  I told you in my first post "in short, PSE14 may", Yes, the PSE13 and 14 support Nikon D810.

• Camera Raw Support for Canon 7 d MkII

  Just try to get an idea if I should spend the $99.00 to buy at the Apple Store opening.  This may seem a little over the top, but the workflow, I miss by not having not RAW support in Lightroom is worth the expense of buying from opening.

  I find it very disappointing that Adobe do not have as the support yet for the new Canon 7 D MkII.  It is a VERY popular camera.

  Mostly I find this slowness on the part of very disappointing Adobe because they sell CC buy saying: "you always up-to-date software.  When you think Apple and Google Picasa have already taken care of the Canon 7 d MkII.  I might add that they had both for the camera within days of its release on October 31.

  So, after my little mug shot.

  Someone from Adobe can advise when we see Camera Raw support the new Canon 7DMkII?

  Although it is in beta, I'd be very happy to be a beta tester.  I have extensive experience in software testing and would be ready to do the beta-test structure.  I would be very happy if someone on Adobe Labs would contact me to Beta test for the 5 d MkII 7 Camera Raw support.

  This camera has been supported since ACR 7.4, so ACR 8.1 certainly support it.

  It would seem that your file is corrupted.  What is the wording of the error message you are getting?

  Have you used a Nikon software to transfer your raw files from Nikon for your computer?  Nikon software is notorious for corrupt files during transport, especially if you are on a Mac.

• Adobe Camera Raw (CR2) files not able to be opened by the glance

  I get this message on my Mac when I try to open the downloaded files from my camera CR2: "The plugin Photoshop Camera Raw did not recognize the format of one or more files." Some files can be opened in Adobe Bridge, but not others.  All can not be opened in Quick Look.  I have not knowingly changed no settings, my camera or software.  Any ideas?

I tried to install the plug in Adobe Camera RAW, versions 2.0 and 2.3, but if I try to open a my DSLR RAW image (i.e. in NEF format), I get an error message: 'not the right kind of document. Can someone please advise?

  JPEGs are lossy really you don't want to use JPEG for nothing, but saving for the web.

  the reason why the files are so big is that they are 16 bits is the same reason that you can't not save in Jpeg format. Convert them to 8 bit.

  New cameras are usually added to the next version of the plugin ACR and LR after the device is available for sale.  In the past, a new version of ACR/LR is published every 3-4 months and new cameras are released whenever the manufacturers want, so it can be anywhere from a few weeks to several months of delay, according to the sequence of the output of the camera and the next version of the regular software.  Sometimes it seems that Adobe will delay a plug-in version to be able to include a new important camera in it, but other times a popular camera buyers wait several months.  Adobe has the hours fixed for the releases aren't so rushed by releasing a new plug-in whenever a new camera model is released.   Only a wait of six months would be for a device that is difficult to sustain immediately and requires an innovation for the decoding process raw, rather than just the usual camera-profiling which is not so difficult.

  As for your other question about if CS6 will include support for the 5 d, now Adobe sells CS6 and CC so they provide a new camera support via plug-ins updates of ACR for both.  It remains to be seen if CS6 is still sold by the new time camera support is added for the 5 d or not and will probably be a business decision based on factors totally foreign to the 5 d.

  I bought the new sony rx100 iv and took it on a trip.  EU back and I tried to transfer the images raw on my mac. I installed the last update of the El Capitan program for raw camera support. I checked the Sony Web site and found the rx100 iv is taken in charge by El Capitan.  Lightroom is not able to preview or import raw images on my SanDisk SDXC 64 GB card.  I have the reader of cards Hoodman steel USB 3.0 compatible with El Capitan. I have 5 Lightroom and checked these latest available updates which there are not.  The last update, I installed was version 5.7.

  LR is made by Adobe. El Capitan is an Apple product, Mac OS computer.

  You need a newer version of LR. LR 6 or CC with la.4 ou.5/5.1 update.

  The Sony RX100 iv came out about 4 or 5 months ago. LR 5 has been out for 2 years (+/-) and the latest update for it was published there about 1 + year.

  Please follow the steps if you see black pictures after importation into Lightroom below:

  1. Turn off apply tone auto under Lightroom preferences settings

  2. restart Lightroom and then re-import images
