iTunes invalid response from the device

Thus, since updating my iPhone 6 to IOS10, I have been unable to sync with my mac. When I plug my phone I get the message of athis on my mac...

iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone", because an invalid response was received from the device.

I click OK

I look at my phone it asks if I want to trust this computer. I click Yes. Nothing.

So I wait. Nothing. I disconnect and try again. Same thing. I tried all the USB ports on my mac. Same thing.

Search the forums here, looks like a common phenomenon when connecting to a PC, but not a mac.

Devices running iOS 10 require the latest version of iTunes, which requires OS X 10.9.5 or more. It's time to upgrade.

  • iTunes could not connect to the iPhone "iPhone", because an invalid response was received from the device.

So I am a new iphone 7. I had a 6 before that. Everything was fine until the day where I got the 7, I decided to try a manual on itunes for my 6 backup so that I could put this on the new phone. I use now icloud backup but before that he always did on my computer. Its itunes version 12.2.2.25 as it is the most recent, that I can run with 10.7.5 which is the newest my mac pro can work without hacking it. Again, never had a problem before it save and use it to transfer music. Anyway, I received the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone"iPhone"because an invalid response was received from the device." I tried 3 different usb cords. I tried both ports to the front of the computer and all 3 in the back. Abandoned and did a backup icloud. Installed on the new phone. Everything transferred except my music library which is real download of my CD via itunes. If something was wrong on the iphone 6, surely the new phone that starts with a clean slate will be very well... wrong.  Same message. Leaves through ports, cables, etc. Is it just a simple matter of ios 10 now works with my version of itunes?

A new phone will be iOS10.  iOS10 requires iTunes 12.5.1 find which demands in turn 10.9.5 OSX or newer.  Software update checks only the updates to the current version of the system that you are running but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements. Find your computer on the web site of http://www.everymac.com model and near the bottom of the specification of the system section, he will tell what versions of the operating system, it is able to run. If you can not run a newer system, you will not be able to sync this phone to your current computer. OSX 10.9 and 10.10 are no longer available. You can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM (4 GB is a minimum realistic and many recommend 8 GB).  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

  • iPhone 6s more wont connect to iTunes "invalid response".

I am running OSX on a macbook plus old 4.1 10.7 and iTunes is on 12.2 and my iPhone is on IOS 10. Whenever I plug my phone into my laptop I get the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone"iPhone"because an invalid response was received from the device." I tried to have a friend hook up his iPhone 5 and it says the same thing. I read online that I'll have to do a restore on my phone, but I can't save it up to my computer to do. I also tried completely uninstalling iTunes and install an earlier version, but she telling me I need to download the updated version, it won't let me do a backup. There is no damage or anything done to my USB slots or my phone port, they seem to work for everything else very well (Docking station, another USB compatible hardware, etc.)

I can't really lose all my information. I tried to use other applications (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.), but I just is not enough trust in them, and I don't know how to get all my stuff on my phone. If there is a way I can fully backup my phone to my computer, restore it and then throw it all away on it, it would be great. I would really like to itunes just to work as expected so. If you have information on how may fix this, or at least work around it, please let me know as soon as possible.

iOS9 or newer on a mobile device requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which in turn requires a computer running OSX 10.8.5 or higher. If she can run 10.8.5 or higher, you can either buy a download for Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion code online, or you can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM (4 GB is a minimum realistic and many recommend 8 GB).  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

A "synch" iTunes always means that the files will be copied to or removed from the device (iPhone) to match what is currently on the computer to iTunes (iMac)?    And not the other way around?     In other words, if my iPhone has a photo that does not exist on the iMac, the photo will be deleted from the iPhone when the two are in sync?  Thank you!!

  • Invalid configuration for the device 3

    Hi all

I have set up a lab nested with three hosts esxi and two warehouses of data connected with the Microsoft iscsi target server. I know nested vm is not supported, but I'm trying to implement this workshop because I support a real VMware environment and I wish I could test some things before I break anything, so it's important. I get this error when you try to create a virtual machine "invalid configuration for the device 3.  Someone knows how can I know where is the problem?

    Thank you

I think I can find the answer, it seems that it could be a windows problem causing data corruption. Somehow I created a VM but get all kinds of error trying to create an another VM.  Iscsi targets set up using windows server 2012 and it seems that there is a fix from Microsoft below which deals with corruption LUNs in windows 2012.  I have not yet tested, but this seems to be the right direction. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2908783

  • Satellite R630 - 130 missing Webcam from the device after Win7 Update Manager

Computer laptop only 6 days in use. After that Windows 7 update integrated webcam just disappeared from the Device Manager and, as a result that does not work.

System just can not find. New drivers did not help, as well the default BIOS setting. I even restored the system 6 days back - nothing like Web camera in the Device Manager.

This problem is common on the Internet - but there is not a lot of information on Google.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

I really wonder why the OS cannot recognize the webcam?  :|
Generally, if the driver or the software is not installed, you should see an unknown device, but as I understand your message, even this unknown device is not visible.

What to say try upgrading the BIOS, I read somewhere in the forum that the BIOS update can be useful in such a situation.
If this is not enough, try the new OS installation (recovery of the laptop) and check if the webcam seems once again

  • No Satellite Pro 6100 no response from the screen

    Can anyone help?

My 6100 Pro Satellite lit last night then automatically went into hibernation, despite being connected. Now when I turn it on there is no response from the screen, but if I plug a monitor to the laptop, the screen works (as long as I start in safe mode)

    Can anyone help?

    Hi Simon

Disconnect all cables from the laptop and remove the battery.
Wait a moment more (20 min) and reconnect the battery and the AC adapter.
Then check if the laptop turns on and if the display works fine

    Good luck
