  • stepupgrade windows vista business Japanese version for windows vista Ultimate edition

Recently, I bought a laptop in the Japan. The operating system is Windows Vista Business Japanese Version. I'm not familiar with the Japanese language and because of that I wanted to change it to English. I had discovered to find the way to put in place, but I found there was no way else to solve except buy a new Windows Vista with English Version or mine upgrade to Windows Vista ultimate. And I want to ask a question:
    1. is there anything else beside what I mentioned above?
    2. If I decided to buy a Step-Upgrade Vista Ultimate DVD Business, should I buy with the same language version with my Vista business, Japanese Version? Or is it fine with Step-setting level Vista Business to ultimate DVD English version anyway?
    3. Please show me how to change the display language after upgrade my Vista to Vista Ultimate!
    3. in the future, if there is a problem that I have to reinstall the OS, this DVD of Step - update allows again?

    Thank you for your attention.
I'm sorry, my English is not good enough, I hope that you will understand my questions.

    Best account.
    Louise

    Change language:

    1. to change your Vista professional Japanese language to English, you can buy a Japanese Vista Ultimate Upgrade disk/license.

Then download the English language through Windows Update as an option Pack.

Vista Ultimate upgrade must be done in the original language Vista came.

    2. your other Option is to buy a FULL Vista Business English version and do a clean install.

    3. If you want to reinstall, you need the original installation of business > Ultimate upgrade > re-download the optional updates in Windows English Language Pack...

    See you soon.

  • Switch menu Japanese to English on Windows Japanese

I installed VMware 7.1 pre-installed on the Japanese version of Windows 7 and all the menus have become Japanese I need English.

There are already two showing the issue in the past, but not solved.

It is not only VMware Workstation, but also vSphare customer 4. Before the release of vSphere Client remained English all the time, and I was happy.

It is also not only Windows 7 32/64 bit XP as well as Vista.

However if I install them when the system language is English, the menu English rest changing even in Japanese afterwards.

I don't know the language of the menu is on par with the language of the system during installation , but not the license.

My desire for a long time is to change the Japanese menu to English even after installation.

    Thank you

    For VMware Workstation, try running:

    VMware.exe en EI

If this does not work, you could try to remove (or temporarily rename) the file messages\ja in the folder of installation of VMware Workstation.

  • Copy the Contacts from Vista to Windows 7 Contacts Possible?

I have a new desktop under Windows 7 Home Premium. Before the death of my old desktop (Vista 32 Home Premium), I was able to copy my Contacts folder to a backup drive. Is Vista comes in contact with the same type of file as Windows 7 contacts? Is it possible to copy contacts from Vista to Windows 7 contacts folder? If this is not the case, how would I go about importing the contacts? Thank you!

    Hi Fallstar,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site.

You can import the information book or contact address of several formats used by other programs, convert them for use in this version of Windows and store them in your Contacts folder. You can also convert your contacts to other formats by exporting. Allows you to share them with people who use an earlier version of Windows or a different operating system.

However, you must download Windows Live Mail in order to perform the steps listed in method 1. To download windows live mail on windows 7 click on the link below.

    Windows Live Mail

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=56883de5-2024-4631-806e-757693072a1c#requirements

After installing windows live mail follow method 1.

    Method 1:

Follow the steps mentioned below to import contacts.

    1. open Windows Contacts by clicking on the button start then on your user name. Type of contacts in the address bar and press ENTER.

    2. on the toolbar, click Import, and then click one of the following formats to import contacts from:

o CSV (Comma Separated Values). It is a format of generic file used to export and import information to and from databases or spreadsheets. If you can't import an address book file directly into Windows Contacts, try everything first convert to a CSV file and then import this file.

o LDIF (LDAP server). This format is used to import information from LDAP directory servers directory.

o vCard (VCF file). This is the most widely used contacts format.

o the Windows address book file (Outlook Express contacts). This format (.wab file) is used by most earlier versions of Windows, including Windows XP.

    3. click on import, locate the contacts file you want to import, and then click Open. The new contacts should appear in your Contacts folder.

If you can't find the contacts file you want to import, see the documentation provided with the program that created the contacts or visit the manufacturer's website. You will need to export contacts from the program before you can import them into Windows Contacts.

    4. when a message appears telling you that the contacts import process has completed, click OK and then click Close.

For more information, see the article mentioned below.

Import, export, or change the format for contacts

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/import-export-or-change-the-format-for-contacts

    Or follow method 2.

    Method 2:

    1. in Vista, navigate to the folder C:\Users\(user name) \Contacts , and then copy all your contacts and groups of contacts to something (ex: DVD, USB drive, etc.) to copy in Windows 7.

(2 in Windows 7, copy the Vista contacts and groups of contacts in the folder C:\Users\(user name) \Contacts .

    Hope this information is useful.

    Thanks and regards.

  • ThinkPad t440p - how to change the language of "Thinkvantage System Update" from Japanese to English?

    Goodday

Is - it possible to change the installed language on "Thinkvantage System Update" from Japanese to English?

    Thank you! \m/

I think that something about configuration is left behind after uninstalling the existing version. I would try this:

New update uninstall in Control Panel.
    Restart the PC.

Then go into the folders SWTools, Program Files, Program Files (x 86) and the program data. Look for folders named "Lenovo" and related to the update system subfolders. You are looking for stuff that was left of the uninstall. Delete the subfolders.

Note, deleting stuff in the program data will probably take place in the system update, when you then run it, showing you all the stuff you've already seen and chosen to hide. The storage folder it is the record of all the things that the program sought on the Lenovo download site. So you'll have to decide again on all lists.

Once you have removed the remains, did not hurt to reboot once again and then go to the support page for the United States and the download system update it. Run the executable file and hope that it asks you the preferred language. See what's happening.

    Good luck.

WARNING: I'm just here improvise with that. The steps above are what I'd do.

There could also be that something flying in the Windows registry that is not removed, in which case you will have to search for it, too, but who knows how they are appointed. I don't.

Finally, you can always reinstall Windows and then load only these desired Lenovo applications. You can install the update system by itself - I do that - and not as a part of the whole of the suite of ThinkVantage tools and all that much more. I'm sure a reinstall of Windows and the applications manually should solve your problem, but it's a bit of work to do.

  • PCI-7334 with windows 7 possible?

    Hello

The specification says that the PCI-7334 is for windows NT / Windows 2000/XP, is it possible to work in windows 7 or vista? I want to give it a try.

    Thank you!

    Hi thitchen007,

It will work with Windows 7 and Vista, you need just the right software.  The 7334 uses the NO-Motion software.  Later, NEITHER Motion will work with Windows Vista and Windows 7.  It will also work with LabVIEW 2010 and later versions.  You can download the evaluation here: http://www.ni.com/gate/gb/GB_EVALMOTIONASSIS/US
