  Culver99, it's because of your license of CS6 continued to be applied to your copy of Photoshop.  For future viewers of this thread, you can also choose Help > deactivate to deactivate your license.  When you reopen the application, you can then choose the license this software and enter the Adobe ID linked to your creative cloud subscription.

  I'm buying a new PC for the company that I work. We use CS6 which is installed on a macbook pro, but you want to transfer it to the new PC when it arrives.

  I read a similar thread where the original poster has been advised that the only options are to purchase a new license or join the cloud. Obviously in an ideal world, we would like to avoid buying more once again, so what I am asking is some general instructions on how to reach the cloud and complete the process as well as the confirmation that it is the best path to take.

  Method 1

  Check and make sure that you have followed the method to allow the game through the protection of execution of data (DEP) below.

  You will need to enable the touchpad on the laptop itself.

  Find the area of the touch pad, you will find a button to enable or disable the touchpad.

  If the step above doesn't, try this step.

  Go to control panel > mouse > device settings tab
  Click (or to disable)

  

  Notes:
  On some models, there is a keyboard shortcut to enable or disable the touchpad. For example, ACER, just do Fn + F7.
  You can click on Reset device if none of these solutions work.

  If you still can't touch pad to work, you will need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer for more information.
