  With the current iTunes, you do not select the iPod under devices in the sidebar.  The iPod appears as a button on the device on the horizontal bar that runs through the iTunes screen.  See screenshot below of the window of my iTunes (top left), showing the camera button for an iPod (circled in red).

  

  By clicking on the iPod touch is equivalent to selecting under devices for older iTunes.  You will see the settings screen for the summary of the iPod.

  The 4th generation iPod requires the connection to the USB adapter that comes with it to complete the restore process.  Another adapter Apple, like the one that comes with the iPhone or iPad, should also work.  Non-Apple power adapters may work fine for regular charging of the battery of the iPod, but often do not work for this particular use.  If you have a Mac with a FireWire port, and you have a FireWire cable, you can also get past this step by connecting the iPod to a FireWire port.  It is a peculiarity of design iPod 4th gen.

  Hey ppl, can someone help me with this one?
  My iPod Classic was initially connected to a PC, because I didn't have a Mac at the time. But I an and for a long time, and now I'm about to get a second.
  I was put in place with the PC mostly because my iTunes library has nearly 500 stored cd and I use my iMac only for work, I didn't want to fill his 500 GB drive with iTunes library. But now that I'm about to take my work to a new Mac, I thought that it was time to move my iTunes library to Mac, and I did it with the help of an external hard drive.

  I had checked the discussions over and over again before posting the question and do not find an answer, and now after posting the question, I found what solved my problem - iPod sync fine with the Mac. (to goodbye PC)

  OK, that's fine.  So, just what is currently on the iPod is already in your new library iTunes, correct?

  When you start with a new iTunes library and add your existing content, the iPod sees it as a new iTunes library, not the old one that was previously used to synchronize the iPod.  The partners from iPod to your new iTunes library and the Tower WE Auto Sync, follow these steps...

  Select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to display the parameters of the iPod in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click music.  Settings of music from the iPod screen is shown at right.

  NOTE: All iPod songs that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.

  Check the box to Sync music.  This turns ON Auto Sync (and associate the iPod to your new iTunes library).  If your library complete iTunes music can fit on iPod, choose the option to synchronize the entire music library.  Click apply.

  On a separate note, since you started with a new iTunes library, you have added all your content to your backup, but you probably do not have the additional data (such as playlists, ratings, play head, date added, etc.).  Depending on how you have saved your iTunes data, it may be possible to restore your full (not only your media) iTunes library.  You need to be good with the help of your new iTunes library, but if you want more information, thanks for posting back. »

  So I have an old iPod classic that I recently started using again, but he seems unable to sync the TV shows that I own.   You create a shortcut to the folder - not in the iTunes program.  You must locate the main executable file to iTunes and make a shortcut to THAT (there probably is one already made in the section of all programs on the start menu you can copy)-then move it to the F drive and it will start iTunes.

• Vista starts and then needs to restart to work properly.

  As to why they are ghosting on your screen, I don't know exactly. You can try to update your computer's video driver to eliminate it as a source of the problem.   Wait for Windows to stop the spooler

  Close the window

  Press the Windows flag key + R to open the run

  Type Devmgmt.msc

  Right-click on the driver and select uninstall

  I have a Windows 8 PC and a tablet of Surface RT, they are both connected to the same network but I can't connect to the home group. I am not able to see computers, when I click on networks so connected devices.

  When I disable the security of password of my router, everything seems to work properly. I don't want to leave my network available to everyone however. so as soon as I put a password on my router now I can't pick up devices and home group. I tried to change my network advanced setting but who just so used to work. I don't know what there is to do.

  This is for both of my devices, I don't want to leave my router without protection. Is there a way to fix this?

  I think I found the answer to the problem. I went to HomeGroup settings on my PC and on my Surface and I checked everything on making default setting the private setting may be available on the network.

  After that, I went to make sure that the firewall on my computer has been set to its default value. Then I went to check my firewall antivirus (BitDefender) and noticed that the network was listed in public, that's why I could not pick up other computers.

  So I checked the network in order to be under this judgment in Bitdefender and everything seems to work now. My surface to pick up the computer and the home group.

  Check your anti-virus firewall settings, perhaps that is the reason.
