Install the SMTP connector on the exchange cluster

403 (voicemail only) failover with exchange cluster unit 2 k. We want to install the SMTP connector on this system to communicate with the other unit 403 (Exchange UM offbox 55) server, which is not on the same directory. How to install SMTP connector in exchange cluster? The document of networking seems doesn't have this part. Thank you

Instead of SMTP connector, you can hear the voice connector? Unfortunately, the voice connector does not work on an Exchange Server that is in a cluster.

Microsoft does not support the connectors from third on an Exchange cluster server. The only solution is to install the connector on the voice on an Exchange Server that is not in the cluster.

This limitation is documented here: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/unity40/net/net403/ex/net_e300.htm#wp1048114.

Wish I had better news for you.

I checked the path specified and the file is not located there, however, watching another installation of windows 7, the file is missing from this situation as well, but works very well.

Since PowerShell V2 is already installed, of course it cannot be reinstalled.  I tried to run a repair with the DVD of Windows 7, but as it is patched SP1, the original disc does not work.  Nor will re-apply the Service Pack.

About abandoned on the installation of exchange tools and will likely be on a different computer, but would be nice to have powershell works again.

  • Is VM Workstation, possible to configure a San without having a SAN for the Exchange Cluster?

    Hi all

I am looking to set up a virtual lab cluster Exchange 2003 and I said it is possible to configure a SAN storage type in VM Workstation without actually have a SAN (as my test budget is, finally, zero).

Anyone done this before? I have a decent size usb storage device...

The quorum disk must be on a drive shared (s), another VM server with shared drive would be good enough to make it work?

    Hello

There are several ready to use of virtual machines that can be downloaded which can help you

an example is a virtual SAN Sun

    http://www.Sun.com/storage/disk_systems/unified_storage/resources.jsp

or you can watch Openfiler or FreeNAS.

A completely different approach would be to use iSCSI - you may install for example Starwind on your host and then using the USB drive as an iSCSI SAN

  • Extra deposit after the addition of the exchange e-mail account

After I added my email account to work, exchange for my 5s, I now need a long password to unlock the screen, I can't use the old 4-digit code. I can still use fingerprints, but it can be annoying. How to solve this?

Delete the exchange account. What has happened is by installing the exchange account, your employer system has eliminated the certificate of your phone company security policy and which is too on the default security settings to meet the requirements of business for mobile devices security.  If you want to use this exchange account, you have no choice but to accept the profile of enterprise security settings. Otherwise, the only way to restore the default settings is to delete the account.

  • Disable the execution of the tasks for the Exchange Connector

    EIS,

We use the Exchange for IOM connector and use almost all of the features of the connector. However, some of the processes on the process for the Exchange user form is not currently in use and will never be used. How can we remove these tasks of process safe? Is it fair to delete all the tasks? If someone else tried it? There is no documentation for this on the connector itself, that's why I am posting this here.

For example, the named taks process:

    • 'Keep deleted updated default items'
    • "Database update"

These are things we do not want to be triggered. We tried just renaming the ("Updated_disabled of the database") - but this obvisouly does not work.

Is it fair to remove stains and we're home free? No internal configuration anywhere required by the Exchange Connector?

    Kind regards

    Vegard

There are a lot of posts here on the triggers and spread. You kept the format of update " Update" by adding the change at the end of the task instead of starting name. This will result in ongoing triggers the task.

  • How to install DSO on the shared cluster no

I am trying to build Oracle RAC on the shared cluster No.
The cluster has multiple nodes and each node has a disc. (normal shared nothing cluster)

Before you install Oracle Database and RAC, I tried to install Oracle Grid Infrastructure
    based on the guide. < http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/portal.portal_db?selected=11 >
As you know, Oracle Database is a shared disk architecture, so I want to create a (virtual) shared disk to ASM,
but I don't really understand how.

The Oracle Grid Infrastructure installation program has a node in defining, but only looking at disks on the node of the installer.
Also, seems that Setup installs only one instance of AMS on the Installer node.
What I want to do is install on each node of the ASM instance and connect them to create a shared disk.
Is it possible to do so by the installer?
Or is it possible to do it manually?
I'll be very appreciated if someone gives me guides to follow to get there.

    Thanks in advance.

So, is it possible to install Oracle RAC on a cluster without sharing?

    N °

Oracle RAC can run on a distributed as lustre file system?

    Yes. But not recommended.

I first thought that OCFS is a file system distributed as gloss as aggreates local disks on a shared nothing cluster and create a virtual view of the disks but it is fake, right?

Yes. OCFS is used on a shared cluster storage (scsi devices seen by all nodes in the cluster) to present as a cooked file system storage. Not recommended to use Oracle RAC.

Oracle RAC is a single physical database, residing on the shared storage. Each cluster node has an instance of database engine that rises and opens this same database. Interconnection allows you to basically share the memory of these nodes (share data in memory cache and communicate with each other).

The end result is a commune-all the cluster. The complete database is available on each node in the cluster.

The key components for CARS are the interconnection and the shared storage.

The recommended interface is Infiniband (QDR/40 GB) - or, failing that, GigEthernet (10 GB). Low latency is critical for performance as cluster logical I/O is done essentially in this infrastructure, and it must be much faster than the physical i/o over the layer of fabric I/O. In other words, it's the kind of stupid to use 1 Gb Ethernet for interconnection and then channels shared double fiber 2 GB by access to the storage node.

Shared storage is the next component. The most common is to a storage array that provides the fiber channel connectivity (e.g., EMC and others). HBA (double fiber ports) cards are installed per server and connected to the switch of storage host. LUNs are published for these HBAs and all the server nodes can see the same set of table storare lun. MPIO (assuming that Linux) is used to deal with the multiple paths of I/O (via dual fiber channel ports) to the LUN.

Another option is Infiniband connectivity and use the SRP Protocol (Scsi access remote direct memory access Protocol). Exactly looks the same conceptually than the fibre channel option, but simply travels Infiniband. Fibre channel is currently at close to 8 Gbps max I think. InfiniBand QDR (Quad Data Rate) provides 40 Gb/s. It is also what produces RAC Oracle h/w called Exadata Database Machine uses (the fastest CARS currently available h/s).

Other options use iSCSI for example - storage over Ethernet. But this requires at least 10 GB GigE a private network dedicated to your layer of fabric I/O. If you think that any decent kind of performance from him.

Then come the R & D. virtualization approaches - run 2 virtual machines on the same hardware and provide storage shared for these virtual machines (you can for example provide access to systems of comments directly to the device host system scsi drives gross). Or you can use Firewire 800 and a 1 TB drive wire to both RAC nodes firewire, the Firewire shared storage drive.

Performance and robustness of oracle RAC are directly related to the architecture of interconnection and the shared storage. So if you are planning to hack which (such as the use of a system of files distributed like chandelier), don't wait not performance or a robust CARS. Or Oracle Support.

  • El Capitan Upgrade - cannot verify the password for the Exchange e-mail account

    Hello

My email accounts all worked very well until I installed at El Capitan. Since the upgrade yesterday, I can't access any of my email on the mail accounts. It is one of my Exchange accounts and invites me to check the password and then fails to check. I looked everywhere to try to understand why it won't work but am running out of ideas. I have another exchange account which seems to work very well. I checked all the settings and don't see anything wrong anywhere. Can someone help please I need access to this account (OH and it works fine on my iPhone)

    Thank you

Delete the Exchange account, and then add it again. It is possible that you will need to do additional work to fix, but this easy option first.

  • Is it possible to install the second disk in Satellite A300-15 a PSAJ4E

    Hello!

    I just bought Satellite A300-15A (PSAJ4E).
I read in some reviews that these models have an empty space for an additional HARD drive, but that some models do not have an additional connector for a second HDD.

I wonder if it is possible to install the second HARD drive in my A300-15 has.

    Thank you!

    Hello Ivo

To be clear: A300 laptop come with a few different hardware configurations. Some of them with one and some of them with two hard drives. The plastic case is the same for all models of laptops and you can find room for the second HARD drive, but the motherboard is not the same and not stretch with the second HARD drive.

Remove the cover from the HARD drive to the second HARD drive and let us know if the HARD drive connector is available.
I'm sure that there is no connector.

  • Satellite A500 PSAR9E. Someone tryied to install the SSD to conn JSSD?

    Hello!

Now my satellite A500 is completely disassembled and I am looking for what is inside and what is possible to upgrade. The most interesting for me is jssd connector on the bottom of the motherboard.

This information was already mentioned on toshiba American forum but has not ended.
It's someone who's been tryied/successedid to install the ssd drive to this place or this connection is physically disabled by the BIOS of the motherboard?

And including this interface mSATA 1.8 inches?

I myself want to try this connection if I find this ssd or the usual sata interface cable.

If the micro SATA port is available on the motherboard, the interface should work.
But there is a question open about the BIOS. If the BIOS would not provide support for the micro SATA, then new SSD connected would be not recognized
However, I have not found useful information on BIOS support...

  • How can I install the 2nd HDD on my Satellite P200 - 14H

    Hello
I want to know, how can I install the 2nd hard disk on my Satellite P200 - 14H and what I have to buy, because when I open the 2nd hdd slot, so I don't see anything about what I could add the 2nd disc

    Thanks, Filip

    Hello

Maybe you don't see the second HARD drive connectors because the phone does not support the 2nd HARD drive?
Not all laptops even if the 2nd HARD drive Bay is available, support two hard drives.
Laptops come with different hardware and different motherboards, but with the same coverage
So the bays for HARD drives are available, but the motherboard does not support the 2nd HARD drive interface.

    Welcome them

  • Pre complains about SSL certificate on the exchange server

Hello.  I just got a pre and tries to set up to communicate with an exchnage server.  Pre complains and will not set up the connection with this error message: «"SSL certificate error.» Is the date and time correct? ».  The date and time are correct, but the server is running a self signed certificate.  This causes no problems with iPhones that use a lot of people here.

How can I fix it?  It is not all parameters for this problem.

I spent the weekend trying to test and understand what was going on.  I found that if I nominated the e-mail server (name after HTTPS: / / in Setup) the same as the name of certificate displayed in the Certificate Manager (Launcher > Device Info > more info > Menu > Certificate Manager), the error should disappear.  The problem for me was that the name of cert in cert Manager was different from address of mail server (in my case server. [domain .local] instead of mail. ([Domain_name] .com).  The transformation it seems to use is:

    (1) find the certificate...

    (2) CN is HTTPS: / / in the installer?

    (3) If no, use error 'Verify the certificate, date and time not correct' (or whatever it is) - If Yes, go to HTTPS: / /.

    (4) Exchange requires safety pin?  If no, proceed to synchronize - if so, use error "unsupported of security policies.

So I looked more closely CERT and it held several common names (CN) for the cert.  It seems that ANY OTHER DEVICE can filter through the list of common names, and use the one that works.  The Pre uses only (whether first or last, I don't know).

So, there are two options for the certificate problem (I guess the 3rd is that you can return the phone):

    FIRST SOLUTION

    =====================

    (1) check the name of cert in cert Manager.

    (2) if it is a name that can be resolved DNS (i.e.  [mail]. [mywebsite]. [com]) then change this setting in your exchange installation program in the mail server field beside the HTTPS: / /.

This will only fix it if your COMPUTER administrator has with permissions on the used field.  It is possible that an alias is used on other areas

SECOND SOLUTION (as I have done)

    =================================

    (1) ensure that your Certification Authority is installed.  You can do it by clicking START > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > CERTIFICATION AUTHORITY - OR - on a computer on your network using IE/Safari/Firefox and typing http://server/certsrv.  If the page is found, then you are installed, if not, then you will need to have installed.

NOTE: SBS 2003 WILL AWARD A CERT TO THE IIS WITHOUT THE ROOT CA.  THIS SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM WITH THE AUTO CERTS GENERATED I HAD

    (2) If you have not installed it, go to this topic, it is well written to get step by step instructions how to install, create demand for cert, create the cert and install the cert (it took me about 30 min).   http://www.MSExchange.org/tutorials/SSL_Enabling_OWA_2003.html

NOTE: IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A CERT ON IIS, YOU NEED TO REMOVE IT AS IT IS "DEFECTIVE" CERT BEFORE YOU CAN REQUEST A NEW CERTIFICATE.  YOU MAY BE ABLE TO REINSTALL OVER THE NEW CERT, BUT I DON'T KNOW

    (3) open https://mail.domain.com/exchange on your computer - display details of the cert and save the file on your desktop - if you are using a laptop, you can also install it on your laptop to use for use outside the Office (this is also a good back-up that you can use to get more later if needed again).

    (4) plug your pre in USB mode.

    (5) slide the cert and unplug the USB cable

    (6) go to cert Manager

    7) tap on the icon of "Sun" at the bottom left

    (8) press on the new file cert that you save in USB mode

    (9) to confirm that the new cert appears with the name of the correct mail server

    10) go to the e-mail program and configure the exchange account

The above will create a REAL root cert (not IIS domain root Cert) that the Pre can work with.

Really, I don't know that how/why Palm overlooked this possibility because they claimed so-called does not want to sell to companies who need strict security requirements.  For me, it means a small / medium company that has limited IT supports (according to the needs, pay as you or green guy with limited knowledge).  Then, why they test the GER in this environment, I'm not sure.  I bet they were tested on their own network, which has all the correct methods, best practices for the management of cert.  I guess it's like the developers that they have offended and almost lost their support until turned it over and said: 'sorry, we really want make you programs for our platform WebOS. ".  We've just been paranoid for so long salivate us when the bell rings. "They just didn't beta test this well enough.  The sad result of this is that Sprint will have to address all of the sheets because this certificate simple reading process was given only minimal recognition capabilities.

But having said that - I'm now completely in love with my pre!

I'm happy to try to help if you need it.  I found a lot of the forum of solutions were not enough detailed, so do not hesitate to contact.

    Hello

You need two cables, one is a sata cable:

    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/30305659/706331346/STARTech-com-6in-SATA-to-right-angle-SATA-serial-ATA-cable-female-SATA-female-SATA-6-inch-red/ListingDetails.html?_%24JA=TSID:13315% 7Ccat: 30305659% 7Cprd: 30305659 & kw = {keyword}

This cable is only for data and connect the hard drive to the SATA connector on the motherboard.

    The other cable is energy:

    http://www.itpartsdirect.com/STARTech-15-24cm-4-pin-Molex-to-SATA-power-cable-adaptor.html

It connects the hard drive to the PSU.

You can also buy a combo like this cable:

    http://www.Amazon.co.UK/DP/B00064GBT4/?tag=hydra0b-21&hvadid=9550951989&ref=asc_df_B00064GBT4

All you have to do is to connect the hard drive and that's it. Make sure that the main drive with the operating system is connected to the primary SATA connector (I think there are the numbers 1, 2, 3...)

  • Problems installing the 4-DVD set 2013

I am trying to install LabVIEW 2013, with the real-time Module, DAQmx and a few toolboxes Vision module, using a Kit of Distribution 4 - DVD.  I use the feature very attractive who appeared in the 2012 LabVIEW Distribution Kit - when you put it in the DVD - 1, it shows you all the available Toolkits and Modules.  You can check as many as you need, and he moved between them, apparently to 'DVD-order' (i.e. DVD-1, then DVD-2, then 3-DVD, then DVD - 4).

The problem is that when you finish and reboot your PC, the Services NOR critics (who could have been present before installation) are missing, leading to a behavior very interesting, one-power-say "buggy".

According to engineers of NOR, I'm not the only one who saw the specific results after installing LabVIEW 2013.  In my case, I installed LabVIEW 2013 on 4 PC, all with at least 2012 present LabVIEW on a previous installation (and work fine before installing LabVIEW 2013).  A PC continued to operate properly after installation of 2013, but the other three were absent OR Services.

After some tests, I realized how to install LabVIEW 2013 to avoid losing services - simply go back to recommended practices OR installation, I used in most earlier versions of LabVIEW.  Instead of taking the 'shortened' to specify all the packages to install both, one-at-a-time installation packages, in the following order (at least, this prescription "worked for me") - LabVIEW, the Time Module, any Module, all Toolkits, DAQmx, and device drivers.  After that each piece is installed, allows the system to reboot if it is said that he needs to do.

Watching the process carefully, I see that some installation steps "kill" LabVIEW services, but the subsequent reboot brings back them (and sometimes add new services).  I suspect that the method of the "all-at-once", which has only a single reboot at the end, somehow fails to resurrect killed service, leaving a paralyzed installation.

Making an installation package is both slower, involves the exchange of DVD much more, but seems to work.  I sent my comments to OR, and they are working on the issue.

    Bob Schor

OR just released update 1 for 2013 LabVIEW that solves the problem by doing an 'All-in-one' of 2013 installation, according to me.  In particular, he seems to reinstall the Service Locator Service.  I'm largely 'patched manually' most of my systems, but I think I've seen one of my non-working fixed PC.
