  Battery CMOS is needed to keep the BIOS settings.
  It seems that the CMOS battery is empty if you need set the date and time always in the BIOS settings. But the CMOS battery has nothing to do with the floppy drive.

  It's very frustrating because I am trying to troubleshoot a battery that never stopped to load and I can't even remove the battery because we don't know don't know how to do.  No latch on the bottom of the chassis.  In addition, it is not addressed adequately in the user manual.  No mention of the lock or even a diagram.

  Hello dergol,

  To remove the battery on Aspire One 725:

  1. place the computer on a flat surface, side battery is in place.

  2. use the screwdriver to press and hold the battery latch (near VGA port) to unblock the situation.

  The battery will automatically be realease of the battery bay.

  3. slide the battery out of the battery bay.

  Thanks for the reply - and I would have already except that I can't find the original battery sku, etc..  I have a spare battery that is different from the original manufacturer - so everything that I know is that it's a 6 cell, 4400mAh, 48 wts... I guess I can try with the computer model and these specifications; just thought someone might know a good site to buy batteries-...

  Ah, a question I had.  In my manual for the Aspire, it indicates that unless I need to use the computer with the power of the battery that I should just use the power cord - I always said that a battery must be in place, however, I use the laptop plugged into the power supply cord, almost all the time--must be the battery?  Seems weird to leave this big hole in the bottom of the computer, seems strange.

  I recently brought E5 laptop Aspire 56RG 573G.  I reinstalled windows 10. After I have visited page driver for download neccesery drivers but the problem is that there are so many different drivers for the same materials. (for all laptops series g 573)

  I have an Aspire 5630 with a battery that depletes half an hour.

  I want to replace it.

  The battery is 11, 1V - 4000mAh.

  When I am looking for a replacement, I see only a 4800mAh on-site Dutch Acer with no futher on voltage details.

  A different battery supplier tells me there are 2 different types for the 5630:

  a 4400 mAh 11V and a 14.5V - 4800 mAh.

  Confusing!

  Someone at - it an idea. ?

  Of course, I would prefer the maximum mAh.
