Hello

You can have malicious software.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT and add Prevx to be sure that he is gone.

    Hello

I have an iMAC (5K, 27 inches, end of 2015), 16 GB RAM, Core i5 (El Cap 10.11.6 running) and have had a problem with my boot drive fill even if I 308 GB of free space. After investigation, I found a temp file located in HD/private/tmp which appears immediately after the opening of session and which grows spontaneously - sometimes as much as 3 GB in a minute. Usually, the 308GB of free space, I started with that gets swallowed up in time. I also have another user with the same computer, but in executing Yosemite (10.10.5), who have the same symptoms.

I use Outlook for MAC 2016 and the other user's MAC Mail for his e-mail client. I looked at this first just in case where the email could be the cause, because together we have E-mail ridiculously large stores, but I don't know yet why this just tmp file runs away as he does.

Also, after reboot I get my space free return but also the tmp file and that it just starts to grow again. As a test, I started my computer but did not open ANY OTHER apps at all but one window Finder/private/tmp and then I sat down and watched - less than 10 minutes as tmp folder blown out to more than 20 GB and I never even touched the computer.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

By chance do you have any antivirus, cleaning or ANY third party maintenance installed applications?

  • How can I reduce the size of the var/tmp?

I have a 64 GB of storage on my Macbook Air and 16 GB of tmp files it take all this. I want to reduce the size, because I can't try to manage with very limited storage space.

It will clear if you restart the system. If you restart your Mac for long periods, it will grow quite large.

There are solutions on the web on the Terminal, but I advise strongly do not you try this unless you are completely familiar with its use. You can do a lot of damage in a very short time by abusing it.

  • Thunderbird is download Trojan horses to \AppData\Local\Temp\nsmail.tmp?

I use Thunderbird on Win 8.1, 64 bit, Windows Defender and EMET. When I'm mischievous looking for emails (some with attachments) I do not open, but transmit to us - cert.gov and UCE.GOV reports e-mail addresses. I am emails in the mode display only text. I run a virus scan afterwards and detection has been coming for Trojan horses in container file C:\Users\ < username > \AppData\Local\Temp\nsmail.tmp, usually with a .scr extension file (as shown in the output of information Defender). An infected file is downloaded on my computer for the operations of Thunderbird? Is - this benign file until the opening? I was under the impression that it's just passed the folder from the server. Can anyone tell/explain about this? Thank you in advance!

SCR files are Windows screensavers. Them are executable files and run and are processed by Windows exactly one. EXE file.

The only risk they represent for you is if you actually run the attachment (Thunderbird cannot do it alone)

The location of the file is where emails are assembled in an e-mail to be sent. The same location and name is used for each mail.

There is no point sending such things for the U.S. Government or anyone else, unless they specifically ask for it. I'm sure you've heard of made massive data capture the NSA. They probably already have your email address, but more to the point, Government and business of cyber security as symantec, kaspersky labs, eset and the folk music of more black hat is all skimming data flowing around the internet. This is how they seem to be able to issue a definition of virus before getting a sample.

  • Can I recover my saving a .tmp file?

I exported my file a .aif, but something in the process of glitched at the end and the file saved as .tmp instead of .aif. Then garageband crashed before I could save the .band file, so I lost all the tracks in the project. The .tmp file is pretty big so I figure it has the data, but I don't know if I can get it back. Any advice?

In fact, I was able to open the file in quicktime format and then export a file .m4a from there. Is not ideal, but I managed to recover the file for the most part intact.

Created an installation on the development computer disc.  adapted to the target.  Exe worked.  Do chgs sw on machine devepmnt.  recreated installed.  not clicked on "generate code for upgrade" which means it replaces the old data for me.  Created a new drive for CD distribution.  Now when I run the installer on the new machine, I get:

    Someone knows why?

    Thank you

    Hi Clint_Eastwood1000,

See the documentation for the version information page understand what made the upgrade code:

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361K-01/lvdialog/version_install_page/

If you create several installers and do not change the upgrade code, the target computer will think the installers are the same and overwrite the files. If you do not change the code in upgrade, the computer will think that they are separate installers and install each application in the appropriate directory.

Be able to run the executable file by copying it to the deployment computer shows that the executable is fine, but something is damaged with the installation program. If you deploy only on a single system, simply copy the executable would be the easiest solution if you do not want to try to redo the installer every time.

    Best regards

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

WE NEED AT LEAST TWO FILES DMP TO SPOT TRENDS AND TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are that if you are unsure if you are, you are not)
