KB982670 appears to install updates windows, says it is successful, NO code error, but I am prompted to install again and again and again...
KB982670 appears to install some windows updates, says that it is successful, NO code error. If I check the list, it is now about 10 times. If I check for success, it is successful on the list. However, it is offered over and over and still and still and still and still and still and still and still and still and still and still and still and still and so on. If I try to install it from the downloaded file, it says that it is already installed and refuses to go forward. This isn't even a joke no more, it is an important $% # ^ & up!
Can someone tell me how to solve this very annoying situation?
Thank you!
Hi TheRogerDavis,
Use of the .net Framework Cleanup Tool to uninstall the update. Once you have successfully uninstalled, reinstall .net Framework 4 (KB982670).

Original title: connection problem
Hello! I recently did a clean installation of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and I use a wireless USB adapter. Windows says I am connected to the router, but I have no internet access, and I have this yellow on trinagle. Work of all my other Windows 7 PCs, but this one. Could someone help me? Thank you!
Hello
Welcome to the community forums of Microsoft and thanks for posting the question. I've surely you will help find a solution on the issue. I see that you are unable to connect to the wireless network after you perform a new installation.
I suggest you to consult the steps described in the article:
Method 1:
You can try the steps in the link and check.
You can update the driver of windows 7 on the manufacturer's Web site.
Method 2:
You can remove and re-create the wireless network connection, follow these steps:a. Click Start, type ncpa.cpl , and then press on Enter.
b. right click on your wireless network connection and then click Properties.
c. click the wireless networks tab.
d. under preferred networks, click your Wireless
network and then click on remove. e. click on view Wireless networks.
f. under management of the network, click refresh the network list.
g. under Choose a wireless network, click the wireless network to which you want to connect, and then click Connect.
Method 3:
If the steps above don't you can uninstall and reinstall the NIC drivers and check with the question.a. click on Start menu, in the Search tab type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER.
b. right click on network adapters and click Uninstall and restart the computer.
c. after rebooting, install network cards and check with the question.
Method 4:
You can temporarily disable the antivirus and firewall on the computer and see if it helps:Enable or disable Windows FirewallNOTE: Turn off Windows Firewall might make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.
You can see the following link to disable the Antivirus installed on your computer software.Disable the anti-virus software
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-softwareNOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacksPlease follow these recommended steps and post if you still experience the problem. I'd be happy to help you further. -
Cannot update Windows XP Pro after the reinstallation of the Message, the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view. The error number is 0x8024400A.
Should I turn off my Anti virus software is what could be stopping my updates? some sites would sugest that I use Kaspersky 2012, if that's the case, then why do all my other programs that are installed to date OK?
Hello
Check your level of service current pack...
- Hold down the Windows (between Ctrl and Alt) key and press Pause break
- Examine what is listed in the system: section
If there is no service pack designated first level you must download SP2 from...
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=28
.. .and then run the downloaded program to install SP2.
Once you have done this, or if you were already in service pack 1, 1a or 2, then install SP3 by downloading and running from...
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=24
For both of the above, you can ignore the text that says it's for network installations and also ignore the text advising windows/microsoft update if a single update of a PC.
So try and get up-to-date with the Windows updates.

Original title: re install windows 8.1.
I have problems with my computer and want to re install windows 8.0. I had upgraded my computer windows 7 to windows 8 but can't update windows like systems to give me an error that it cannot find a file and he needs me to insert the media. I insert the windows disc 8, but the system indicates that it is not the correct information. He is looking for another disc? I created a recovery usb drive, but that doesn't seem to help. I feel that I have completely new install windows 8 but I am nervous of course think I mess up something. given that this computer was originally shipped with windows 7, I have to use the recovery discs I've done initially or is there a way to create new ones with the new windows 8?
Hello and welcome!
If you are using a CD to upgrade of Windows 8, then there not all reinstall the files included for a full Windows.
Your best option is to use the recovery partition on your hard disk or the recovery CD from your PC back to Windows 7. Then Windows 7 SP1 upgrade and get all updates. Then, move to Windows 8 again.

Update Windows says that my updates failed, but the list of updates shows them as a success
Receipt of notice of updates of Windows. I opened the Control Panel of configuration/Windows Update screen and there was six recommended updates Important and two optional. I selected the six plus one option for Windows Live Add-in update. I installed updates and restarted my system. I checked the status of the installation of the system by opening the Control Panel of configuration/Windows Update screen. It showed that my updates failed, but when I click view update history, each of the update Important/recommended six succeeded. It there was no indication whether the Office Live Add-in was successful or not. Should I believe that the screen Control Panel of configuration/Windows Update that says my updates failed or should I believe the view update history which shows updates as a success.

New laptop Toshiba current A6 running Windows 8.1. Installed Thunderbird 31.6.0. Configuration completed successfully. Am able to receive the mail, but cannot send. When I send mail, I see the message "connecting to Server" and "mail sent successfully." I DON'T GET ANY KIND OF ERROR MESSAGE. Mail is never with the server.
The automatic configuration of Thunderbird sets out to "SMTP.lakeland.ws" port 587 server. After several failed attempts to send a mail to "[email protected]" myself, I've reconfigured the SMTP outgoing, based on the configuration of my Windows 7 Windows Live Mail on another laptop: "mail.airstreamcomm.net" Port 25.
When I sent mail with this setup I was prompted for the password for my mail server. I gave the password and mail appeared to send. NO ERROR MESSAGE and mail went to the sent queue. Subsequent attempts seem to send the email with the MESSAGE of NO ERROR but never gets the mail on the server Lakeland.ws .
I then remove the account from Thunderbird and launched the automatic sequence of configuration to set the settings back to the original configuration. Still have the problem
Help, please!
Try to send a mail to [email protected]. I will answer you if I understand, and I think I'll

Under resolution of the problems of connectivity after a power failure, I have updated the firmware via NETGEAR engineering. Have connectivity all return, but on the "home page" of engineering, I have a STATUS: not activated under WiFi connection message. When I opened the connection WiFi button, I get a "can not scan wireless networks. Make sure that your wireless network card is enabled and is not disabled"message.
Yet... all my devices wifi in the House appear on the network map, and I HAVE wifi access via the router on 2 devices, I tested.
What this message REALLY says to... and how can me I make it disappear?

Hi @bemused59,
The message on the "Home" of the NETGEAR engineering page indicates that the device you are using does not have a wireless adapter, or you turn off / disabled. If you are using a laptop, it is possible that there a physical wireless switch that must be turned on and off. I recommend the manual for it.
Kind regards

No! Microsoft never this. It's a scam and with various
the names and phone numbers, those who become very common these days.In addition to their money get on your part to do anything of any value,
If you leave them in your computer, which knows what losses they did are
where confidential information they stole. So if you have done so, I highly recommend that you do both of the following
immediately:1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
2. change all of your passwords, especially banks or other
financial sites.

When I try to download an update such as KB971514, the States of MS web page validation is necessary. When I press on continue takes you to a page of validation with another button continue to validate. I click on that and you get a result of vaildiation failed. However, when I press the button "validate now" it validates fine
I havd a 100% legal OS and software and download updates without any problem. Validation has never been a problem until now.
I had vista on my molding machine home for 3 years with no problems. However, did move to Ultimate Apr 2010.
