just keep an eye on the battery.

If you don't see the percentage of battery on the screen, tap settings > battery then switch battery percentage ON.

  • Double monitor turns off the second monitor in the locked mode

    Hello

We work in an environment of support and use the installation of two monitors. Win7 heard to have good management of these settings and easy-to-use features. However at some point, something that was great went troubled.

We can use two monitors while working on it however just its coastline turns off the second wallpaper and screen savers set if necessary. I tried to look for any change in config, but in vain. Looking for answer now here.

    Thanking you in advance.

There is no built-in way to change this feature. When it is locked, the screen will be black. There may be some 3rd party software that can do this, but it is not supported by Microsoft. Double-click it and change its value to something very high as 999999 (setting to 0 or - 1 will also work, but I've not tried it myself).

  • What is the best Connection string for the application to connect to standby mode active

I have setup a primary database and a database of active standby on both servers in a different city.

Now for people to test, what is the best tnsnames chains that I provide them?

In addition, how do I test?

    Thanks in advance.

No I don't think so. (I'd use the Uwe Hesse document, it is the best!)

In my test document I just created on the primary and assumed Data Guard "moved" a copy for my watch.

Pretty easy to check and the worst thing that can happen is that he barks cause there is already.

    Its a great solution

    This configuration offers many advantages:

Guests can reconnect using the same connection string.

Need to communicate with customers is reduced, especially after hours.

Primary maintenance may occur with only minor interruption of service.

Name of databases may be different without impact to the customer.

  • Satellite A75 impromptu turning-off (Help!)

    Hello!
Well, I own a Toshiba Satellite A75-S2112 old of almost 4 months.
I bought in the States and moved to Germany, to go to College. So the thing is, my laptop started to turn self about 1 half a month... at this time, was not on a regular basis and well, I decided to ignore it, because it seems to have stopped once I turned off and leave my computer laptop "rest."

But since 2 days ago, the problem is really big. It will be just off; just like that. I thought it might be a horse of Troy, a virus or something, but it is even off the power during Windows startup - just by displaying the "Microsoft Windows XP" logo.

So, what guys do you think it could be? And can it be resolved? It will be as a replacement for laptop, or it'll just be fixed? If Yes, what should I do and where should I apply / send it in Germany?

I'm really worried, because I'm in a foreign country, and I don't know how to get it fixed here. And my laptop is essential during my course of study :(

I have the same time, I'll try to save all my info.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

    Best regards

    Alfonso

    Hi Pierre,.

After reading the description of your problem, my first thought is that your laptop is overheating. A thermal trigger will work if it detects that the CPU is not too hot. This will cause the cell to lose power instantly, i.e. no controlled stop.

I would recommend to clear any dust and accumulated debris from the heatsink to the CPU. Given that your unit is still under warranty, I will try to use a vacuum to suck up dust out through the suction fan grids. There are a lot of threads about this problem on this forum.

If this not solves your problem, do not try to disassemble the radiator yourself, as this would negate your warranty.

You can find your nearest Toshiba approved repairman since Toshiba Germany website:

    http://www.Toshiba.de/index.asp

Finally, make sure that your laptop is always placed so that sufficient air can get into the ventilation system. Indeed, don't put it on your lap or on a soft surface (carpet or upholstery).

    Good luck
