  • NET framework updates continually try to install

There are problems with the latest NET Framework updates.  The first time, they have tried to install it several other updates there.  All were installed successfully EXCEPT the NET Framework updates.  Then, I got an error message that they can be installed and asked to send an automatic report because of this failure to Microsoft, I did.  Since then, there are 3 updates that are constantly trying to install.  NET Framework are all.  I tried 4 times. Whenever I tells me that they managed, and yet I still have the icon that tells me these same 3 updates are ready to install.  Every time I turned off the computer they are supposed to be installed again.  There is no other error message.  Please tell us how to fix this irritating problem with these updates from Microsoft.

Recently, I noticed that the automatic updates did not install it and returned error 80070005.   After investigation, I found that I could not open mmc at all and always get the message "this function no is not supported on this system.  No major changes have been made to the configuration to trigger it and I can't watch the event log because it is in the MMC.
I have studied this question in line and tool the following actions, which none worked:
carried out a complete antivirus scan (I use Commodo internet security)
    created another account administrator
    has run SFC (no problem)

has run msconfig.exe and disabled all the startup process

First, I would check since it is professional Vista was that computer on a field of work or it was already on an area of work? There may be group policies that are in place that prevent to run MMC.

When did start to happening? Is there anything new on the system which has been introduced into the environment (software, hardware)?

  • NET Framework Update KB2804577 watch in my list of programs, but also continuous appears in Microsoft Update as downloaded and waiting to be installed.

The update a few months ago... Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 (KB2804577), continues to appear in my list of installed updates. But according to updates from Microsoft, it is downloaded and ready to be installed. He also appeared in my sandbox with automatic updates as ready to be installed. He also continues to appear when I shut down my computer. Any number of times when I tried to leave my computer to install this update when I close down, by means of Microsoft Updates and automatic update. It will simply not go away! Since it puts in my list of programs updated, is it updated? If so, why he continues to show needing to be installed? I run Windows XP. IE8.

Sorry, it took so long to answer. To answer your questions, no he didn't is not updated and that's why he continues to show. This is a common problem with updates of the .NET Framework.

    Follow these steps:

Download it manually here. Click on download and choose NDP20SP2-KB2804577 - x 86 .exe. Install it and then visit Windows Update and check if it shows as a high priority. If it isn't there, you should no longer be disturbed by it.

If it's still there, follow these steps:

Uninstall .NET Framework 2.0 from Add / Remove programs.
Then download the .NET Framework cleanup tool , unzip it, run it, and in the drop-down list box, select 2.0 and clean.
    Reinstall .NET Framework 2.0
Visit Windows Update or Microsoft Update and let it install the rest of the 2.0 updates, including KB2804577.

Check if they install and report.

  • Got a real mess. Last Net framework would not move.

By reading the solutions I found the suggestion to run Microsoft Fixit, I did, and he did not fixit. Next solution was to run .net cleanup tool setting, I did...  He deleted all versions of .NET Framework.  Now I can't get a .net Framework 4 exception to install.  I don't have any idea on how to proceed.

After removing all THE versions of the .NET Framework unfortunately, now I have to put back them.  I had 1.1, 2 Service Pack 2, 3 4, 3.5 Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2.  Please tell us how 1. Download these once again, 2. If there are different versions of one of them (given), how do I know what I need, 3. Once in my download directory, how to install the. 4. If I keep getting the cannot install message, there's a solution for this?   Thank you.

    Order relocation (if necessary):

    1. .NET framework 3.5 SP1 (this will install the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2)
    2. .NET framework 1.1 (if you have all the programs installed in need, this blog helps you decide whether or not you need)
    3. .NET framework 1.0 (if you have all the programs installed in need, this blog helps you decide whether or not you need)
    4. .NET framework 4
