  SM Bus is part of the Chipset, so you will need to install the Intel Chipset driver that is available on the Intel Web site. Or you can use the driver for another model of Toshiba chip, such as the Satellite P200.

  PCI memory controller is map of Robson I think. It is not compatible with XP, so just disable it in Device Manager.

• Satellite L550 - lack drivers for Bluetooth

  Attempts without end to get my cell phone Nokia 7230 working with the Bluetooth on my Toshiba Satellite L550, but nothing happens. When I try to download the drivers, it says plug it. Also, I get this message of Nokia PC Suite.

  I get the message that the three drivers are missing, 6to4 map ISATAP M/S M/S & M/S Teredo Tunneling adapter card.
  All attempts to repair through the Microsoft site failed, & the only suggestion is "computer to contact manufacturer.

  The computer is still under warranty, purchased in France where I still live.
  Just to add to my misery, Windows 7 is in French, which is not making things easier, because English is my mother tongue.

  Should I just give up & buy a USB cable & forget Bluetooth?

  Are you sure that portable supports the internal Bluetooth adapter?
  Check if you have a BT label at the bottom of the unit
  Maybe the laptop does not support the BT module and so you are not able to connect the phone to this unit

  If the laptop supports an internal BT module, you must reinstall the BT stack which you can find here:

  FYI: you can activate the BT using FN + F8

• Device Manager - lack drivers?

  I tried the matrix and tried to look for the answer, and even the the thinkvantage system update did not work...

  I still see "Base system device" and "Controller of Bus SM" pilot is missing in Device Manager...

  anyone has any ideas how to fix this?

  then I went in, and click Device Manager on the device with the missing drivers...

  then I clicked on properties and went into the Details tab...

  Select the ID of the hardware and then searched in pcidatabase... first of all by the seller, then the hardware id...

  the ricoh card reader and chipset driver intel have been identified and had direct download links available on pcidatabase that I then downloaded and installed...

  for some reason any I have not found that the right downloads in the matrix of lenovo, even though I thought that I had downloaded and installed these two drivers already...

  in any case, it is fixed!

  I just loaded xp on old stepson 8300 dell dimension. I fell on the dell.com site to get the necessary drivers. got what I thought was good. still not bring online. always to see "?" for "other devices" for ethernet, multimedia and a few others. This produced a few years ago the last time the hard drive went (gee, they don't last long, do?) but I'll be if I remember what I did.   I had to reinstall windows XP on my gf Satellite P100-429, but she lost the original disc, then when I installed the new XP there are the following devices lack drivers (they have the yellow question mark next to them) and I can not connect to the laptop to the internet.

  3. mass storage controller
  4 controller Netwrok
  5. SM Bus controller
  6 video controller (VGA Compatible)

  Can anyone tell me where I can find these drivers, I searched all day for them.

  All the drivers, you can find on Toshiba download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads > Support home page. In the lower part are download drivers section.

  Archive option choose product type. Make sure you choose well model using just the part number PAxxx.

  How is there to take to upgrade HP 8730w Windows 7 64 bit for Windows 10?

  HP 8730w support Web page has all the drivers for Windows XP to Windows 7, but not Windows 8.1 or 10.

  I have the Elitebook 6930p which is very similar to the 8730w as far as material is concerned.

  I upgraded to W10 earlier and everything works, except that I did not test the webcam or fingerprint reader.

  My 6930p did not come with the webcam option, and I use all the features of security so I have not tested the fingerprint reader, disc encryption, etc..

  For all the drivers who won't install W10, simply use the W7 drivers and they work very well as the card reader and 3D driveguard.

  There should not be too many devices lack drivers.

  You can burn download W10 on a DVD, but you do not boot from it.  You only boot from the DVD to do a clean install if you ever reinstall W10 again and he had been previously activated a legal upgrade from W7 or W8.1.

  In order to upgrade to W7 W10, have the PC in Windows, put the W10 DVD in the DVD drive and let it autorun (or explore the DVD and click on the file setup.exe), and then follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade.

  Since this is a new model and it comes preinstalled with Windows 10, that would mean he is tested by HP compatible for Windows 10 and it is designed with Windows 10 in mind. • No USB ports no drivers after reinstalling windows

  Had to re - install windows due to some problems ransomware.  Everything went fine except for the left usb ports drivers, and sm bus controller.  I searched on the HP site for the drivers, but none can be found.  On the right side usb ports are working fine but not the left.  When we look in the Device Manager, they lack drivers.  I tried everything I can think of to solve the problem without success.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you
