  I tried a few weeks install the KB2530548 update but it failed several times with an error 8007371 C code.  I'm using 32 bit Vista Home Premium, Service pack 2.  This also seems to prevent the installation of IE 9.  This is getting tiring.  Help, please.

  Run a repair installation will restore the current installation of Windows to the version of the installation DVD. It also requires the installation of all the updates that are not included on the installation DVD.

  Note Run a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer.

  To perform a repair of Windows 7 installation, follow these steps:

  Close all running applications.

  Insert the Windows 7 into the DVD drive of the computer.

  In the settings window, click install now.

  Note If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:

  Click Startand type Drive: \setup.exe in the box start the search .

  Note The placeholder drive is the drive letter of the computer's DVD.

  In the list of programs , click Setup.exe.

  In the settings window, click install now.

  Click connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).

  Type the CD key if you are prompted to do so.

  Select the operating system 'Windows Installer' page that you want to level or on-site.

  Thanks for the reply.  Here's what I learned today.  U44M1P7simply error means the update has failed.  Not a lot of help.

  CC is hard to update the Psalm to help Adobe Agent CAT had me uninstall and reinstall.  Reinstall is not permanently.  After examining the errorlog (7 errors), I manually deleted a file which has been mentioned in a couple lines of text errors.  Then the reinstallation was successful, but the update failed.  Then I updated directly from the program itself (in aid), and the update was successful.  I have informed Adobe technical support via a phone call that I waited on.   BTW, is updated directly from the program went much more quickly also.

  It sounds like the hard drive may have failed, so first try the procedure below to see if you can save your files.

  A possible way to try to recover your files from a disk non-boot is to follow the process described in the link below.  The CD of the Ubuntu operating system you create can launched from the CD alone (IE it doesn't have to be installed on the hard drive) and I've often found to successfully extract data even a hard failure.  When you created the CD, follow the instructions and see if you can save your existing files.

  Download and install the device drivers for some audi device / sound (hardware) is installed on your computer.

  Not knowing what brand specific & model computer and/or what brand specific & model device audio, high fidelity, you have, at this stage I can't better direct you to exactly what you need - but you should be able to review the specifications of your computer on the web site of builders/drivers/support download and get what you need.

  Windows Update and Fixit works error 80090305 report no-code.  I am running XP Professional on two machines.  Update still works on the same home network.  The other stopped 2 months ago.  Searched forums, KB, try possibilities of bugs like disable firewall, turning off trend AV, looking & change settings settings.  Error code still identifies ports 80 & 443 involved.  Internet connection only works for everything except the update on that computer.  I do not use cleaners registry but ran Tuner tend sometimes on both machines.  Any suggestions please?  Bruce.

  I really appreciate your response, however, I was able to solve it with the system restore and reinstallation of several windows updates.

  It turned out that a third-party software was the culprit.  Once I made this discovery, I reinstalled the software uninstalled, and carried out the system restore and updates.
