  3 Microsoft Office Tools
  4 Microsoft Office Diagnostics
  To see if that solves the problem. You may need your installation of the 2007 Office CD.
   
  If this does not help, do one of the following in one of these 2007 Office programs:
  
  Access, Excel, PowerPoint, or Word
   
  1. click on the image of Microsoft Office ButtonButton and then click
  Access Options, Excel Options, PowerPoint Options, or Word Options.
   
  2. click on Privacy Center, click Advanced Trust Center settings, and then click Privacy Options.
   
  3. Select the download regularly a file to determine
  box system problems.
   
  4 wait about a week to allow the file to download and then restart Microsoft Office Diagnostics.

  I've been running Win 7 x 64 for a year with no problem installing updates.  This latest update will not be installed.  I tried troubleshooting ideas.

  My son came this afternoon and somehow determined that my .net program has been corrupted.  He uninstalled and installed again and everything worked fine after that.  I wish I could better explain what he was doing.

  I look after 3 x Windows 2008 Standard Edition servers. Two of them to date very well and are up to date with updates. One of them however, which is identical in hardware to either of the other two and even fewer programs (we use it as a simple file server), fails on the last update released December 2015:

  3. how to install the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Server 2008 that installs but does not report errors

  good day to hope tried to install two updates for over a week now and so far no update of luck.the is kb978380 for office 2007 kb978382 for excel 2007. everytime I try to download, it creates a restore point and then is as it should be, but then I get an error 646 code and I like that he wasn't able to install the updates.today I found a listed optional update and tried to install all three but it would install only the optional parameter and code 646 for other two.i'm not any kind of an expert , but will try to follow the instructions because it need to be fixed.
