  I'm curious, what exactly is your problem?

  The system requirements for PSE14 and ss14 requires Quick Time 7 on Win or Mac.

  I just checked that I had not installed on my PSE14 on 10 to win Quick Time 7. No problem, but I rarely videos, and I have other viewing software like VLC media player.

  Just out of curiosity, I installed Quick Time 7 without problem.

  Wouldn't be a problem with Premiere Elements or Mac?

  Use a WHERE clause to include only certain lines.

• Netflix is HD quality immediately, itunes movies take hours - WHY?

  Why do Itunes movies/tv shows that I buy or rent take hours to play, whereas Netflix can play in HD quality now?  I know that Netflix has adaptable download, but the quality of the shows/movies Netflix is HD (IE, netflix shows being do not appear in less good quality so this isn't the answer).  In fact we can play several different shows from Netflix on our ipads and via apple TV at the same time without any problems or no loss of quality.

  Is there a way to 'stream', while I don't have to wait for half the show/film download before I can start watching itunes purchases?

The first time, it took a week and the only thing they did was reinstall operating system... The second time they replaced the motherboard (at least they say, it has been replaced) and reinstalled the operating system. The problem still exists, and in my opinion they don't know what they are doing. After 4 months, faced with the question, I lost $2300, my patience and lots of time. Quo vadis HP?

  My laptop freezes from time to time, especially just after that is (re) starts. Most of the time the audio or the video freezes for a few seconds (any program I use), it affects everything else too (for example, when music freezes, google chrome will act weird as well), but I am able to move as much as I please.

  I looked around and tried a couple things that have helped others: off Link State Power Management; made sure all drivers have been updated; Uninstall Intel Rapid Storage Technology. Nothing seems to work here however.

  If all goes well, there is something else I could try before I have to go through the hassle of reinstalling windows 7 or get new hardware.

  I guess you do not reproduce this problem of gel.
  It very difficult to talk about issues that cannot be reproduced or occur occasionally.

  But you mentioned the 'file iastor in your ad.
  Iastor belongs to the Intel AHCI / RAID or SATA driver package.

  So I think that the problem is related to the HARD drive or the HARD disk controller.
  I recommend you update Intel® Matrix Storage Manager and Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver to the latest version (check page Intel).

  If this is insufficient, recover laptop using Toshiba recovery disc.
  In case this is not enough, you should check if the internal HARD drive might be the occasional reason for this system of freezing.
