JPEG files in first getting mixed up in a project

JPEG files in my project are merge.  It's like the first cannot mean that loading the files apart. In other words, I load multiple JPEG files to the project, each with a different file name, put on the timeline, and, later, when I click on the name of the file in the project Panel, several different files display the same image of one of the images JPEG in the poster frame, the Source image and in the sequence of project.   The file remain of names listed in the Panel project continues to display the correct file name, but several selected even when picture show.

I assumed that something happened when the files have been imported and are now combined in the project.  To try to solve this problem, I erased all the bad files out the timeline and the output of the project Panel.  Changed the names of source files in Windows Explorer (i.e., added an 'a' in the name of the file) and re-imported files in first.  It seems to work, but a few moments later, some of the same files, as well as some new files imported, all turned to the same image again.  I repeated again the process of compensation for the wrong files, changed the names of source file once more in Windows Explorer, changed the name of the folder in Explorer and re-imported the files to the first again.  Once again, after some time, several of the files everything had changed to the same image on the timeline, the Source image and the poster frame.

It's as if the program has somehow confused these files and what caused the mixture to the top, rest persist even with files that have been renamed.

This occurs in about 20 JPEGs out perhaps 70 JPEG images in the project.  It only happened on previous projects.

I can't tell if my first (5.0.3) was corrupted somehow, or if this error is limited to this project.  Is there a way I can transfer my work in a new project (I really want to have to start completely).

I'm quite desperate.  Thank you!

-Dave

The iPad does not support USB keys. There are some wireless flash drives that can be used, but not the classical records. I suggest you transfer files to a computer and their synchronization then back to the iPad via iTunes.

Try these steps and check the result.
Step 1: Check if a non-Microsoft program is the cause
    a. open the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353
    b. method 2, follow steps 1 and 2, and then restart the computer to see if the problem persists.
    c. If the problem does not persist in the boot, then follow step 3 and step 4 to find out which is the origin of the problem, and once you have found the culprit, uninstall the program and check the result.

    Hello

We would like to provide you with more information about the issue by answering the questions below:

  • Some JPEG files seem to download very well, but are rendered incompletely.

Some JPEG files seem to be well uploaded by Firefox, but they do not completely. A progressive JPEG will remain very rough and no progressive JPEG will be missing the lower part. Of all the things I tried, I think maybe it's a bug of rendering in Firefox. More precisely:

    • The images are downloaded properly. The page loading stalls not but join immediately. If I click with the right button on the image and click "View image", he appears completely. If I open the media dialogue information Page tab and look at the picture, it appears quite as well. More curiously, if I use the eyedropper color tool and hover where the rest of the image * should * be, it displays the actual image pixels in the raster and also returns the value of the color of the image in pixels, while the main browser window always makes these regions as being transparent. I added a snapshot of the species to this post. Therefore, the problem also doesn't seem to be a problem of CSS/layout of the page (the Page Inspector shows the img block correctly).
    • Clears all data cache and cookies, then by restarting Firefox in safe mode does not make a difference. I even installed a vanilla Firefox to a new virtual machine and had the same problem when opening these pages. Other browsers (tested: Opera, Chrome, IE) do not show the same problem.
    • Reload with forced renewal cache (Ctrl + Shift + R) most often does not change the rendering of the image, but will rarely showing either more or less incomplete than before.
    • I can see the issue going on with two images on two separate pages. I re-encoded them using different software and different settings, but the problem persists, then it doesn't seem to be a problem of corrupted images.
    • I created an example of a toy to try to reproduce the problem: a same page with a different image, created specifically to try to trigger the problem. What I've found, is that the issue is triggered when the JPEG file above a certain minimum size (somewhere between 15 and 40 KB). What seems to be the rendering of the image in the main window stops after the reading of the image up to a certain length. Once again, the image seems well to be loaded into the cache and memory completely as evidenced by the display when you use the view image, or information Page.

I made three versions of the test page to try to reproduce the problem. Image of the first page is 11KO and always seems to go completely. Images of the second and third page are respectively 102 kB and 107 KB in size and will be usually incompletely. The image on page 2 use the progressive encoding, so the image will end up blurred. The image on page 3 use straight coding, so the image will eventually be rendered with the bottom part missing.

So far, I'm not sure why only, I encountered this problem on a specific Web site pages. Something must be the trigger, but it doesn't seem to be a problem with the server, the page or images.

Update: I introduced the site at Browsershots, asking for Firefox 35.0 renderings and a previous version for each of the Windows, Linux and Mac. Unfortunately, the renditions for Mac failed. As for the others, none of the versions pre-35, 0 present the display problem, and it is not present in Firefox on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 35.0, but appears on Firefox on Windows 2008 R2 35.0.
Here is the URL of the test pages where you want to check yourself: (darkened circles be transparent)

    http://www.abgase.org/firefox_debug.html (11kB, no problem)
    http://www.abgase.org/firefox_debug2.html (Progressive 102KO)
    http://www.abgase.org/firefox_debug3.html (no progressive 107KO)

(Do Ctrl + Shift + R repeatedly if the question does not seem to show, to be sure. If by any chance I can get it to render properly, it will fail again after that 2-3 charging at the most.

I did have a lot of time lately to make studying more. However, since the upgrade to Firefox 36 a few days ago, I can reproduce is no longer the question. This was confirmed during the audit on all my other Windows systems running Firefox: image rendering is usually interrupted when loading pages on Firefox 35.x, but still fine finishes after upgrade to Firefox 36.x.

This problem can be considered resolved, that the bug seems to have been given to v35 only.

I couldn't find anything relevant in the changelog of 36 of Firefox, but also found two Bugzilla reports that could have described the same problem, both claim that the problem goes away when you use v34 and/or v36:

#1125789: image full size is only partially displayed
#1126707: Firefox 35, MAC and PC image rendering problems

  • Error unknown 0x88982F50 when you try to change the properties of a JPEG file in the Windows Photo Gallery

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack1 and use Windows Photo Gallery to managemy photos. I like the fact that I can integrate tags and ratings in JPEG files.

I just noticed though, that the tag is no longer to be stored in the JPEG file. I know because when I saw the properties of the file tag information I have in the Windows Photo Gallery is not present. If I try to change the properties directly, I get an error message stating:

An unexpected error prevented the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem: 0x88982F50 error: No. Error Description available.

    I checked the file isn't read-only etc.

I searched Microsoft.com for this error and have found no help. I searched the internet and have seen many forums to raise this issue, but I can't find a solution.

Note that when I try to fix an image in Windows (eye of harvest/red etc.) Photo Gallery, I also get an error that says I can't save the changes.

For me, it looks like a component is faulty or missing, but how is it resolved?

    Hi RealPaulus,

    Solution for error 0x88982F50:

    2. click on the processes tab, along the upper part of the task
    Manager screen.

    3. in the processes tab, select the corresponding button at the bottom left
of the screen that says "show processes from all users".
and click on it. Click on 'Continue' in the UAC prompt that
    rises.

    4. the screen should turns off a moment, and then return with

Read the description in the next section on:

Windows Media Sharing Service reader network

    5. click on this process. Click the end «»
Treat button"at the bottom right of the screen.
    Confirm 'End process' if necessary.

6 perform the steps 1-5 before opening a Windows Explorer
window for the first time in the current session.

Eliminate that a will of the Task Manager process
Restore Windows Explorer ability to 'see' as well as

  • Masses of jpeg files, unwanted in "recently changed".

Masses of jpeg files, unwanted in "recently changed".  Impossible to delete, get the message that they are no longer at this location.  Where did they come from?  How can I get rid of them?

Do you mean recent items on the Start Menu, or do you mean C:\Users\\Recent?  Are these these files recognize you or are they all strange to you?  I don't know where they came from-maybe there was a mistake in the Vista program or maybe they came to the temporary internet files or it could be a variety of reasons - it is very difficult to say.  It would be useful to know if you all recognize.

First of all, I would make sure that the original files are all where they are supposed to be and do not have somehow been transferred.

Try using one of the following free products to remove the files.  Unlocker to:http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml or file Assassin http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin.php (with or without forcing the deletion: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/27/force-delete-cannot-delete-locked-or-in-used-files-or-folders-with-fileassassin/). These programs often work when normal functions remove Vista not work correctly.  After back if none of these programs does not work to remove the files either.

I do one and then confirm that it has been also removed from its normal location.  Then try a couple just to be safe.  Once you are sure that the originals are not as well removed, then you can delete everything else.  If the originals ARE deleted, we have a different problem.  Post back and we'll try to solve it.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to create a pdf of a large jpeg file

I'm trying to convert a jpeg to 20 MB PDF file using acrobat, but I get an error that says that the file is not supported or is corrupted or damaged file. However, I can open the JPEG in photoshop and windows image viewer.

Why not convert it into photoshop, you ask? This is because whenever I try to save a large file in pdf in photoshop, I get a corrupted file. I get the "not enough memory" error when I try to open the file.

The 20 MB jpeg file was originally a psd file, saved as jpeg and now be converted to PDF. Issues related to the:

Is there a file size limit that you want to convert to PDF in acrobat?

Why my pdf files are saved from photoshop saying: 'out of memory '?

    Hello

I was able to receive assistance from Adobe chat and solve the problem. I have no answers as to why I was getting the error message. But to work around the error message, here are the steps:

    1. save the image in Jpeg format (in photoshop or other)

    2. in windows Explorer, right click on the jpeg file and click on "open with" and choose Adobe Acrobat

    3. once the file is opened in Acrobat, file > save (not save as) and then save in desired file name.

There is another option to save JPEG files in PDF format. An even better option to save images in a PDF file is to save the file in Photoshop EPS format in photoshop, you can then open it in Acrobat to save in PDF format. While recording in Jpeg format and conversion to pdf format gave a file ~ 15 mb, save the files as a PhotoshopEPS first and then convert to PDF produces a smaller file, to about 9 MB. Always the same quality.

  • Big TIFF to JPEG files

Hi everyone, my first post here.

I'm working on JPEG (about 6 MB) in Adobe LR and when I export my photos in TIFF files (16 bits, no compression - I may need tweaking on PS), they jump to more than 100 MB!

I think I understood that this happens normally with the RAW files, but my starting point here is JPG, so I really don't understand what is happening.

Also, when I change the resolution in the export window, it made no difference. How is that?

I need your help before my hard drive has a heart attack.

It has kind of wrong there JPEG and Raw file sizes are somehow 'normal' and other sizes are 'big '. In reality, it is the opposite: Raw and JPEG are highly compressed and uncompressed TIFF is closer to a "native" file for any image size. We are just freaked out by size uncompressed because we are not used to seeing them. It starts from a JPEG file is not serious... you always try to reconstitute the original uncompressed image content. If you start from a Raw or JPEG, and the content of the image is virtually identical, export a TIFF uncompressed for the same characteristics at the same time can produce files of similar size, regardless of the size of the original file are the sizes. As you export without compression, no gimmicks can be used to compress by color, pattern, etc. The ground is level, so that you get similar non compressed file sizes.

    Elvazur wrote:

You have to rework them should not be a concern, because Photoshop can open any TIFF Lightroom able to export. You can and should enable Zip compression for 16-bit TIFF files.

    Elvazur wrote:

Also, when I change the resolution in the export window, it made no difference. How is that?

Resolution only changes the size of the file when the dimensions of the physical image are locked. This is because the resolution is a ratio: there are both the ppi and the inches that are associated with. If you set the image to 1000 x 1000 pixels, but you attach to a physical measure such as in. or cm, then it's always going to be 1000 x 1000 pixels if you set it to 100 ppi and 300 ppi. It will take just less inches if you were to print it. If you want to get smaller when you reduce the value of the resolution of a file, you must also enter the physical size of the image. If you set the image size to 3 x 3 inches at 300 dpi, and then you change to 3 x 3 inches to 100 ppi, of course the physical resolution and the size of the file must fall in this case. In the export of Lightroom dialogue you'd that happen by changing the resize to fit W/H value between 'pixels' and 'in' or 'cm '.

Do not also forget that you two (I think?) the size just passing your original 8-bit to 16-bit export.

  • Cannot move the JPEG files to timeline - file not supported?

Hello, installed the trial version of 8 pm and bought PSE8.  When you set up a new film first, the pane properly organize shows all my JPEG files from the catalog PSE8, but when I try to drag one or more to the timeline (said "Drag next clip here") I get an error popup "generic failure - this file type is not supported or the required codec is not installed."  What is going on?  Any ideas? Thank you!

Check the size of your image. If necessary, reduce the size to not more than 1000 x 750 and see if it works. Make image files open so directly double-clicked folder (i.e. outside the PRE)?
