ITunes links opens in the browser Chrome

There was a fix that has worked a long time ago, but it no longer works.  The old non-functional fix is below. Does anyone have one solution other than using a different browser to open the iTunes links?

  • Keep these instructions in a safe place and close all Chrome Windows.
  • [Open Windows Explorer and go on behalf of C:\Users\[USER] \AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\
  • Click view on the top menu > Options > view > show hidden files, folders and drives > OK.
  • Right click on the Local State file > open with > Notepad.
  • Press Ctrl + F and search for "itms" or "itmss". After that, it will say either "true" or "false".
  • Delete this section of the file (ie. Remove 'itmss': false) but do not close the Local State file.
  • Open Chrome and go to iTunes page (example).
  • Click view in iTunes and you'll see an external protocol request dialog box appear.
  • Check the box save and click Launch Application.

According to me, there was a Chrome extension that fixes this, but I can't find him.

  • Dynamic URL links open to the last installed only browser

    Hello

Whenever I use a hot link URL default is Windows open this link in what is the latest web browser, I have installed

-For example, I use Chrome but have installed Firefox also. Any link opens in Firefox never in Chrome. I recently installed Opera just to check and everything opens at the opera. Then I tried Internet Explorer and now everything opens in the browser only - never in others.

You can set the default browser used for links in the control panel.  Just highlight the browser you want to use and select "set this program as default.  Then it will be used for the opening of the links.

  • Possibility for the PDFS linked to be opened in the browser?

    Hello

I use 9 Captivate and I wonder if it's possible for a PDF linked to open separating it into PDF format, rather than in a new browser window.

For example, the PDF file has automatic update fields that are not updated when opened in the browser, but updates correctly when opened in Adobe Acrobat.

    Thank you

    Hello

To my knowledge, how any linked file opens or that is completely dependent on the end-user device and how it has been configured to process regardless of the file is.

I would be surprised to discover that you can influence exactly what happens when the user clicks on the link.

I don't believe in other words, you can force a specific behavior.

    See you soon... Rick

  • AdobeConnect open in the browser in firefox

    Hello

I am trying to open Adobe Connect in browser Firefox (on Mac, but generally on any OS).

It works in Safari and Chrome.

I was able to identify the issue when you run the following code.

    < h1 > Acrobat Connect Pro iframe test < / h1 >

    " < iframe src =" https://my.adobeconnect.com/yukochap?guestName=Antoine & [email protected] [email protected] "style =" width: 1000px; " height: 500px; » >

    < / iframe >

I have attached the code in a small document so that you can try yourself - test_adobe_connect.html. You will see my results as screenshots.

    (1) Firefox: does not work in the browser, works in the module

    (2) chrome: Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro plugin detected - open in the browser and automatically connected

    (3) safari: Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro plugin detected - open in the browser and automatically connected

I need the good url/attributes to open in the iframe to open adobe connect correctly.

Looking at the documentation, I couldn't find any clues.

    Thank you

Try adding & Launcher = false after login.

    For example: https://my.adobeconnect.com/yukochap?guestName=Antoine&launcher=false

Who will say Connect do not use the Add-in. If the add-in is available then it opens in its own window you see in FireFox.

  • Anyway to download a file directly from acrobat without him open in the browser.

I created a form of simple interactive command to our distributors. I intend to provide the form by e-mail, specifically of mailchimp. However, in mailchimp during binding to a file it will open in the browser. It is a problem because the Send button does not work correctly in some browsers, IE, Firefox and Chrome. Is it possible to download a file to your computer right in Acrobat, or y at - it a simple way I could program the file to download on the computer rather than the browser to mailchimp. I'm not a programmer, so I didn't know if it was an option or not.

    Thank you

Can't you just include the PDF file as an attachment to the email?

Usually, I go to the IB website and download the tws.jnlp file that opens in the browser web firefox. But now when I click on open it with the button in the Firefox browser, firefox browser opens a new tab and view the same open the window again.

Seems that, after the upgrade to 11.10, jnlp files will open with firefox instead of javaws (Java Web Start).
If you right-click on the file in the download folder and choose 'Open with', you can start web java manually.
    Bug in Ubuntu...

You can do a right click any .jnlp file and select 'Properties', go to 'Open with' tab, mark Sun Java 6 Web Start and click "set as default". Should fix. I don't know what will happen if you have java ubuntu by default instead of the Sun may be that it is not necessary.

  • Deny access to my SkyDrive workbook error: "workbook is greater than the maximum size of workbook can be opened in the browser.

Original title: deny access to my workbook to SkyDrive

I have a workbook stored in SkyDrive that I share with several co-workers. We had no problem sharing the workbook for the last two weeks, but this morning, we are all getting an error message saying "Workbook is larger than the maximum size of workbook can be opened in the browser" and cannot access it at all. It's a very important workbook we need on a daily basis at work, then I would greatly appreciate any advice you could provide!

  • HTML, defined as the chain opened in the browser of the device, and not internal webkit

I have the stupidest bug AIR here on iOS. HTML defined as string to StageWebView now open in the browser on the device with the URL like this http://adobe.13323422.apollo.air/

It doesn't happen on the device (iPhone or iPad), in the Simulator. Anyone?

Answering my own question where others stumble upon the same problem. I got my StageWebView a listener:

    htmlContainer.addEventListener(LocationChangeEvent.LOCATION_CHANGING, handleExternalUrl );

My problem was double. First of all, I had to check that property .location on the event passed to my handleExternalUrl handler object did not contain the string "apollo.air". No url should never contain a called .air TLD so this test never fail :-)

Secondly, I'm. preventDefault() and this has prevented other things happen as it should be in the application. Now works perfectly. It's still weird that this has occurred on iOS devices and not in the iOS and/or any other device Simulator.

  • Still, hypertext links do not open in default browser (Chrome) (new Win8.1)

I have a new laptop preloaded with Win8.1. Have set Chrome as default browser. Installed Thunderbird and everything seems to work fine until I click on a hyperlink in a message body... nothing happens. It was above all modules have been added. I read the article... help default configuration of browser - already configured. ... other items have been reviewed and I have not found any abnormality in my settings.

It seems quite strange that I have no problem on my desktop. Additional ideas for this problem? It gets a little irritating having to click - right "Copy link location" and then paste it into the address bar of Chrome.

    Toad Hall:
Network.protocol - handler.external - by default; value = true (no change not necessary)

I'm not yet familiar with how to configure the Chrome browser to the 'modern' or 'Metro '... interface I know that I welcomed a draft to run in the background during the first installation, don't know why. Anyway, I couldn't uninstall Chrome until I left this background app through the system tray. Once it was 'out', Windows allowed the uninstall.

Then I downloaded/installed Chrome. There is no dialog box or an option "configure the browser google chrome to also run from the subway start app window.

Then I went back in the previous steps in this thread to make sure that the settings are all good. They were all like configuration previously verified and confirmed. Then...

I started to the top of Thunderbird, selected a message with a link and clicked on it...

It load! My first thought is that the heel of the back can be the source of the problem, because that is the only difference with the previous configuration. Disable it could very well be the solution.

What is strange to me, is that during installation, Chrome has asked if he could run in the background and I said no, this time. But I decided to check the system tray and surprise!... He was the icon of Chrome, so I left it. THEN I started the Chrome for the first time after this new facility.

Wow! What a relief... I use E-mail a lot and clickable links to save a lot of time. I guess I could make diagnoses more to see if the solution is repeatable... but I'm a little tired and now I need to figure out why my new "Homegroup" network is not allowing network write access...

    Thank YOU Toad-Hall (and Matt)!

  • How do you prevent links in the VM to open in the browser in Mac OS

I'm under Fusion v3.1.3 (416484) on an iMac (OSx Lion). The virtual machine is Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

I run Firefox in instances of the Mac and Win, and they are set up as default browser to their respective OSS.

My problem is whenever I click on a link that is not in the browser, sometimes (my password manager or my e-mail client, etc.) in Windows, the page will load in FireFox Mac. When this happens, if I check FireFox of Win if it is the default browser or not, it detects that it is not. Him affecting as default suits him - but only temporarily. For the life of me, I can't understand what is causing the Mac FireFox to "steal" the Win of FireFox's default return status. It can become very frustrating!

How can't we 'steal' the default status of Win FireFox Mac? I want to Win FireFox to be the default for any act done in Windows and Mac in FireFox to be the default for any act done under Mac (and do not have to keep resetting of Win FireFox as default browser).

Thanks to anyone who can help me find my sanity!

Check the preferences on Fusion and your virtual machine.  I upgraded to Fusion 4, so I can't point directly to him, but it's a preference in there to see if clicking on the links (and I believe that opening some documents) in the virtual machine must be opened on the Mac instead of in the virtual machine.

  • Media downloads open in the browser

Recently, I noticed a quirk with the downloading of media. On the homepage of the thecompass.net of the site, the first image of rotation is linked to a file/PDF file that was transferred via FTP, and when you click it, the file opens in Safari and Chrome.

However, a link in the lower left corner that says "Download the Guide" is related to an element of documentation, which is also a PDF document, but was transferred via the media downloads feature, but when you click it, it will automatically download the file... it is not to open it in the browser.

No idea why these two links to a PDF file cause the browser to behave differently?

Supposed to be like that, because they are the elements of media if you look at the URL is a reference and no file extension so that the browser does not support it. This then allows a straight download and therefore allows to record stats for the download.

It is itended and wanted characteristic because if downloading media, you want to do just that, download the item not display in the browser

  • Click here to follow the link opens in the currently selected tab

    FF17.0.1 (also ff16)
Click here to follow the link (for example, a link in an email) opens in the currently selected FF window (which is a real pain) I don't know it used to open in a new tab
CTRL-click here to follow a link from MS word opens in the existing tab

Tools-> Options-> tabs-> open new window in a new tab is checked

I think I've had this problem before and done away with by unchecking this option, FF opening and closing and then new FF, however, if I try this, when I restart FF, the option is always checked. (Maybe a clue?)

The problem occurs if FF started in safe mode
It is not possible to ctrl-click on the link in outlook (I guess that OUtlook must deactivate that)
    I don't have a mouse with a central button

Make a right click Open in new tab works fine
Right click Open in a new window is fine

For links opened by an external program, you can use this pref to substitute the browser.link.open_newwindow pref if this pref is not the default of-1.

    • Browser.Link.open_newwindow.override.external
