*. JPG Photo icons have points of exclamation in red at the bottom right of the icon.

all my jpg icons have an exclamation mark on them. don't know what that means?

You can open files - try some?  Is this the same opening program has always opened before or it changed?  Is that what the .jpg files and it is all .jpg files?  No files .gif, or .tiff files or .avi or other types of image files or video files?

What Security Suite (or anti-virus or firewall program) you are average (name and version)?

When did start?  Did you recently install new software and updates (or run scans)?  I'm trying to understand what has changed since then until this started when she started.

Frankly, my first thought is that I don't know what that means, either - but maybe answers to these questions, we can identify the cause.

In the meantime (in case this solves the problem), try a restore of the system to a point in time BEFORE the 'problem' has started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

I hope this helps, or that we get enough information to understand.

Good luck and I look forward to your response.

  • Location of the xmp for jpg photo data

    Scenario:

Edit a jpg photo in LR (let's call it photoname.jpg) - add cropping etc. Tell lightroom to "write metadata in the file" (CTRL-S in XP).

I do not see the .xmp associated in windows Explorer file... However, to bridge and "Edit in ACR" - the culture settings made in LR are used - which means that the .xmp is SOMEWHERE

I checked, and my hidden files is selected in windows Explorer. I did a search on my hard drive for "photoname.xmp" and even "photoname.*". Anything other than the original watch.

    Question:

Where exactly is this .xmp sidecar file stored for this jpg photo when I tell LR to "write metadata to the file?

    Thank you.

    > Where exactly is this .xmp sidecar file stored for this jpg photo when I tell LR to "write metadata to the file?

Inside of the file. RAWs only using a sidecar, TIFF, JPEG, and DNG have xmp data embedded in the file.

Another method is to do a system restore.

If you remember a time when you did NOT have this problem, and if this date is not too long, use this date or before as your restore point.

Yes, it's probably slow things down a GB of s2 on memory is the absolute minimum - you need to update your memory which is cheap and easy - a reasonable and a reliable source is Other World Computing- there are others including Apple

In order to view some photos on various websites...

  • (Redirected) Photo icons

Hi, I use Windows 7 on a computer Dell desktop and for some reason that my photo icons are all transformed into the same image which is a pine tree on the hills of yellow.  I have thousands of pictures and to have glimpses of these pictures as icons but this changed recently and I don't know how.

I tried right clicking and changing properties and also to the opening with different programs, but nothing works.

Is there anything I can do to recover all the previews. I also changed the sizes of icons etc, but it does make a difference.

This makes it very difficult to find photos.

  • Creating CD Inserts using jpg photos.

I tried to close this request, but found it difficult.

If I am wrong, please forgive me.

I am trying to create a few relatively simple inserts for a CD Jewel box.  I'm not too bothered about the circular for the moment, all I'm really bothered on the subject is the front and back covers the case.

I tried different templates for MS Word, (I use Word 2007), I have watched ebven available on MS Online via Word, but all I can find is models that are already on the theme.  All I really want is contour of the canvas where you want to place my photos.  My second problem lies.

I took photographs of the vinyl album cover, the front and the back.  I've clipped the unwanted bits and them stored in a folder in my pictures.

I managed to download a couple of different models of CD jewel case insert where there was just a glimpse, and that they easily load as templates in Word.

When I insert photos jpg files in the document, I can't handle the size of the images.

When I try to stretch the picture by the handles, the entire picture moves.  I have tried for hours, but not had the success of the Ant.

What is the best way to reach my goal?

    It creaks in the end!

I used Word 2007 in the end.  I struggled with 12 elements in Photoshop, but I'll teach myself that one ends up.

What was missing, it was 'Positioning' and be able to prioritize areas of text.

The other thing was messing around with the labelling of end where you want the text to be re-oriented.  I have sorted out who with WordArt.  A little difficult to understand at the beginning because I needed the text smaller than 8 which apparently cannot be done.  The only way around it that I could find was to reduce the size of the WordArt boxes and reposition them centrally on the model.

    Makes now any way.

The actual circular label is not easy anyway.  I have no any sticky circles now, and I'm not going to buy everything as I rarely do something like that anyway.  I always have trouble positioning the special paper into the printer for the work of dead land on the circle, then I end up losing a lot.

  • How can I search for all photos that have names composed of four numbers?

    OT: Help search.

Hello, I want to seek a photo (.jpg), photography is as the name of 5225.jpg, which consists of four digits. How can I search for all photos that have names composed of four numbers? Thank you

I don't know how to search only images that carry the 4 numbers, but I know how to find a file that is exactly 4 letters long and ends with ".jpg".

To do this, type this in your search box (exactly as it is, including quotation marks):

    "file name:"? "jpg"

It will search for all files that have exactly 4 characters followed by .jpg at the end.

  • Cannot open JP2 and corrupt JPG photos

    Hi all

The photos I made four years ago now seem not.  I try to open these JP2 and JPG photos but cannot.  Is there a way to easily change the properties of these by copying and using "save under" and pointing to a new type of file?  If possible, how should be saved?

    Thanks for any comments.

  • Can I disable shadow jpg photo?

Shortly after moving from Windows XP to Windows 7, I noticed image jpg icons look different in Windows Explorer and windows 'insert image': they now have shadows. Some programs, such as Word 2007, throw away them when the images are inserted. Others, like Windows Live Mail 2011, keep shadow. To get rid of him, I have to click a 'none' button in the group "Picture Styles".

Is there an option 'preferences' anywhere in Windows 7 that allows you to only choose "shadow" for jpg images?

    justasking3,

I had the same problem you described. I finally found the solution.

    1. Create a new email.
    2. Select the image
    3. Select the format not to get rid of the shadow
    4. Look for the "Set Default" button in the toolbar. Until it clicks.
Now take the next time you create a new image.
Have you found a solution for the image in your signature by default selected when you create a new email? What a pain.

Oh yes! I found: D just move picture in the background with style like it ;)

No, it works like a charm ;)
