JSP - connections to databases (+) out gret - CS4

Hello

I'm hoping someone may be able to shed light on the below question.

Question - when I opened the Panel database upward in Dreamweaver CS4, all items are check that must be in place to allow a database connection, however, the (+) sign to select a driver to create the connection is grayed out.

db_connections.GIF

What I have:

  • I installed Tomcat and works fine on my laptop (XP Wws).
  • I put a copy of the MS SQL Server JDBC driver in the directory of Dreamweaver JDBC (configuration\JDBCDrivers) and (common\lib) directory of Tomcat.
  • Login screen is seems to be configured correctly:
    • conn.JPG
    • In order to make a connection that I hand-coded connection to database of the Web site that works very well. So I know that the application is configured correctly and Tomcat works with the JDBC driver.

Thank you

Travis

As announced by Adobe in August 2007, the JSP server behaviors are among the features deprecated in Dreamweaver CS4. JSP and ASP.NET are no longer supported. In my view, that server models were left in the site definition to test server so that you can always test pages created in previous versions of Dreamweaver, but you can no longer create or modify database connections and ASP.NET or JSP server behaviors.

    Hello world

    Thank you for your help in advance.

    I would like to ask why I could not create a new VPN connection as the "Creat new network connection" is grayed out. I'm also sure that remote access connection manager, and another car once are started.

    I can create an account with my domain administrator account. But once I passed the orginary user, the shortcut to the connection could not be accessed. I also tried to add the user to the local Administrators group, and the result is the same.

    Original title: problems with itunes

    I have recently purchsed an ipod and downloaded the itunes program.  Everything seems to work fine except or the fact that I can not access the itunes store, so have created new problems.  It telling me that my network connection has timed out or my network settings are not correct.  What settings should I have on, how can I make this work?

    Hello

    The reason for not being able to connect to the iTunes store may be due to the "hosts file" blocking the iTunes Store, or it can also be caused by security software, most likely, it might be Norton Firewall.
    Step 1:

    Note: Please make sure that you enable the antivirus/firewall software after the test to keep your computer protected.
    Step 2:

    You cannot connect to a PDB file through a registration of the listener static like this, because there is just no SID not named MYPDB1. You must register the services dynamically. In the root.

    ALTER system set local_listener = "adc40:1550";

    editing the system registry;

  • Developer SQL 4.0.1.14 - connections are grayed out (?)

    I have several 'connections' in my SQL Developer 4.0.1.14, and most of them are "grayed out". A couple are bold' no black.

    Greyed out connections work well. I can click one, work, (re) connect, test, run SQL without any problem.

    Is there a (new) reason why SQL Developer would present some of my connections as grayed out?

    OK, the connections have colors.

    For each connection you select, RMC (right-click) and choose Properties. On the pane of the properties of the connection, as well as the password and other properties there is a widget called "color of connection." Clicking on the widget to change/select the color.

    The connection color widget is to the immediate right of the password field.

    You will need to choose "Save" after you (re) set the color of a connection.

    By clicking on "off" this connection will show you the new color of connection in the Connections pane. I don't know yet how designate the presentation as "BOLD" for a color of the provided connection.

    Don't forget to choose "Save".

    I would like to connect with the database instead of "writing" all the tables in the bearings inside the Jquery page

    This is usually done with a CMS (content management system). There are commercial products CMS like WordPress, Joomla and perch. You create one or several layouts and then create pages of these page layouts using the CMS. In this way, it is possible to have hundreds of pages, each with unique content, but a page layout that can be managed in a place of sharing.

    CMSs on shelf don't require programming skills. Otherwise, some of us write our own CMS with custom functions, but this requires back-end, as with PHP programming.

    Your windows (start-> Run-> eventviewer) event log is full. Erase old newspapers and then try to connect to the database.

  • construction of a database with DW CS4 site

    Im trying to build a site from database using Dreamweaver cs4.  I have a database of various text divided into chapters and chapters. I can create a recordset that will pull the first chapter and the first 10 subchapters (paragraphs), I would add that a record set navigation bar for the rest of the paragraphs in the chapter to be read.

    My problem is that I do not understand how to automate the implementation of dynamic pages 100 or so similar with the rest of the main headings on their own page.

    I can work through this in PHP, but not visually in dreamweaver.

    I could of course create 100 bars navigation and games records on 100 pages; but should not be a way to automate this process?

    I'm working in dreamweaver CS4, I have access to CS5, but I want to understand this in CS4.

    I'd appreciate any help or links to tutorials that build sites like this.

    Yes, master/detail server behavior you can get what you want. I found in most cases DW SB provide 75-90% of the functionality I need, but I then need either modify the code or just rewrite myself.

    So I would like to start experimenting with the SB s to see if they work for you. But I wouldn't limit the user interface based on what the SB provides, as you already know PHP.

  • How to connect two databases on two servers

    How to connect two databases on two servers. For example
    a serevr is in India and another in Australia.
    The following example is correct or not

    Select A.ID, B.Name [10.50.17.87] .HR. EMP A, [192.168.100.125] .HR. TRANS B
    Where A.ID = B.ID

    You must use a database for this link. The syntax is defined in the reference SQL here: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e17118/statements_5005.htm#SQLRF01205

  • How to connect two databases to a single listener

    Hello

    How to connect two databases to a listener.is it is possible or not

    Hello

    Yes, you can record a single listener to respond to several databases. There are several ways to do it and the best way that I would suggest for you is the use of "Network Setup Wizard" or "netca", which is a graphical interface that allows you to meet your requirement. Otherwise, you can hardcode in your listener.ora file located in the 'ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora '.

    Example is as follows

    Listener.ora

    SCREW =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab01) (PORT = 1521))
    )
    )

    SID_LIST_VIS =
    (SID_LIST =
    -1 database configuration
    *(SID_DESC =*)
    * (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1)*
    * (SID_NAME = DB1) *.
    *)*
    -Database Setup 2
    *(SID_DESC =*)
    * (ORACLE_HOME = /u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1)*
    * (SID_NAME = DB2). *
    *)*
    )

    Then restart your listener.

    Kind regards

  • Connection to database using an ASP Javascript page

    I use the trial version of the CS6 cloud. Open an ASP Javascript page then wants to connect to my database. The only thing that appears is a spry connection. If I open an ASP VBscript page, the connection is available. I have CS3 and wanted to update, but in this respect is not in CS6 for an ASP Javascript page?

    While the definition of site offers a choice of ASP JS, ASP VBScript is the only version of ASP that DW CS5 + supports for the automatic generation of code through server behaviors & recordsets. So, I guess you're out of luck.

    ASP.NET & JSP behaviors have been deprecated in DW CS4. ASP JS behaviors have been deprecated in DW CS5.
