  You may have a problem with an extension or plugin that obstructs normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

  In all cases, prove a screenshot would be useful.

  You can adjust the font size on any site in combinations ctrl - (control and 'negative') and ctrl - + (control and 'more', or ctrl - =, control and "equal to"). Control and mouse wheel works too high/low. In addition, you can reset the default font size by pressing ctrl - 0 (control and "zero").

  You can press 'Ctrl-' or you press the CTRL key while scrolling down.

  If it's only on Hotmail, hold down the CTRL key while you press the '+' a number of times. CTRL + the '-' (minus button) to reduce the size again.

  Open the second window, drag to the size you want by making a left click and drag the lower right corner. Close the first window, and then close the other now the key and by doing a file/exit (do not use the x in the upper right corner). See if that helps.
