Java on a g7 Pavilion

Second time I posted this, but I can't find the original message.

I downloaded Java to allow using a feature of crossword puzzle on a web page. Whenever I try to open the site of crossword: I get a message that the security settings blocked a program (which I suppose is Java). What security settings are is it and how to change allow them Java run?

I tried (with absolutely no luck at all) to install JAVA on my HP Pavilion Desktop a6112n I get this error 25099 # decompression main files has failed. When I use qualys analysis on my system, the 32-bit java 6 version is coming as a risk and incompatible.

How does this relate to the features of Windows Update?

Problems with crash blue screen: seems to be a problem with the updates? Maybe w Java or updates from HP? Vista Ultimate on Hp Pavilion;

HP Pavilion dv6-1375dx: limited connectivity (not), wired or wireless HP Pavilion dv6-1375dx

Without internet (metered) either wired or wireless using HP Pavilion dv6-1375dx. Cables and other wireless devices work fine on a home network/router.

Found some flags on the NIC in "Device Manager" but uninstalled and reinstalled and flags went. All devices report now works without error.

Have tried to start in safe mode with network (without help).

Uninstalled the software Bitdefender Total Security 2016: malware, spyware, firewall, antivirus (without help).

Turn on the Windows Firewall WILL NOT!

Emptying the cache TCP/IP (without help).

Have tried msconfig (to eliminate any startup) and the minimal system of windows (without help).

Tried to update device drivers by downloading from another PC and copy the files (no help, even pilot).

Tried several fixes to 'Register' solutions (without help).

Scanned with several "fix connection" or adware/spyware/malware programs (without help).

Have tried all the above several times, so please do not contact me to "try again". If your idea is not new, it won't help.

I am subject to the point that I believe that the network card is bad, even if it makes good.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP BEFORE THAT THIS CELL PHONE FELL INTO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN!

HP Pavilion a6040a will not start

Hi guys,.

My Pavilion a6040a desktop running Vista home, does not start. All I get is a blank screen and a beep code (1 short, 1 long, pause, repeating endlessly). I can't run any recovery CD and I got up to the part where I have to take part in the troubleshooting guides (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/bph07107). However, I do not trust myself to remove, and will send a Tech if there is anything else I can do to solve the problem.

What happened in head upward to the accident:

Was functioning normally, do not try anything too demanding (just updated the client Java but I don't think that it would be the cause?)

Had a BSOD, restarted in safe mode, can't find the cause so restarted in normal mode to connect to the net.

An another BSOD a few hours later, restarted directly in the system recovery to run a diagnostic.

During the tests, the screen locked completely, and I had to force a shutdown.

Following this accident, the computer was unable to restart (see above).

Blue screens came too fast for me to read, and the error code that came after the first BSOD has been saved on the hard disk, which I cannot now access. If there is any other information that might help, I will try and provide them, keeping in mind, I can't have the system running at all to check the news!

Any help is very appreciated. My partner has an assignment for her master's degree due to a week and really needs the computer in place and running

Unplug the computer and open the computer and remove and reinstall the memory. It is as simple as simple can get.

Even if you have the open computer take care of blowing dust around the CPU. Just look at the pictures in the link I sent. It could be that a fan does not spin also. Before you replace the cover, Plug and turn to see if fans turn.

Desktop HP Pavilion pb-2310 - Internet form questions

My client has a brand new Pavilion pb-2310 running Windows 8 and rarely goes online. Recently, however, he tried to make purchases online through web forms complex, for example at Air France trying to make travel arrangements. Questions that there occur regardless of site web and browser. Although printed on the box of his computer says he is entitled to phone support free of charge for the first year after purchase, I was unable to find a phone number for support anywhere - without fees or other. Not on the box, booklet supplied with the PC and not to any of the sites web support not in the warranty and technical support. So I came here to ask for help - by someone who can give me the phone number, or by a person who recognizes this problem and knows how to guide me in troubleshooting/fixing.

Any time, he went to a web site where he needs to use a form - fill in the form fields, click buttons, etc. - things start well. It fills in the fields on the form without problem. Then it is time to click by 'next', 'continue' or 'send' button and everything grinds to stop. The screen and the form are block, it can capture is no longer in the fields, nor the commands buttons do not work. There is no separate window that is open and is perhaps hidden behind the browser window, he worked in.

Try to run version 10 Internet Explorer in compatibility mode.
1. On-screen 'metro' Windows 8 click on desktop (lower-left). Alternatively, use the Windows key + D.
2. Now start Internet Exployer.
3. Right mouse click on the bar very high and select menu. , You should now see a selection of tools will appear.
4. Click on tools and go down to the compatibility view settings.
5. Enter the web site that you want to run in compatibility mode. See the image below. Now try to access the site using IE from the desktop.

Pavilion a6430F desktop: cannot display this page

Read a recent post on "Apps does not connect to internet" and felt that I had a similar problem.

I am running Win7, SP1, 64-bit, on a desktop Pavilion a6430F with 6 GB of RAM on an AMD Phenom triple core processor. I frequently get "cannot display this page" on this machine on some pages.

This does not work on my laptop HP DV2620 old Win7 32bits or my most recent HP Slimline 400 Win8.1 64 bit machines running.

When I click on this link I get the "this page cannot be displayed" on the unity of 6430.

Is happening in other places, like the links recommended on research such as Ask or Google pages, albums, but this one lately not on the search page.

Accordingly, I find only a specific computer that deliver the 6430. Check a number of parameters against the DV2620 and apart from differences of 64/32 bit, all the settings in the following areas is the same: the settings of the firewall, internet options in the settings of compatibility, SmartScreen and IE11, withdraws. However this particular page is properly on the 2620.

I turned all add-ons, on and outside (separately or in the past), reinstalled Java to the latest version, also added the url to trusted sites, and remove and reinstall IE 11 completely (remove personal settings) with the feature of Control Panel... Don't know what else to try.

There is no unusual apps or software installed. And it has worked before. Now I don't know if a fix IE 11 Microsoft may have changed something?

Anyone who might have ideas, I'd be happy to exercise this operating system little more.

Well, is there more to this story than meets the eye... my eyes anyway. For those of you who like to do things to protect your computers, you can install an application called HOSTS BLOCK of MVPS.ORG. Beautiful small DNS utility of blocking that keep a little of the junk in the side frames to display in web pages. However, most of the reputable places have found ways to circumvent the blocking of the HOSTS file, so I don't see a lot of value for those who are really paying attention to their web browsing.

BLOCK HOSTS. I overlooked the possibilities this would be the source of the problem. But, as I reset the HOSTS file in windows > system32 > drivers > etc fashionable original and empty the cache DNS (run ipconfig/flushdns) the universe turned right upward and the error message no longer appears.

Also, you need to return the DNS services on 'automatic' If you choose to remove the MVPS HOSTS file.

It's easy to do in the command run by typing "services.msc" (without quotes) click OK at the prompt and get off at "DNS Client". Right click and select 'Properties' then click on the drop down arrow for "Startup type" and choose "automatic". Apply or OK, and then restart the computer. Pretty easy.

In any case, BH thank you for your help. After I thought about it, it was bit of a duh, but I guess it was easily overlooked.

BTW - if you want to continue to use the blocker HOST MVPS, there is a utility on the MVPs.org site called HOSTMAN who allows to turn the blocker host MVPS and disable. I have not installed or tried this, so I can't vouch for it. Maybe someone else can do?

Problem with Java?

I'm running on a HP Pavilion P7 1203 with the X 64 and I have a problem when I update Java.

After a charge down, I lose my printers (2) that the system will not access and a reboot of the system

does not start and goes to the last system backup in order to recover. This has happened 3 times so I don't know

It is updated to Java which gives me this problem.

Is there anyone who has this problem?

Hello rafbetty17. I understand that you are having problems to update Java.

Have you tried to completely uninstall and reinstall Java? It would be a good first step, because the problem is probably with the Updater and not Java itself. After uninstalling Java, you need to install this version.

computer portable Pavilion dm1 freezes after appearance of the Office

HP Pavilion dm1 mini laptop computer Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition. Freezes the shortly after the desktop appears - no response from any action of the mouse or the keyboard. Wireless signal-meter at the bottom right shows the circle of rotation and does not seem to connect, but turn off Wireless (button) has little effect. At the restoration of the system to return two updates. Antivirus software is uninstalled. Memory test OK. CHKDSK OK. Works perfectly in safe mode with network. No error message. No new software installed recently. Worked fine on October 7 - no symptoms of imminent failure. Can you suggest a next step?

The problem spontaneously resolved itself last night. After a week of troubleshooting and research, the laptop is not cold as it had been. Still, it worked fine in safe mode, but would freeze after Normal reboot. I have not changed anything in these last days, other than to restart several times, in SAFE and NORMAL mode. Finally this morning it worked normally without freezing during the night. Not sure that the problem could be. Made several updates to Java and Windows without problem.

Issues Java Update for a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have four Java applications. on my computer, three Java7 Java 6 and the other. J6 applications. are trademark (TM) but not the J7. Two of the applications. are 'Oracle' and two are from Sun MicroSystems. Inc. I'm fighting Pavilion to accept a new Java 6 Update of "Oracle America." Although my computer seems to work well, it began behaving oddly in a minor way, since I started to allow my suppliers of software automatically update their products. I need the name of the good free version of Java that I need to use 'House' and a link to get safe
I see that oracle offers quite a few versions of each version (ME, SE, EE, etc..)
I find the version free 'real' under the Oracle.com or the SunAmerica.com or the Java.com site
I see him online under: www.java.com/getjava/ but I have had viruses attack Java several times and I'm a little afraid of "scam offers.
