  I don't know if it will work, but given that Vista is 'kinda' like Win7 with permissions, make a right click the program icon to start PreEl. and, if the option is there, select run as administrator from the popup to option

  At least with Win7, using the run as Administrator option fixes some problems "weird"... and is NOT the same as BEING an administrator

  The tab looks like the image below? If so, did you not as a Java Update. Have you downloaded the update of Java on the Java site or elsewhere? It was expected that some less honest people would provide false updates to Java. If it looks like the image below, follow these steps:

  It seems that there is a startup item that runs when Windows is loaded.  Please be cleanboot your computer or disable the startup item to prevent it to load.  Here is a link that should prove beneficial.
