  • Double installation NIC down catwalks when 0.0.0.0 route change is forced

    I regularly course dual NIC with separate gateways.  A NETWORK adapter connects to the primary LAN (servers & workstations) as well as the internet.  The other connects to the resources of the company located in Denver and New York.  I write for enterprise resource roads, there is generally no problem.  However, I can't discover all IP departmental resources and a large part of the route is by server name, not by IP, so the hosts file must reflect IP - ServerName to route correctly.  This brings me to my question:

    Strange cases where complete connection Corporate is needed I would like to temporarily live ALL traffic on this interface.  I tried to remove just the 0.0.0.0 route and adding a new 0.0.0.0 route with the correct interface and tried to remove the road 0 and adding two return interfaces, with different metric values.
    Unfortunately, Win7 will frequently drop one or two interfaces gateways and a reboot is required to recover any other works for example netsh ip reset init, ipconfig/release / renew, disable/enable interface and so on.  Bridges and static IP addresses does nothing to help.
    Is there a way to permanently fix the bridges to keep them from falling, or is there a way to get back them without rebooting?
    Currently, my routing table looks like this (applicable info only)

  • Windows Firefox 29 silent installation

    I've been scouring the internet for a while looking for a way to do a silent install of Firefox via command line. As I just discovered, the - ms and the/ini methods only work in many older versions of Firefox.

    When I try install the silencer - ms, the first half of the install works fine, until it gets to the second half. As it appears, the second half asks first of all the admin password (which is didn't need), then it proceeds to the second half very visible installation (another click to download and install Firefox and other useless to ask the admin password).

    What I think happens is that the first Setup is actually just to install another Installer (in the appdata/temp folder) and then open this installer and remove it when it's done. This second installation program does not support the command - ms operating on its own.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Found the answer.

    I went and that reported on bugzilla, and after talking more with someone, it has been revealed that he has no intention to include silent install for the installer General "stub" based.     To remove a virus I download a scan at startup files which identied the virus and asked that I reboot system to complete removal.

    Once completed, it could not fix and I was got trapped in the circle of reboot & fail to trouble.

    So I decided to reinstall windows 7 in the hope that this would eliminate the problem.

    I now have 2 Windows 7 & and a recovery disk which is right next to memory full...

    To manually remove an entry in the Windows Start menu:

    Type MSCONFIG in the box files and research programs of Windows 7, then press the Enter key.  When the System Configuration window opens, click on the Startup tab, click once on the entry you want to delete, and then click Remove, and then click the button apply.

    You can use EasyBCD to modify the start menu in Windows 7, it allows you to edit the startup entries.
