  I'm new to coding and am not sure how to ask my question. I have a link in an 'Email' symbol that I would like to have the window open to a 'mailto', but there are several instances of that symbol on the timeline, each using a different email address. If the [symbol]. Email.Click code reads as follows:

  and the line in the Stage.creationComplete code that is supposed to call the variable code reads:

  With this code, the browser opens a window of mailto, but the ' to: ' line readings, "indefinite".

• Problems with the filling of a text field with 2 other fields data

  
  I have 3 domains Tools_1a_pri, Tools_1a_pri_other, Tools_1a_pri_txt.

  Tools_1a_pri is a drop-down list box with a predefined list. One of the options is the 'other '.  If 'Other' is selected, the text Tools_1a_pri_other field becomes visible for users to enter the name of the other tool.

  The Tools_1a_pri_txt is a text field with a calculation that shows a text indicating that no tool has been selected or the Tools_1a_pri & or Tools_1a_pri_other.

  When I select one of the predefined tools, everything works.  When I choose the other, it seems that nothing has changed.  Must I click another field before.  It's confusing for the user.

  You have made the classic mistake of using the assignment operator in a statement instead of the comparison operator. Change this line:

  To do this:

  It would depend where SAL data. If it's on your page, then you could probably do something with javascript. If this isn't the case, you will need to do some Ajax to retrieve the value of the database. Take a look on: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:80

  Your select list can include the ENAME and SAL and your javascript values existing would then just divide the data into two parts and insert them into the appropriate fields.

• Fill in the text field when TWO radio button is unchecked

  I don't know anything about javascript and need help.  I have a photography contract I want to offer a "discount package" of $50 when the two services will be used.  1 service is 'Photography coverage' and Service 2 'Photo Booth Rental'.

  Text field 1 = subtotal (calculates the values of checkbox and radio button)

  Text field 2 = discount (it's where I need help.  I would like this automatically filled with $50 when my default two boxes are not selected.  But only when the TWO are not selected)

  Text field 3 = Total (which has a basic calculation of the Subtotal-Discount)

  The services of two by default (it's done on purpose, I checked from the beginning) are both set to the '0' values to keep the subtotal $ 0.  If the client will use a service (which means one of the default selections will be selected), then there will be no discount, but if they decide to use photography and the cabin, they save $50.

  Can someone please help me to write a script for the text field, Discount calculation, to accomplish what I ask?

  

  You can use something like what the calculation script custom field discount:

  Simply adjust the field names in the code to match the real in your file.

  I have a form with multiple pages. The first page contains a number of drop-down lists. These lists, drop-down list when the option is chosen, must complete a field text on another page. I can get the drop down menu to populate the text field when it is on the same page, but as soon as I move the text field to another page, the script does not work. Can anyone offer a solution? I used javascript on the changes to the scripts.

  Every time reference you the other object... so I guess in the code located on the DDlist.

  I guess you are trying to fill out the PDF using Adobe Reader. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

  If so, this form can not be Reader rights enabled. Adobe Reader is a single PDF reading software is only meant to read and save a blank copy of the PDF. If you want to change something in the PDF file, then the creator has enable user rights (commonly called player to extend rights) so that you can save the completed PDF file. This can be done by Adobe Acrobat.

  I would ask you to kindly contact the author of the PDF file to allow the user rights and send it again.

  First you must put the code I provided in a special level of the Acrobat application folder and then restart Acrobat or Reader.

  Then, in your form field, you can use the following code in the "custom javascript calculation:

  Note the capitalization of the word 'identity '.

  I am filling a second field (: P11_COPY) with a (share) value for the same table of PATIENTS, but don't really understand how the: P11_CCSS_STATUS field is filled in from the application process.
  
  If I understand the request of the share in the application process, then it is appended to the value CCSS_STATUS and appears in the: P11_CCSS_STATUS text element.

  I have a drop down that is filled from one selection of another menu drop down menu using the addItem script. This new drop-down menu will have only two values.

  Is it possible for a text field is filled with the "unselected" value in the menu drop-down?

  I have attached the document here. Text fields will replace the A - G labeled drop-down lists on the lower part of the doc.

  I changed the "A" in a drop-down list of a textfield and changed the SOM in the script.

  The main search script is in DropDownList4.

  I moved your script addItem event entry in the preOpen event, which is better to fill drop-down lists. Also have a look at the script, because I put these two addItems, 0 and 1 values.  This means that the user sees the team names, but the script can then reference the bound values.

  The new script is in the case of release of the first game. It looks like the value of the selected item in the drop-down list and then fills the 'A' with the other name for the teams.

  I have a very interesting thing happening in my APEX (4.0.1) application.
  
  I have problems with a text field, because when I insert the text 'aaaaa' and send the page, the text is transformed in "Aaa£ aa.
  After some time trying to understand the game characters and translations and etc, I realized that this thing happened in some pages.
  
  Then, I started to remove components of the page where it happens and I discovered that what initially is an element to browse file...
  Every time I have send the page, if there is an element of browse file created on the page, the text is changed. If I delete the queue item browse, when submitting the page, the text remains correct.
  
  Is it supposed to work like this? And if yes, why is it?

  No, of course not.

  Of one of your previous posts, it seems that you use the APEX? If so, similar problems have been reported a number of times before: + {: identifier of the thread = 1104224} + suggests a fix.

• Fill out the form via code data when the document opens. Possible with the player?

  Via JavaScript, VBScript, OLE, DDE, SharePoint, anything?

  Adobe LiveCycle ES4 is the only way?

  util.readFileIntoStream - is the only way I found to consume external data from reader without buy LiveCycle.

  I would like to be able to invite the user to fill one of two text fields, if for example they fill in A text field, then no guest would jump to the top, but if they don't fill in the text field then a prompt would leap upward by asking them to fill out the text field B.

  One way would be to place a JavaScript in the output of TextFieldA event:

  However this fires when the user leaves TextFieldA. You may need extra script if it is likely that the user is not yet in this text field.
