  • New version of edge animate CC (2014)?

    Now, I just received notification of creative cloud on the new version (no updates) on Edge animate CC (2014), I installed 3.0.0.322.27519 and I can't seem to find information on the internet on the new version. It is a possible error of cloud creative app. ? is 3.0, the latest version?

    OK - maybe good news... I spoke to a Support technique Adobe. I am able to download a previous version of the CC to animate dashboard by choosing the PREVIOUS VERSION under the section of NEWS FIND applications of the Creative Cloud Desktop app. It is a new feature in CC fortunately. I can install CC and then do as suggested Agnes r kumar and edit the _edge.js file to authorize 3.0 open the file.

    Thanks for all the help. Sorry for TAPANT MY frustration. I will answer if that everything works.

    ALSO: jgunderson thanks for this heads up. I'll try too. WHY ADOBE did not include even a menu option for that in the UI?

  • Hammer.js and edge animate CC 2014

    Is it still possible to register the library of Hammer.js on board animate CC 20141?

    I need a simple way to detect slide them up / down. Thank you.

    Hi Mary,

    I tested this code:

    var myElement = sym.$("Rectangle") [0];

    var MC = new Hammer (myElement);

    MC.on ("panleft panright tap press", {function (ev)})

    Console.log ("ev.type:", ev.type);

    myElement.textContent = ev.type + 'gesture detected.';

    });

    It returns this (MacBook: Mac OS and Safari):

    Returns an iPad: "panleft gesture detected", "panright gesture detected", "tap gesture detected" and "detected gesture of press."

  • Use jQueryUI slider in adobe edge animate.

    I'm looking for a way to use jQueryUI slider in adobe edge animate.

    I have to build a master key, our designers are able to use to create the different sliders. But when I use the .slider () - function, I always get the error:

    Eception TypeError: object # < object > has no method 'replace' at edge.2.0.0.min.js:135

    In my opinion, the cause is, this parameter generates a tag has, in order to have a cursor.

    You know a way to fix that? The only way that I found on the web was to use. draggable(). But it is of no use to us. We need. slider().

    Hey,.

    I may be a 'solution', but it really isn't an official.

    It seems that the bug when edge runtime tries to reed and camelize descent CSS attributes.

    I really DON'T have to ensure that the amendment that I am proposing will have no side effect ... do it at your own risk!  But it seems to work for me =)

    The file to edit is edge.4.0.1.min.js, the compressed version of edge.4.0.1.js,

    I think the problem is in this function:

    Edge.4.0.1.js, line 4600

    $. prototype.CSS = function (k, v) {}

    var r = css.apply (this, arguments),

    hiding,

    KC,

    camelize = {function (str)}

    (Return str.replace(/^-ms-/, "ms"-) .replace (/-([a-z] |)) [0-9]) / GI, function (s, l) {return String (l) .toUpperCase () ;}) ;

    };

    This function is used to camelize CSS attributes.

    It seems that when the runtime of edge indicates the css properties of cursors, instead of having a string, an object is returned... so the quicker fix / easier (but maybe not the best), I have found is to test whether the parameter is an object, and if so, turn it into a string

    You do not need to apply this change to edge.4.0.1.js, just to explain what I did in the min version to 'fix' the bug.

    $. prototype.CSS = function (k, v) {}

    var r = css.apply (this, arguments),

    hiding,

    KC,

    camelize = {function (str)}

    if (typeof str is 'object')

    Str = Object.keys (str) [0];

    (Return str.replace(/^-ms-/, "ms"-) .replace (/-([a-z] |)) [0-9]) / GI, function (s, l) {return String (l) .toUpperCase () ;}) ;

    };

    Now, we must apply the change to the compressed version

    Edge.4.0.1.min.js, line 148, col 92:

    Look for this part of the code:

    line 148: a.replace(/^-ms-/,"ms-") return "

    and add this statement in front of her:

    If (typeof a == 'object') a = Object.keys (a) [0];

    You must have:

    If (typeof a == 'object') a = Object.keys (a) [0]; return a.replace(/^-ms-/,"ms-") "

    There are now two possibilities: you can replace the file in your project, but it will be replaced whenever you're going to save your changes. (to avoid this, you can remove the authorization in writing on this subject). This option does not use the preview feature.

    Alternatively, you can "patch" your version of edge led, for you can use the preview and you will have to replace the file whenever you save.

    Of course: /!-make a backup first! /!\

    For Mac OSX: Make a right click on Adobe Edge animate CC 2014.app and select "Show package content", then the file is located in

    Contents/Resources/js_framework/source /.

    You will need access rights to write to this file to modify: (CMD + i) when the file is highlighted in the finder, then click on the Cabinet, type your password, add a new user by clicking on the icon "+", select your user name and place the read permission / writing

    I hope this helps other people who had problems with it. Once again, please make a backup first!

  • Adobe Edge animate 2014 cannot start! -"d3dx9_43.dll' missing. Several re - installed same problem. Help? :(

    It is the Dialogue I am presented after each attempt to launch Adobe Edge animate CC 2014.

    "EdgeAnimate.exe - system error."

    "The program can't start because the C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe edge animate CC 2014\cef\d3dx9_43.dll is missing on your computer." Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. »

    I have re-installed edge animate several times now, even computer rebooting between installs. For some reason or another, whenever animate Edge is installed, this particular "d3dx9_43.dll" file will not be installed with. What can I do? I use Animate frequently enough that this will become a problem if she cannot resolve it quickly. Help, please.

    I thought about it. I just had to find my computer 'd3dx9_43.dll', then copy of System32(not cut) in the right folder edge animate. There is no need to reinstall or restart. I already had the latest version of MS Direct X installed, so all that was left was to have the file copied to the correct folder.

    Edge animate works now stellar.

  • .Edge file made with Adobe Edge animate 1.0 work and load in Adobe Edge animate 3.0?

    I got the beta version of Adobe Edge animate and when it came out I was able to download free version 1.0, and it is still installed on my computer today.

    The problem is I get a new computer, and I wonder if my old projects I've done with this version of Adobe Edge will work correctly if I buy the edge animate CC?

    Edge animate CC does support backwards compatibility all the way back to 1.0?

    Hello

    Also, sometimes it depends on the functionality as well. It is deprecated in the latest version, then you might get error or warning.

    Please download the trial version of edge animate CC 2014 and test your project.

  • Length Variable TEXT of JSON in edge Animation animate [v 2014.1.1]

    Hi all..

    I am currently conversion HTML & CSS & JAVASCRIPT code in Edge animate so I can have more fun with my little project, essentially the re-design it in Adobe Edge

    Part Composition edge information displays on the screen that is seized with a JSON encoded a PHP file, these recovered data is variable in length... It could be 10 characters in length or width of 30 characters. According to the total length of the characters I choose the time to animate the text from left to right (as a framing box)...

    It is important for me to explain here what to expect from this animation.

    Example:

    We have a wide rectangle of 100PX. If the json data is less than the width of the rectangle, then then the text should be left justified and stationary.

    If the json data is greater than the width of the rectangle then the animation should proceed as follows.

    START: justify text on the left and hide the text to the right which goes beyond the edge of the right side of the rectange.

    ANIMATE: move text to the left until the end of the text reaches the right side of the rectangle, then move to the position of starting with the loop.

    At the time I had the project in HTML & CSS & JAVASCRIPT format I lower the JSON data encoded in DIVs, then switch the DIV class according to the then the length of the data. If the width of parents ("outerDiv") has been less then data then the CSS .animate class would take over, otherwise, it would default to CSS .noAnimate

    This is how it was done.

    1: JavaScript

    It's my JavaScript that traverses the coded the data PHP JSON results. (I've omitted many of the results in the code below to make it easier to read)

    function playlistupdate (list)
    {
    for (var i = 0 ; i != list.dbdata.length ; i++)
        {
            var song = list.dbdata[i];

        }
    {
        $("#list0title").html(list.dbdata[0].title);

    This part should check the width of the PARENT ("outer div") and see if it is LESS than the width of the JSON data. If it was it would use the .animate instead of .noAnimate class

    $('.noAnimate').each(function() {
        $(this).toggleClass('animate', $(this).parent().width() < $(this).width());
    });

    2: the CSS

    No animation

    Here's the CSS if the data is less than the parent DIV width...

    .noAnimate {
        position:absolute;
        white-space:nowrap;
        overflow: hidden;
    }

    Animation

    Here's the CSS if the data is greater than the width of the parent DIV ... (I omitted the other browser compatibility to make it easier to read)

    .animate {
        position:absolute;
        white-space:nowrap;
        overflow: hidden;
        -moz-animation: slidein 3s infinite linear alternate 1s;
        -webkit-animation: slidein 3s infinite linear alternate 1s;
        -o-animation: slidein 3s infinite linear alternate 1s;
        animation: slidein 3s infinite linear alternate 1s;
    }

    @-moz-keyframes slidein {
        from {
            -moz-transform:translateX(0);
        }
        to {
            -moz-transform:translateX(-100%) translateX(254px);  /* -100% + parent width */
        }
    }

    Stuff pretty basic and useful if someone wants to use it...

    3: the problem

    Now I face on the issues to the JSON data alive in my Composition of edge.

    As I understand it, animate Dashboard will not allow animations out of JQuery so the foregoing CSS is basically usless.

    While I have no problem taking a simple fade in for my JSON like data below (stored in the symbol "nowPlay" where I put an opacity of the keyframe to 0% at zero seconds at 100% to 2 seconds im stumped as how to start to be converted to usable JQUERY )

    for (var i = 0 ; i != list.dbdata.length ; i++)
        {
            var song = list.dbdata[i];
        }
    {
        sym.getSymbol("nowPlay").$("list0TitleContainer").html(list.dbdata[0].title);
        sym.getSymbol("nowPlay").play();
    ...continued

    It is now well above my skill level and please im extremly clued coders out there can help me make the transition.

    The final result if not completely understood is that if the width of the text is less than outside container then animate not from left to right... Otherwise, if the text is larger, then the width of the outer div then animate from left to right.

    It is a personal project.

    I know its been a long read... If anyone can help shed some light please do... If not I hope that some of the above CSS could be useful to people.

    Thank you very much... Justin.

    Now, I apply the effect of text to symbols: Symbols.zip - Box effect

    That it would be easier to sym.createChildSymbol ();

  • Edge Animate - comparisons Animate

    Hey all,.

    I worked on board animate for about since a year or two. Many animations of construction / site of my client with edge animate, as my client wants all kinds of animation past with the site, but still have the feel of Web site. I'm using OAM to import my projects to the site, and I know that animate will provide me the opportunity the same.

Tips, pointers or ideas, things to consider before taking the plunge. If I understand correctly, Animate is the new Flash. I have never tested a ton with Actionscript and remember I started with Flash, it's what is used in Flash, Actionscript was supposed to be quite similar to Javascript?

    Any ideas, feedback would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps a link or something for a good understanding of what Animate can provide such as a website, creating solution, or perhaps thinking is used mainly for ads?

  • can I open an old animated file from adobe with adobe edge animate 2015

    I'm trying to follow a course on lynda.com.  But their course files has been made on adobe animate 2014.  When I try to open the file with adobe animate 2015 it does not?  But the file will not open with the older version of adobe edge animate 2014 either.  Is there a reason or solution for this?

    Animate animate Adobe and Adobe Edge are two different applications, you cannot open the other.

  • Animation in Adobe Edge animate 2015 changes after I save and return

    Hi all.

    Thus, the 2014 version was very good.  In 2015, I created an animation.  Saved.  Closed the program.

    When I returned, stuff has been moved slightly and the animation was wobbly.

    The "axes" of items I had rotation went from the place I put them, towards the Center, so they go wrong.

    In addition, items decided just hard to move a part of the stage to the other.

    Any ideas?

    I couldn't find anywhere to downgrade in the Adobe Creative Cloud app (which I hate to do) to 2014, but if I have to, to save my company time and sanity, I will.

    Generally, the application Adobe Creative cloud has an option under 'Manage the Application', or somewhere, I think.

    How can I do this?

    Please notify.

    Thank you kindly.

    -Daniel

    Then, I understood what was going on.

    (1) all the graphics that you import into Edge animate must already be sized down.  If you resize them on board animate, well, I got unexpected results.

    (2) you must save it to your layers, one at a time, in Photoshop.  DO NOT use any batch process for this.  Once done by batch process in E.A. graph, I came across problems.

    (3) convert all you want turn to symbols.  Set the right anchor on the scene and inside the symbol.  This will ensure that your point of rotation remains consistent, save for save.

    (4) this is the second time where I posted a question, so that waiting for a correct answer, troubleshoot - it done myself and then returned and posted the answer.  Maybe I have a career hidden in Adobe technical support?  :-)

    Thank you all!  Happy creating!
