It is good to have two or more samples, replicates?

Hello world

I read somewhere in a blog it is good to have replicates more according to the number of tables that a particular schema has to achieve good performance. Is this good?
We have 150 patterns, and some of them contain spatial data. It's a windows 2008 R2 with oracle 11.2.0.3 Server

Is it ok to create two or more extracts, datapump also or just replicates is good?

What about the following scripts? what I need to add or remove anything for this?

EXTRACT EXT1

DISCARDFILE c:/goldengate/dirdat/rep1.dsc

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks in advance...

It depends on the workload you have.

150 patterns looks like to much. If YOU have more than 1 pump/extract/replicat but attention

You must ensure that all tables that may be part of a single transaction belong to the same stream.

If the flow you get right now is that enough I wouldn't create several excerpts/pumps

However, more replicates seem to be the way forward in your case, take a look by using the @RANGE function and remember my 3rd line by separating the schemas/tables in different "streams of replication.

I wrote a book in which I created a table of contents listing the sections in the book part i, part two e.g. etc..

Can I now creates the TOC for each part?

    If so, please advise procedure.

    Thank you

You can have a table of contents preceding each section. So, for your Part One article, you place your insertion point before the text in the section first and apply Insert menu: Table of contents: Section.  A new page containing the table of contents will be inserted before each article that you apply it too.

  • Advice please reply to the message 'you have two or more of the same connected printer"

I don't know what to do.  My new printer (Deskjet 3070) is configured to print wireless.  The display on the screen on the printer says that the wireless is connected.  The printer has printed its first two requests, successfully, but now I have a queue, and trying to access the problem, I found a pop-up window.   I don't know what choice to make.  I would be very grateful for advice.

I am asked to choose between:

HP Deskjet B611 3070 series (network)

    and

    HP03805A (HP Deskjet 3070 B611 series)

If anyone knows what is happening here, that I should choose, and what I should have avoided doing in the implementation, I would appreciate your advice.

I found a similar request, some time on this forum, but there was no response.

    Thank you!

    Choose the network version.

You can verify that this is the right printer by clicking devices and printers. The other can be the usb connected version if you use the usb cable to install the software.

The other is uninstall if displayed in the printers and devices dialogue box.

  • Two (or more) mp3 files for a song? can I delete one of them?

    Hello world

I use iTunes 12.4.3.1 on iMac with OS X El Capitan.

I recently created a "parallel" to the MP3 playlist for a playlist with about 100 titles, because I need to burn it to CD. So far so good.  No doubt, I made some kind of mistake, and now I've discovered that, for each mp3 track have have two or more files.  They do NOT appear as duplicates.  Duplicates show two versions of the song, such as AAC and the other in mp3 format.  As in the following screenshot.

But if I select the song mp3 (the one with 160 Kbps) and click on 'Show in finder' I get the following THREE files:

The "right" one is that with time later and the '1' in the name, I know using the option "information" on the song.

    so now the questions are:

    (a) how it happened?

    (b) is it possible to find ALL these duplicates and delete them?

    (c) in the case, can I delete them manually without risk to my music library?

I am relatively new to Apple, I will be grateful for all the advice

    Best regards

    Claudio

    (a) you can know with certainty, but my guess is that you have made a conversion like this before, and then deleted the new songs in the library after use, without deleting the corresponding files in the press kit at the same time. When iTunes tries to make a new copy by using the standard file naming scheme there is already a file it if it adds etc. '1' or '2' that required such file until it can make a new file name. (In some scenarios, it starts with "2" but I can't remember which).

    (b) use file > add to library, and select the iTunes Media folder. Anything not currently connected to iTunes is added to the library. Use file > library > show duplicate items > same Album to an exact replica of the list. Sort on Date added. Remove duplicates added only today. Send messages deleted to the trash.

    (c) see b). Manual removal is usually difficult and prone to error. You must be sure that the file you are deleting is not that the library is connected to. It may not always be apparent from the date or name.

There are a set of circumstances in which multiple entries of the library can be connected to a single file. If there is a risk that this then some extra to take when removing care needs, but this is not a problem in the scenario described and the given solution addresses only the physical dupes who are in the media folder and are not currently connected to iTunes.

  • Two or more SRID in the same column?

Hello, I am working with Oracle Spatial, and I have a problem with the SRID.

I have a column in a table with the SDO_GEOMETRY type and I need to create a Spatial Index to use. But to create a Spatial Index first, I need to insert metadata into the table incluied SRID: for example

    Insert in user_sdo_geom_metadata (table_name, column_name, srid, diminfo) values ('Spatial_Test', 'GEOMETRIA', 8307, SDO_DIM_ARRAY (SDO_DIM_ELEMENT('LONGITUDE',-180,180,0.5), SDO_DIM_ELEMENT ('LATITUDE',-90, 90, 0.5)));

But I need to work with more than one SRID in this column. Is there anyway to have two or more SRID in the same column? How? and if I insert them, can they give any problem?

    Thank you very much.

    Good bye.

    ZeyKa,

. . . . You can transform and store all your geometries in SRID 8307 and then turn to their original SRID when you SELECT them.

-- "Example: Transform geometry from to SRID 8307 for storage"
-- "NOTE: Replace and with your values"
    INSERT INTO MyTable (ID, geometry,RenderSRID) VALUES (1, SDO_CS.TRANSFORM(,8307), );

-- "Example: Transform stored geometry back to its "
    SELECT SDO_CS.TRANSFORM(geometry,RenderSRID) FROM MyTable WHERE ID = 1;

    Kind regards

  • two or more of the same connected printer?

Got my new OfficeJet Pro 8630 a few days ago and installed on Windows 7 x 64 as a seamless wireless network printer.

Last night, I noticed the 'install the device driver' dialog box pop up Windows. Since then, the HP utility 8630 informs me that I have 'two or more of the same printer connected' and asked me to choose:

"HP Office Jet Pro 8630 (network)", and

    "HP9D41EB (HP Officejet Pro 8630.

The first shows all the data that must be there when the HP utility appears (print, scan, fax); the second shows only the news 'Print '.

In the window 'Printers and devices' CP, there is always only ONE printer, illustrated by default, named "HP9D41EB (HP Officejet Pro 8630".

How can I get rid of the bad? I don't want to put my Windows Setup through uninstall and reinstall everything. I saw messages on this topic with different printers HP in Win 7 since at least 2011. Y at - it an explanation and a solution?

    Thank you

    JW

    It's what worked:

I noticed that the name of the printer in the Windows "Devices and printers" was one of the two who gave information "printing" in the HP utility, so I clicked and was removed in "Devices and printers", leaving no HP printer at all.

Then when I went back to the HP utility, it showed NO printer, but had returned to "connect A new printer. I did and it works very well - only one instance that shows the print, fax and scan as it should.

Looks like Windows itself wants to detect the printer via a different driver.

    Thank you

    JW

Can I move the files I want to save on the other hard drive and install Win7 on the main HD instead of buy an external HD as the instructions State?

I have an old Dell XPS410 with 2 GB of RAM and two HDs. The only thing I use the other HD for storage is (I am an artist and musician). The idea of having to save this HD set is terrifying for me right now there are about 350 GB worth of songs made with reason and images and web graphics made with Photoshop. The last thing I want to do is lose this kind of things. The 2nd HD was added long after I initially bought the computer, and I have never re-installed the system since the 2nd HD has been added.

A custom install of Win7 would also remove the info on the second HD?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Move your songs during the second drive unit. Then turn off the computer and unplug the data cable from the second drive unit. This will leave only the drive that you want to install Windows 7 on connected and nothing on the second disc will be safe.

  • It is better to have two antivirus programs to be sure?

    original title: MS Security Essentials?

I am now under Webroot Internet Security complete and I was wondering if I have or should run/download MS Security Essentials? I read somewhere that it is better to have two antivirus programs to be sure. What should I do?

    Hi Richard,

Contrary to what OU a course, you must have a real-time protection anitmalware/antivirus program installed on your computer. Major reason being disputes between two to treat an infection. However, you can have other scanners on request, indeed since no antimalware/antivirus software is 100% sure I'd say at least one to increase daily or weekly scans with your resident security program.

Microsoft Security Essentials offers protection in real time for your home or small business PC that protects against software viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

If you Choose Microsoft Security Essentials cleaning/unistall this guarantee as well as programs of real-time protection previous using tools and methods remove properly.

You should also consider how to use the Microsoft Safety Scanner(similar to MSE, but it is a self-contained/not installed scanner)http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Online scanners are also good second opinion option. My preference is ESET OnlineScanner.

Another recommendation is free WinPatrol. Although not a software program anti malware/antivirus in the usual sense of the term, it monitors your computer and landlords of any changes to your system that could be associated with malware. It can be run in real time with other products without conflidt because it does not take immediate action on the issues.

  • When I click on computer it tells me that I have two hard drives

    one is my vista-EU (c) 465 GB.

The other is disk data backup, also with 465 GB.

now please can you tell me what the backup hard drive data is for.

and how I can use it.

can I put some of my files on it.

or when I fill the disk hard vista will it then go to the hard disk of 2 nd,

as you can see I don't know, so I thought I'd ask.

You have two physical disks or you have a disk partitioned into two identical partitions?  You must open your PC and watch.  However, if two physical disks or two partitions on a physical disk, probably little in terms of use.  The additional drive has a drive letter (i.. e, D or E or something like that)?  If it has a drive letter, there the files on the disk?  Use Windows Explorer to search for.

If you have a second empty drive, it can be interesting to use it as a backup.  Most versions of Windows have built a backup program.  Some may clone a drive, and it is the best way if the goal is speedy recovery operation.  You make just a bit-to-bit drive C and then if something happens to this player, you have a copy of the morror from where you start.  Do you the back up data you don't need to back up, however.

Other backup programs will bring copies only specific data to you and in most cases, that's fine.  If sometrhing occurs on the C drive, replace you it, reinstall Windows and your other programs, and then copy your data specific to your user profile.

While there is an element of risk if the two discs are in the same PC, a defect in the drive does not necessarily mean that they will both fail, then what you get is more likely to be available in the case of a faulre.

Have two partitions on the same drive adds a bit of risk.  If something were to happen to your physical drive, you lose not only the C drive, but whatever the drive is mapped to the other partition.

In all good backup system, you must also use off-site, such as DropBox and SkyDrive storage.  It wouldn't hurt to burn your WIndows on a CD or a DVD profile regularly also.  You should have three copies of any file that you feel is important.

NEVER EVER again, will buy your printers in life...

The printer needs little available in any color ink to prevent clogging of the nozzles.  Some ink will be used every time you start upward and stopped.  See here for more information on using ink.  While this document is written for the HP printers, that it applies to other manufacturers as well.  Your printer is a printer IIC in the terminology of this document.

HP and other printer manufacturers have technology another printer for different needs.  For ink jet printers:

    • Some have integrated into the ink cartridges print heads.  These printers can print generally with one or more of the colors completely empty, or even with color or black cartridges (but not both) removed. The 8040 a Officejet is an example.
    • Other printers have separate replaceable printheads and inks.  An example would be the printer Officejet 8600.  In these printers print head can be replaced if they are damaged by running the printhead with colors off.  Some of these printers allow printing with a color, the other will not.  If the printer is run without ink in one or several colours, the printer may be damaged, but the user may be able to recover without having to send to the printer for the service.
    • Other printers have permanent print heads.  To run only those without little ink in all colours would risk causing damage to the print head because of clogs, air ingested in the printhead or grilled printhead resistances of shooting. The Officejet 6700 is an example of this type of printer. For printers with fixed print heads that could require the service to get the printer to print properly again when the ink is finally replaced.

If you do ever print color laser printer would probably be a better choice.  If you occasionally print color but especially black a HPI printer as those in the first category above can be a good choice.
